Watching and hearing you get emotional reading your ct scan results brought back so many memories. I was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma bone cancer in September 2019 and I remember reading my results and seeing the words, “Highly indicative of a bone malignancy with a 6cm mass at the top of the manubrium...” It made me physically sick to read those results and to see the scans of the tumor in my sternum. And like you, I was told TWICE that my “lump was nothing”. When a doctor tells you something it’s human nature to accept their diagnosis and to put stock in it. I left both of those appointments like, “Welp! It’s nothing to worry about! The doctor says so!”
I know cancer at our age is typically unlikely. But it hurts my heart to know I tried twice to catch this cancer and they dismissed me.
For me, the call I got telling me to get to the ER right away for a ct scan and then being told “you definitely have bone cancer but we don’t yet know what kind or what grade” was the most traumatic part of my journey so far. And that’s also counting my massive chest wall reconstruction and two week hospital recovery. Hearing the words, “you have cancer” is a moment in time that rocks you to your core. Life, as we know it, changed in an instant.
Thank you for posting this video. I sincerely wish you all the best for a happy and healthy future!

Proud of you Kayla, I can relate to your story. I can be your mom age wise. That tells me conventional doctors never change as time goes on. That's normal, I guess, because they all go to the same old universities, study in the same old books. Take good care of yourself. You're not alone because The Almighty is with you, otherwise, you and I will not be alive today. Do good to yourself and to others, that's why we here for.

It's hard to know what to do in these situations I think. Do we follow the doctor's orders or do what we think is right when no one is listening to us. I'm glad you're okay now!

Omgggg so basically, I got diagnosed with bone cancer last year, it was one of my most traumatic moment in my life. I remember it was beginning of covid and there was restrictions on going out and stuff, I remember my doc calling me on the phone for my results saying , I got stage 4 bone cancer an aggressive one and it’s localized around my knee area, and he was like you’ll loose your leg if we don’t do it ASAP !! it might spread and I was so devastated but yeah month later, they cut my r.leg. up to this day I’m still traumatized and sometimes I kinda feel like, I was rushed like I didn’t had no say and the fact that I had multiple test done with in those two months it was so intense and exhausting. But I’m glad I’m cancer free:)

Canada can keep its socialized medicine. Every patient on here from Canada had to fight for help. I’m a 2 time lung cancer survivor. It was caught so early all I had to have is lung surgery both times first in 2007 & the 2nd in 2011. My doctors were wonderful. Both time I found out one day & my drs had already scheduled me with surgeon in 2 days & surgery followed very quickly. I’m thankful The USA does not have socialized medicine. Similar stories as Canada also happen in Australia. Glad you are well

I'm binge watching UA-cam videos about lymphoma right now because I'm only 15 but I've had a lot of issues lately... basically went to my doctor and he took an x-ray. He said that there was a mass (probably a tumor) on my neck above my collarbone and that I needed a biopsy. I got one and let's just say it hurt. Anyways, he called me this morning and said that I'm (and obviously my mom) are going to need to come in tomorrow to discuss the results. I'm kinda scared that it might be lymphoma, which is what I originally suspected, but these videos are helping. I hope you're doing well.

hello! i had the chest pain for about 2 weeks before I started getting tests and biopsies done. I would say if you are having pain to firmly tell your doctor that you are concerned and see if they can at least do an X-ray to see if there is anything going on. If this pain you have keeps coming back then you should for sure get it looked at, your body may be trying to tell you something!

@@yonggukbang9672 exactly, a lot of doctors dismiss our symptoms and then we are left longer than should be before diagnosis, there is a huge stigma against young adults who go to the doctors and complain about not feeling right, we are always dismissed. there is not much to be done except to keep pushing, getting second opinions and demanding that they do some tests because we know our bodies and therefore when something isn't feeling right it should be taken seriously.

It often takes doctors quite awhile to find cancer. It took sick children's hospital 16 years to figure it out for me and if I hadn't left there to get a decent surgeon I would have died of brain cancer at 16. That was 41 years ago. God bless you.

If this was in the US, you would have so much debt from all the medical bills - you’d just lose the will to live anyway. Or - in some cases - you can’t even get treatment until you can prove you can pay for it first. Sucks. I think - all things considered- I would take a 3,4,5,6 hour wait at the hospital but know everyone is getting treatment medically. 😢😔. Sucks. I’ve spent probably over $70,000 since 2011 in medical expenses and surgeries... as a single mom. So no chance for saving $ for emergencies, or retirement, etc.

Breeze, I hear you. Thanks to the Democrats our healthcare has been screwed. I remember $50 a month insurance, 2500 annual max and insurance companies rarely kicked a claim back. That was in the 70 ,80 and through mid 90's. Then insurance decided if medicare could refuse claims, so could they.... and the down hill trip began. See when the government gets involved the industry will be ruined. The most recent example is when the government took over the federal student loan program.... now look at that mess...
