    Fela's music is the best music EVER! The tune played throughout this documentary is one of his greatest and I could listen to it for hours and hours without tiring! Such a melodic, hypnotic vibe. Watching this made me think again of how proud I am to be a black African. The women, the culture, the EVERYTHING! RIP FELA DE GREAT!

    Once upon a time when tumultous Africa disregarded division of skin colour, race, religious persuasions but instead stood united by the ideological dreams of self determination against any foreign oppression on humanity and Africans in this regard.
    Can we find our compass back to one for all, and all for one Africa? 🌍?

      His fight for an identity as an African is remarkable, his view of the roll of women in society is in my opinion biased and i dont really reflect myself in any of his viewpoints, nevertheless we was a great musician and a legend.

    Fela initially was singing and recording in his native Yoruba. But because he transitioned to being an activist politically and socially (and this is just what I think) he switched to English. In doing so his music transcended political and geographic boundaries to reach a broader more international audience.

    the women are the creators. very powerful. many a man wrong, in this current culture, the images at play surely put the woman inside the power complex of male influence. energetically , many woman become tempted by those male devils, using their energy to pressure and control others. from victim to perpetuation. it is subtle and is the case for some not all, how could all women or man fall into this? impossible. but this reaction does happen. and what good does it do? more pain n more of the same. as souls in bodies, we must overcome and thats together hand in hand. Reflected in relationships and matrimony. only here will harmony be in the union of two spirits

    • @ewanb2819
      @ewanb2819 5 років тому +5

      women are given a different power than men. they tend to be closer to the 'spirit' side of life, generally. yet we are so varied and each soul is so mixed. we are all connected to spirit. yet we must respect the truth in the female body, which is to give birth. it is intrinsically linked to life and the spirit behind, the life giving force, gate opener to allow for spirits to enter physical bodies. we must respect the essential aspect of womanhood which lies so close to the gate.
