Actually no, you don't get the rank of Padawan unless a Jedi Knight or Master CHOOSES to take you as their apprentice. You are not placed with a Knight or Master. They must choose you. Obi-Wan almost wasn't a Jedi because of this. He was actually sent to the Jedi Service Corps and met QuiGon on a different planet and helped him with his mission so he took his as his Padawan.
@@arbknight12 That was during war time, so it was likely different rules to normal, what DarthTorrm Gaming says is true, that is how it has always been, the Jedi knight or Master chooses a padawan to take on, and if you don't get chosen that's that.
I always thought the Explore Corps was a branch that had actual masters in it. Like you have to have true loremasters and the like to properly lead and categorize the items found.
What would you consider ahsoka? I know that she originally had a green lightsaber as a padawan, so would that make her a consular if she went to knighthood? She was pretty combative like Anakin and would probably be a peacekeeper, but she was also very in-tune with the force and had visions at a young age so idk. In the final season of clone wars she got blue lightsabers, but I’d say by that time and by rebels onwards she is more of a consular (even though she isn’t technically in the order).
What's crazy about Anakin being on the Jedi council but not being made a master is that if Ashoka never left Anakin would have never turned to the dark side and he would have become a Jedi master and he would have been able to save padme also I'm glad the clone wars series helped explain why he wasn't able to become a master because before that came out and I saw revenge of the sith I was confused by that
Ashoka didn't leave she was kicked out because she was framed for something and when the truth was found out she chose not to go back because she did not trust them any more.

In the post-Ruusan order it would be so I could forge my own path and dedicate myself to the Force rather than to the council. As such I would easily survive Order 66 because I’d just be roaming the galaxy helping people while in the pursuit of knowledge rather than fighting in the Clone Wars.
@@666Abaddon777 There are a great many more things that "could have been", than what actually are. And yet, by saying"he was a much more balanced teacher for "him" ", who or what do you mean? Do you mean that Qui Gon jinn was more balanced, and thus, a "better teacher for "him?" Or, do you mean Obi-Wan to be the "better" of the two? All in all, a very confusing answer to the question posed, I would say.
There is something I don't understand... Jedi Consulars seen on the Old Republic (as seen in SWTOR and KOTOR 1 and 2) often used the Force as their primary tool for fighting foes when needed. In KOTOR2, for example, there were force "styles" instead of Lightsaber forms. In SWTOR, although you carry a lightsaber, you could strike with telekinesis, earthquakes and other Force powers. In the "modern era" Consulars are very good Lightsaber fighters, as seen in Clone Wars, or the modern games like Luminara Unduli, Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti and Barris Offee. I wonder if that is a limitation of the time period the media was created or if there is a real reason Consulars ended up using less and less the Force, which required a greater survival training in Lightsaber combat
If I did become a Jedi Knight, I would probably pursue a more Sentinel level because I have a free spirit and I would try to balance my connection with the force as well as my light saber styles.
i would think that there would have been some padowans that acctualy wanted to go into the side branches like the medic core, agicultural core and last but not least the exploration core. it is strange that we see almost nothing about the exploration core etc. there would be some good potential for some interesting storys there. also if Padme was force sensetive and a jedi i would think she would join the diplomatic brace of the conselours. we see her on different types of diplomatic missions during the clone wars and before this so it would be fitting for her.
I'd love to watch a "What if?" Episode. Directed by G Lucas or Filoni & Favreau. ...Where Yoda falls to the darkside. And becomes a Sith for a day. But at the end of the episode, it's revealed that it was all just a Vision (Not real). So we can see what Darth Yoda would be like. Scary I bet. They gave us a small taste in the Animated Clone Wars. But, I mean a deeper dive into Dark Yoda.
Since he said that Jedi seers can get visions of the force. Does that mean that Cal Kestes has a really strong connection and Force ability? Since he can see the echoes from the past?
