Am i the only one who loved this season more than the first...personally i think its because it reminded me of old school bollywood movies which were filled with intense stares and sensual dances where enemies turn into lovers but face social and familial prejudice against them..i used to love those forbidden love stories in earlier bollywood movies

You feel me too. "Sign of the times" totally killed it in that wedding scene. Again all the actors were brilliant. The wink from Anthony's brother, the queen's nod, Kate and the bride's entrance, Anthony's bow... just beautiful.

I think there was shift before this scene. The bee sting is the turning point of their relationship in my opinion. The library and hunting scene were before this dance so I think episode 3 was def the turning point
There was definitely desire during the hunting scene when Anthony put his arms around her and in the library where they almost kiss
@@mariarivadeneira3360 Fair point, and perhaps I mis-phrased that; yes, the bee sting was a big moment, but I felt the two didn't understand what they were feeling--which can happen. You feel something instantly, but sometimes it can take a while for you to realize what it is you are feeling. I think this dance helped them both to realize what they were feeling.

@@juonithzramos1089 I also think Anthony for sure was feeling something because at the beginning of episode 4 he asked Benedict if it was a good idea to bring the Sharmas out here hence his growing feelings toward Kate. What I really don’t understand is why he was asking Edwina to dance first when just last night he was almost kissing Kate and touching her when they went out hunting. If I was Kate, I’ll be so confused with the mixed signaling. I would think like “this guy desires me ok but he obviously likes my sister more”

The most fascinating part about their dance is thag they keep on pretending on their feelings while almost every person they know felt their connection except Edwina. I really love their chemistry, intense stares which makes them a lot different from the first season.I related to both of them in terms of being the first child and the responsibilities. Good thing they had the happy ending they deserve.
One of my favorite scene is when Edwina said "Am I really that blind?" LOL. The whole season is basically an appreciation toward first-borns
same as a firstborn I truly resonated with Anthony from the first season itself, I lost my father at 8 years of age so it made me very very emo when I saw the 3rd episode it was like reliving my past even though it was in no way same as Anthony's. this season was definitely on a deeper level than the first hence many would have found it boring for less sex lmao.

Ok so I love how this shows that Anthony is a superior dancer. Check the cut that is shot above them at 1.12 where he actually extends his leg so that Kate has a smoother transition to travel back center. Also as the lead partner, he’s just a slight bit faster which keeps them in time with the music. Mind you they NEVER take their eyes off each other not for a second! It’s the little things they put in so that even a dancer like me could see them!

Yes I so loved his leg extension/sweep,so subtle and sweet. The intimacy throughout the whole dance just beautiful 🥰❤️.
I love how Edwina was like, "Was I really this blind?" and when you watch things like this back you have to be like, "Yes, and you pushed and pushed them to like each other so much!"

Netflix just executed the BEST CON on the show that we were so caught up in the tension/frustration between Kate and Anthony that we hated how little time they had together when in fact they did have a lot of scenes together and which also made us all rejoice when they finally got together in the end and made us want more of Kanthony in S3!

I loved this season more than season 1. I was at first disappointed that the duke would not appear, but I hardly noticed he was missing. The chemistry between these two was amazing. I loved watching Anthony grow and finally allowing himself to fall in love. And Kate is absolutely gorgeous and all around bad ass. Hoping to see more of them in season 3.
Anthony finally allowing himself to ADMIT he was in love. It was clear, from the first moment they ran across each other, that he was smitten. If Kate hadn't shot him down at the first ball and kept pushing him away afterwards, he wouldn't have been able to hold out as long as he did.
Simone Ashley has signed in for season 3. So definitely more kate and anthony. They won't be the staring couple, but as long as it's both of them I'm good.
They are Lord and Lady Bridgerton now. They own the house!
If he notice the way he dances at 1:10. Look how widely he swings his leg out while the other men barley move their own. It’s like he waited his whole life for that dance. He wanted it to be perfect.

Their chemistry was OFF the charts. They are in my top 5 onscreen chemistry couples together with such giants of onscreen chemistry as was present in Moonlighting or X-Files.
The entire movie had beautiful instrumentals, but this one stood out.😁

I love them so much.. no hate but i like this season better 😭😭😭 i kept replaying the scenes and watch the episodes over and over again.. their acting is so good, Jonathan really stold out this season and they add many funny scenes and the series is just exciting while also adding some scenes that got me so emotional that i cried plenty tears. And their chemistry is fire 😭😭❤❤

I love this scene because later on Kate just got to show the extent of her love to Edwina to Anthony. I forgot about season 1 and keep rewatching season 2 for all the FEELS, really.
I watched some Simone Daphne moments again from season 1. Though Simon is hot 🥵 no doubt but kanthony is all heart ❤️ love their chemistry, feels more intimate
I saw in an interview that the choreographer wanted to make sure that the dances spoke to the audience so that they could interpret the differences. You can notice a distinct difference between the way he dances with Edwina and the way he dances with Kate.
Also this dance is supposed to be sensual cause it has a lot of hand movements.

