Update: Mynski’s run has been rejected due to lack of evidence of prior runs. This doesn’t mean it was faked, but the verifiers didn’t have enough evidence to verify it.
i honestly don’t think that alone should be enough to discredit a run.

ye.. kinda reads like "No you cant have a wr because you don't have any other runs on record."
...what
kinda dumb but ok
If a run can be rejected solely on that one aspect, especially a run as significant as a world record run, then they should definitely make at the very least a public statement saying that it is part of the requirements to have previous experience.
Plot Twist: Mynski is actually Illumina on an alt account, he wants the top 3 spots on the leaderboard to all be him
lmao
LMFAO
LMFAO
Lol
that is what i was thinking while watching this
Not all people like to stream or be recognized for speedrunning. Some people just do it because they found it fun. I can see this runner speedrunning because he liked it, and when he started to get good times, he begun to record them. And he just happened to have enough luck to get a WR, so he submitted it. In a category like RSG, you can't call someone a cheater just because they were lucky.
Well one dream and two ye I agree besides someone new to speed running wouldn’t get a 4 bed no f3
@@ezra1369 There's a difference between getting lucky and Dream.
I mean that’s how I run like I’ve never submitted a run yet I still have been top 10 in 1.14 and 1.7
but randomly creating an account the day before you get the wr is super suspicious
no....he actually has a good gaming chair
You talked about no routing mistakes and no time trying to find stuff, but at this point, you kinda need that for wr
But it’s too perfect
@@ecclesss7149 No lol its not even close to "too perfect" Dreams streams were all "too perfect" and we know why, this isnt nearly to that level
@@ecclesss7149 that’s the point of the wr
@@JackTheripper911 the problem is that he didnt double back a single time
@@cgborca5361 That's the only reason he got a 11 minutes wr.
Because normally other people doubleback and stuff which reduces their time if not in high luck.
Honestly it's probably just someone who didn't feel like submitting a run they didn't think was world record. They probably speedrun mostly for fun, and don't make videos or stream cause it's not their thing. When they realized they might have world record, that's when they decided to finally upload, cause it might be world record.
Yeah agreed. It looks like he was just doing it for fun and got hella lucky lol
yeah if i was a speedrunner i wouldn’t bother with submitting runs if they aren’t anything high like top 5 or something

@@jackarmstrong7285 bro I ain’t calling sus on him but there is no way that this dude speedruns just for fun, also, beating a pb is a thing that everyone brags about, I did it a lot of times myself and I speedrun mostly for fun too

Edit: I fixed the spelling, stop complaining
Ya
Same
ikr same i didnt even get it recommended
me too
There was a new record?
It's dumb that 'it's a new account' is a 'reason' that it might be faked. Like, if I got a wr, I would create an account and post immediately. Not much thought put into that one.
Well first of all you can't get a WR first try, so that means a lot of practice time, by the time you can attempt a world record run you should be able to secure sub 20s and even more impressive personal bests, recording them would give you validity for later runs wich you are going to want in order to avoid suspicion in case you actually break the world record, common sense.
I hope he didn't cheat and also believe he didn't, but being sus when you are not the impostor is the bigest mistake you can make in any situation.

9:49 you mentioned that Mynski didn't know where the quadrants were. This is actually not true as he broke some of a block when he entered the nether. The block-breaking animation shows cardinal directions and can be used to locate quadrants. I've seen this strat trending in many no F3 runs, mainly Illumina's WR. This strat isn't too precise, but we can safely assume that Mynski got a rough idea of quadrants by partially breaking that block.
Nice catch!
Yes, and you are more likely to find a fortress by traveling east or west because of how they generate
@@Criticalmcsr pretty sure that's for before 1.16, correct me if I'm wrong tho
fun fact illumina actually got a 4 bed in his old 15:48 pb, but the video doesn't exist anymore because he forgot to save the vod(first stream on his no mic account). i think there might be clips of the one cycle though
Pretty sure there is a clip of that, yeah.
God I miss that run, it's one of the coolest runs I've seen. The no-F3 4 bed was the least of it. He went to the bastion without an iron pick (kinda like Sizzler in his WR). Hit a really short blind from a location I STILL wish we'd have heard the explanation for*, saw the stronghold down a cave without having to finish triangulating, it was just cool. And it's all completely lost, save for the ending. Very sad. It's one of those I probably would have watched a dozen times if a video had been made.
* He hit up the blaze spawner that was closest to the bastion, traveled some ten seconds to the second one to get its first spawn cycle, then returned to the first for the rest of his blaze rods and built the blind portal there. He must have had some feeling that the blind was better at the first spawner in order to have made the return trip, but we never got to hear why. He came on mic after the PB ready to play back the run and talk about it, and then there was nothing there.
and he didn’t want to submit the run because he wanted a better time to place higher on the leaderboards

