I grew up listening to this song. Now that I’m a young adult, the more I listen to this song and the more I see how this song so deeply impacts me and everyone else who hears it. I have no doubt this song will be sung in heaven when we get there, by hundreds of thousands of voices praising God. I love when Taya just lets the crowd take the lead. That’s definitely how worship is meant to be done both here and in heaven!

If u knew d story behind d song. It hits harder. The story of Peter and Jesus where he was walking on water. Jesus called him and peter had faith at first and as he was walking on the water towards Jesus, he turned his eyes away from Jesus and looked at d waves. As soon as he panicked in fear he drowned.. The song teaches and d story teaches that all our problems are like the waves that frighten us, but as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus on God, we will walk over our problems like its nothing. People wonder how christians find hope and joy in d hardest situations. Well its not a trick, its Jesus, we keep our eyes on him and keep walking on water even though our world is crashing down. That way we will be able to be with him in eternity. Problems, suffering, pain are all distractions from d joy that awaits us in his kingdom. Faith is not trusting blindly, faith is trusting even in d smallest evidence u have. Faith is d science we use to test God. I hope u seek God when u have issues. Try God

This is why Taya can perform this song so many times and go to that emotional place each time. Just heard this song a couple of days ago the first time I saw this vid.. I went totally crying.. im a 40 year old man.. but somehow this hits me hard.. Grew up on a Benedictine school but somehow along the way i grew distant to my faith and belief.. and this hits me hard.. when I heard the song..and cant stop crying..