Yeah, the way he dances with Edwina, while nice in itself, is very formal and calculated. The way he dances with Kate, it’s like fire. Like he’s been dancing with her all his life or something.

His face when he’s dancing with her says it all-he’s realizing how drawn he is to her. All this time they’ve been fighting their feelings, but in this moment, they’re like two magnets.
The tension can be cut with a knife and by far the best couple in the Bridgerton stories I love them so much.
I work with dancers all day and the sweeping leg extension was flawless!! It added to the intimacy and elegance of the whole scene. Proof that Anthony was at his best in Kate's presence!! He was both supporting her and besotted with her! 💕

Right at the very end, the camera pans up and Kate's eyes are closed with her back to him. She was there already. He was there already. The next 4 episodes were just formality. Hard to place when they fell in love with each other. Bee sting, hunting trip, thunderstorm in the library. But they were definitely there when they danced.
This scene was on another level. The music, the choreography, THEM! How on earth did they do this? It was so romantic, so tense, I had actual shivers. What is this witchery?
The funny thing is that Edwina later accuses Kate of not really knowing her and forcing her version of life on her. When the reality is that Edwina had lived such a sheltered life that she had become sort of self centered and didn't care two foots about Kate and what she wanted until the accident

I think they will play a major parts in the seasons to come since I'm assuming it will center around the bridgetons household. It will be exciting to see Kate replacing violet as the new viscountess. I expect Kate and violet to will manage the rest of the brothers and sisters. I hope she's as witty as she was this season taming Anthony and conspiring with the violet, Daphne, Danbury and her Majesty of course. The queen is everything is this series
One thing about this whole sequence is Anthony tried hard not to even look at Kate. However Edwina blindly forced his hand. Once he looked at Kate it was a wrap. He couldn’t take his eyes off her and from then on when she was in the room, nobody else mattered.
I've reqatched this scene a million times. And to me, you can tell this is when they actually fell in love with each other. Their chemistry is off the charts. I love how everyone around them knew something, except poor Edwina lol

In the book, Edwina knew all along. I think they didnt adapt that because they added the sheffield's dowry drama
I think it's better because in the book they got married to hide the scandal. But in the series they married for love. Anthony realised it that he loves her and wants to marry her for the same reason. But still there were very less KANTHONY scenes. I didn't like the Featherington drama that went on for so long.

I also prefer that they made it very obvious that it was love at first sight and i loved all the pining rather than Anthony being totally clueless with Kate all until the end. And yeah, there were a LOT of subplots this season, with the Featheringtons, Benedict and art, Colin and Marina again, the hunt for Whistledown and Eloise with a guy who we already know she will not end up with.
I thought season 1 was ok but season 2 blew me away. The chemistry between the two is unmatched. I loved the story, absolutely amazing

The acting of these two is just SUPERB, especially Anthony's. The subtlety in his face is remarkable, very natural, far superior to that of most actors. I believe his star will rise very high. He BECOMES his character in a way that few people can. In that regard, he reminds me of Meryl Streep.

This scene was so breathtakingly beautiful and symbolic. The way they looked at each other so so much intensity and passion and even desire is so unreal. I never thought a dance could be this meaningful and impactful. Kanthony are for the books!

This is probably my favorite/ most watched scene! In the book Kate was a " bad" dancer and had no confidence, where as in the show she is so beautiful and has so much confidence I just love it!
True, I read the book sfter watching S2 and I was shocked. I can say that Show Kate and Anthony are better characters than book Kate and Anthony. Book Anthony was so agressive and much more misogynistic and someone who did not understand consent. And book Kate was so insecure and boring. Also the bee scene!!! So cringy in book.
i honestly loved their storyline more than the first season! their struggles as a firstborn really tells so much how big of a responsibility they had to carry for their family. i just actually hoped netflix focused more on their story than the featherington’s :/ they had more screen time than the bridgertons and the main characters for this season.
K, but can we start a sub-ship for the couple dancing in the top right, with the dashing man whose leg sweep is on par with Anthony's... They have their own little side story going on.

This is one of my favourite scenes! Love it so much, everything about it is perfect. The music, the costumes, the eye contact, film angles and those looks from everyone … wow. It really sweeps you up into the story and off our sofas …

This is probably my favorite dance scene in the series so far. Lots of hand touching/holding, spinning and embracing their partners. I esp love the spinning with hands criss crossing part 1:18 and when they twirl each other and the one being twirled immediately whip their heads around to look at their partners 0:58. Such a beautiful choreography complimented by the excellent cinematography
One of the most brilliant pieces of acting without saying a word.
The constant unwavering eye contact is magnetic and everyone in that room can see that like magnets, they are drawn to each other almost against their will.

It’s Incredible! Violins are such a beautiful & versatile instrument, also I love that they do a lot of modern music as it’s just fun to hear them so differently this time. I had to download the Bridgerton Soundtracks & they are great!
