    two noticable things:
    1) pull fail!
    2) the alarms had a pretty good beat.

Maybe not with most panels, but the hotel was coding the 4901-9820 horns differently than the TrueAlert horn/strobes. I'm guessing if the panel can't do multiple codings, they must've had some relay devices connected to it.

That's just what we call it. It's the room with my fire alarm setup and computers. My bedroom is in the room next door. It's on the third floor of a very old house.

i like the combo of code 3 and march time, it sounds really good

It stands for notification appliance circuit. It's what the horns and strobes are connected to on the panel.

It's possible with Simplex panels too. I learned that a few years ago at a hotel at 3 in the morning.

Wait... if the 9820 horns were in continuous and truealerts in code-3, they might be smartsync truealerts. They could be going in to a sync module, which provides temporal code-3 automatically.

I've always wanted to hear one alarm on code 3 and one on march time

In my school there is a autocall(SA) pull-rod(circa 1950) fire alarm it doing the code 4-4 with vibratory horns this system was restored in 1998

I think this is like a system that was replaced and originally had 34ts as alarms in March time, but then decided to keep the old horns and pulls and have SpectrAlerts in code 3

Chase Reinhardt I agree I've seen a system just like this except they had Edwards 270-SPO's rathers than BG-10's.

If I knew the annunciator, I could probably tell you what panel they had. But the 4010 and 4008 are both addressable. The 4008 can have differently coded NAC's. But on the 4100U, 4006, and 4005, you need a whole different 4-output NAC card.

great video. could you possibly do a video with the 34T on continuous along with the spectra alert advance on code 3 please? Thank you

  • @thesdx
    @thesdx  11 років тому +1

I've considered doing that, but I can't find a way to do it without it looking messy. I like having it on one board since it can be taken down all at once and doesn't leave big holes in the wall.

I used to have a BG10 like that, and I would always keep the screw somewhat lose so I didn't have to reset the pull. Just hold down the pull thing until the alarm goes off.

  • @thesdx

No, the Space Age light wasn't polarized and the NAC showed a short.