In my opinion, he probably had been doing speedruns as a hobby but never cared to submit any. When he got the WR run he celebrated and only later decided to submit it.
This was me when I first started running games. I just did it as a hobby when I was bored in my free time but later on I decided to upload runs online
Someone: *gets a new record*
Everyone: *oh no he's good, he must be cheating!*
Yes
Yeah thats usually how untalented trash thinks unfortunately.
Not true in the slightest
If someone people in the 100m sprint community had never heard of posted a video of themselves running 100m in a time that beat the world record, do you think people in the community would accept the video and say the person was the new fastest runner? I mean, maybe they ran a lot and this was the first video they'd uploaded, and they'd simply never competed live before? What about if the person was wearing shoes that weren't optimal for running, yet beat the record anyway? What if, because they were an unknown sprinter to the community, they had nothing to lose if they were caught cheating? Would you accept it?
How about if the current world record holder, or 2nd place or other established sprinter, uploaded a video of themselves beating the world record, would the community accept that? What about if it happened in front of a live audience? And they were wearing shoes that gave them optimal grip on the track? Someone who's sprints had been verified time and time again and had an entire career to lose if they were found to be cheating? Would you accept it?
Now obviously they aren't great analogies, but I think they work well enough for this scenario.

It might not be fake at all, nobody here believes its a fake run. The only thing off about it, is that its the first ever run they recorded, uploaded and submitted to the site. Which then makes it look *suspicious* because the moderators need valid proof that yes this guy has been on leaderboards before, got some of his runs verified and only then would the world record get verified. There have been way too many times when people have submitted their first ever run which was a world record but after inspecting it they either found out there were things that seemed way too odd and reject the run or the run would be completely fine and all but due to no past runs they could be risking a cheater letting them into the leaderboards.

We had a school assembly today, and the speaker was talking about bullying. The speech was pretty boring, but there came a point in his presentation where he said "I know there are some students among us who have been subject to bullying." Honestly, I couldn't believe my ears. I thought, "There is no way the speaker just said Among Us."
I decided to troll the speaker by standing up and yelling "When the imposter is sus!" while making a huge grin (just like in the memes). To my surprise, no one laughed. Everyone fell dead silent and looked at me. The speaker said "I'm sorry, what was that?" I decided to explain to everyone what I was talking about, and said "Get it guys? It's from Among Us." Still, no one understood the reference. I turned towards my friend Caleb (I know him from band), and said "You get it, right? It's from among us!" However, he had his head buried into his lap. I looked at my friend Dalton (He plays the trumpet in band, just like I do), and yelled "Dalton, do you get the joke????" He didn't even make eye contact. Suddenly, the assistant principal came up behind me and said "Please sit down, this is a school assembly." I screamed back at her "SCHOOL ASSEMBLY?? MORE LIKE EMERGENCY MEETING!" I then naruto ran down to the stage, pointed at the assistant principal, and said "SHE'S SUS!!! I SAW HER FAKE A SCAN IN MEDBAY!" Still, no one laughed. I then said "I'm not the imposter, I was in vents the whole time!!" (referencing a meme). No one understood the reference. I saw people whispering to each other, but no one laughed. I then made a face resembling the "big chungus" meme, and said "You guys don't get it?? That's not very Wholesome 100." When I realized no one was laughing, I yelled "Don't any of you guys use reddit?" The audience was dead silent, until someone yelled "Sit down!" (which was very rude and not wholesome) I pointed back at him and shouted "You're breathtaking!!" I don't think anyone got the joke becaude no one laughed, so I said "Do you guys know who Keanu Reeves is?" No one responded, which is kind of cringe because I thought that at least SOMEONE would know who Keanu is.
I ended up getting escorted to the principal's office and getting suspended for a week, but in my opinion, it was totally worth it. I trolled EVERYONE. I'm gonna forever go down in Reddit history. I also realized that there aren't any redditors at my school (which is very cringe in my opinion).

The run itself doesn't look faked or anything. But I think the biggest issue is the fact he made his speedrun account a couple days ago. You would think he would make an account when he first started speedrunning, even if he didn't break any records. But for just that reason I don't think you can call someone a cheater.
Will think about the following. He ran this time and was thinking about submitting it, but wasn't sure about because of scenarios like this, people assuming that he cheated. So he created the account, and was still unsure if he should submit it.
We don't know who the person is, because of that, speculation about why he did something or not is just a waste of time.

Could just be Karl jobst making a "how to fake a speedrun" video too.
Plot Twist: This is actually Illumina's Alt Speedrun Account and he just beat the world record without F3 in a very anonymus way.
The only significant things that could have been rigged was the blaze spawn rates and the dragon’s perch time. Everything else seems to be pretty legit. I sure hope this isn’t faked because if it’s not then other speed runners will analyze potential factors that caused the blaze spawns to be so optimal and apply that to their own runs.
Could be that it was the first part of the fortress to load in keening that the mob cap was heightened for the spawns to work but idk
The way it could be faked that wouldn't involve modifying any game mechanics would be to take a set seed run and submit it as a random seed run. Play some random seeds, find a pretty good one, practice where to go in that seed so you never need to search or backtrack and so your blind portal gets you close to the fortress, get a good run on the seed you've practiced, and then submit it as a random seed.
@@jayadratha9836 set seeds have a different loading screen than random seeds, so you can’t get away with that ever
@@pandachong7942 The video should show world creation including that you haven't set a seed, which means if you're passing off a set-seed run as a random seed one you need to splice the world creation anyway. So you splice the loading screen from when you first generated the world as a random seed with the practiced run you're submitting.
IIrc the thing that'll get you caught is if you splice a loading screen from a different seed, since each seed's loading screen looks different. I believe that's what happened with Drem's run, that the loading screen shown in his video was loading a different seed.

