Dude, aluminum is 3 times lighter than steel, steel tiles are 0.5-0.75mm thick. This means that aluminum can be up to 1.5mm thick while maintaining weight. 1.5mm cannot be penetrated even by hailstones. I mean why is it still not common? Aluminum is the most common metal in the world, you can make a roof even from 2mm tiles. I think if they do this on their own, having a minimum of machines, you can make an excellent eternal roof.
So is this product sold to the general public or do you have to be a business to buy these? I'm asking because I have a serious interest, but the interest is keeping people I don't trust off my roof as I would do it myself like anything else in life, I just don't trust contractors, I know there are some good ones, but I work too hard to get burnt so I work harder to ensure that doesn't happen. But if I can't buy these without being a contractor then good ol fashion metal roof will be the way I go. It will last my life just fine, neah I don't like the asphalt shingles either what a waste.
If I had an industrial press, I could make this fucking roof in a couple of days from sheets of aluminum. It's very simple. I'm still wondering why it's not common
@@hibahprice6887 Yeah stupid a man can't just buy this stuff and do it theirself, oh well I'm not in need of a new roof anymore the one I got now should last my life lol. With a mold I could make these with my HF jack powered press lol, I dont need anything industrial related to make these small panels, maybe I should figure it out and find a new income stream lol.
@@hibahprice6887 Bet you have more money than me, get to making it, I'll be your first customer, just bought a home and want to redo the roofing over my porch.
Good luck getting a price. I feel like tge consumer is kept in the dark so the contractor can name their price and Permalock can maintain THAT relationship. Its more important to maintain that middleman to them. Go to Reinke shakes. At least tgeir warranty doesnt REQUIRE a licensed install.
Hail damage ?
lol, not shocking they didn't reply to you, I'm serious about wanting some and I'm wondering if they will bother to answer my question or not...