This is kinda strage considering that Brentillia didn't have any run history and he managed to upload run
Brentilda was already a respected member of the community and had evidence of past attempts
You didn’t mention the dragon also flipped which makes it way even harder a 4 bed no f3 isn’t that hard but with a flip it’s almost impossible
"On the morning of April 14th" lol almost like hes telling Titanic story because of the date
UA-camrs: i got some mining / building off camera
Mynski: i got some speedrun off camera
"if you were to fake a speedrun, this is the perfect seed to do so"... Can't you say that for every world record seed?
Fun fact: Feinberg got a new FSG wr but no one is talking about it
Nemerald already beat and there is video on TWT check it out
@@sohumkumbhar9735 nah feinberg got a 7:16
@@sohumkumbhar9735 Feinberg got a better time like 2 days ago
@@onyxify Yeah true!
@@onyxify sorry I didn't now and I also saw the run fast as fuck
So when will the mod review be in? I'm curious to see how this pans out.
I don't think it was faked personally. I am most impressed with the quality of this video. Great job, new sub!
"mynski" sounds like a play on the name "niftski" (niftski just recently got the first 4:54 in smb1 any%) to me
Didn’t even notice that
Oh boy is niftski a fucking legend for getting that 4:54
I was thinking the exact same thing
Yeah I was thinking that. Also am I the only one here who doesn’t think keyboard in smb1 is cheating? Lol
@@ThaAwesome10 i dont either, would prefer wr / first 4:54 on original hardware but its still super impressive
He could’ve just officially gotten into speed running, by making his account only the day prior. He’s probably been practicing for a while, this looks legitimate to me.
Got my sub bro. Enjoyable vid, cheers.
first time not hearing the cicada 3301 song by lemmino on a speedrun video in months
commented before the premier ender lolololol
Edit: I honestly believe that the runner did not fake the run. I think that the runner was legit. The first reason, the blind travel wasn't sort of planned. Since he had no F3, he couldn't go for a guaranteed good blind travel. So instead of searching a place, he just did it right at the Blaze Spawner. Also all of your reasons that you thought it was real, I pretty much agree with all of them. So I do not think the runner faked the WR. Also, he should be aware that if it was fake and people figured it out, he would definitely get a lot of hate and I don't think people would want that.
@EternalTrash2 I noticed more things than just the blind travel, he was always on a beeline for 1. the shipwreck, 2. the bastion, 3. the fortress
I don't think the run is fake, but in my opinion no F3 is actually better evidence for it being fake. If you used F3 and had a great blind at a random spot people would question why you did it there instead of optimal cords (although proximity to cords could be an acceptable reason). In other words no F3 usage is a good excuse for using non optimal blind travel coordinates with low stronghold distance. If this was the case though, it would mean he looked for a seed with good blind travel at the spawner. You could just as easily do the same thing with typical optimal coordinates nearby, so cheating in this way doesn't completely make sense. The fact that he nailed the no hitbox 4 bed despite the dragon flip also gives him strong credibility as a skilled no F3 runner. The lack of history and account age doesn't look promising either but those things could have easily been faked. Just make an account and wait a month or two, and record some other sub 20 runs. Why would you go to the trouble of doing an insane job faking the run and neglect those things? In conclusion I think it's real but anything is possible. This is all speculation and opinion. It's best to let the mods have the ultimate say since their verification methods will take actual evidence into account along with the circumstantial details.
Isn't it perfectly conceivable, for a housemate/family member to be pressuring a very skilled player to publish their runs?
Within such a narrative, a world record would be the most likely breaking point, when they finally go public.
I'm not a big speedrun fan, and I don't really like Minecraft anymore (haven't played it ever since they required account migration), but your videos are very interesting and entertaining still. It's like watching Sherlock Holmes or Adrian Monk explaining how the murderer carried out his plan.
ooh the background intro music is nice
Ok, is it just me or do you all see TWO eyes of ender thrown at 6:38 going opposite directions
He's holding an eye of ender, if that's what you're talking about
I thought I saw that too, but it’s the one he’s holding in his hand and the one he threw
Ig in a month the channel name should be the hourly thing
For those wondering where the run is on Mynski's channel is, it's an unlisted video now. heres the link: ua-cam.com/video/LcKnjMpVdlY/v-deo.html: no its not a rickroll. at least he didnt delete it.
THANKS MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!! I OWE YOU A SUB 2:20 AFTER SUB 10 FSG
@@Darkmint5549 lmao!! howd you find this LOL
None of those thinks happend
Everybody: Talks about luck, less experience, etc.
Me: He used a flipping wooden axe as a weapon although!!
i mean why use 3 iron on an iron axe when you can make wooden axe and still 2 hit every blaze?
