Only band in the world that can pull this tune off. Jaguar Pride 💪🏾
No band sound like them I swear I don’t care what nobody got to say that’s facts just look it up they been doing this for a long time now and just keep getting better and better yes sir 👋🏾💯🩸💦👍🏾
I completely agree a southern is the GOAT.
Do yo thang, Mr. Taylor aka Head Band Director & Prof. of Music! INSPIRING!
INCREDIBLE ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I'll say it again for all the youngsters ... it's the arrangements. No one WRITES better than those young brothers in Baton Rouge. It's been that way for decades.
I Didn't enjoy this arrangement..the band played great tho
Yesss children as my grandmother would say.(Rip)
Absolutely LOVE 💗
That was dope.
First of freaking all, this is my SONG! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Close your eyes and let the music put you in the mood
Beautiful!!!

Bass drums thumping at the beginning
S U the best hands down. bootboy.
Now that's old school 🔥
Dope ass band.
Mr. Taylor has forever changed the ending of all SU’s songs. I’ve enjoyed the shuttle transformation of this beacon of light we call the HUMAN JUKEBOX
🔥🔥🔥
They killed this song!!!!!!!!
Being an old school bandhead, I've never heard this song arranged like this, but DEEPLY SATISFIED with the JUKEBOX interpretation of the System....... KEEP ON KEEPING ON
Superb and well done
The Tuba part is fire 🙌🏾🙌🏾
whoooo!!!! always love the SYSTEM>> thank you WBLS NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible
2:45 !!! 🔥🔥🔥
I was listening to this in my man cave 65 inch TV surround sound bouncing off the walls and my mom and dad walked in. I was surprised to see them but most of all they was grooving to this shit two-stepping like they was in a club in the 80s.
Old school band
Absolutely flawless 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hands down my favorite marching band playing one of my favorite old school jams 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow!!!!!!
Gave me goosebumps 😲😲
Outstanding the system would be honored 1987 tune
The arrangement is already 🔥 then the tuba part is damn near a song on it's own. Everything about this was amazing!👏🏾🤩
awesome!!! one of my all time favorite songs!! and this band nailed it!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of my old school favorites. Makes me thinks about my old flame.
Give em that smoke.
This made me so happy💕!
SU keep bridging the gap musically. Most kids would never know this 80’s hits if the Juke didn’t play it. I know many have gone to UA-cam this song because ya’ll played it. This song has been a staple in my playlist for years. Don’t stop educating and challenging this generation musically.
Well stated!
This is a fact
My sister and I used to fight over this cassette in college in the '80s because of this one song... she found it in a record shop bargain bin, loaned it to me, and I couldn't bear to part with it. Eventually I handed it back, begrudgingly. DAMN, what a killer rendition by the Southern University band that captures all the emotion, vibe and feeling of the original!
they made the horns sing
I want to hear this again. I hope they bring it back. One of my faves!
Fall 02 produced the most amazing musicians! Jones hall was popping that year and I apologize for dumping that trash can full of water onto the elevators when the freshman band members came from practice. We got put out the dorm until 3am that morning! Kedric, Javon, JP, and Treefrog killed that year. 💙💛💙
This song is #16 on HBCU Sports top cover songs 0f 2018 by HBCU Bands. CONGRATULATIONS. WE HAVE THE #3 AND #1 SPOT TOO. HATS OFF!!!! So much for the old school haters! LOL
cty lfn where is this list, I gotta see it asap
20 people are disturbing the groove right now.
This sounds good 💙💛💙💛

That's my song! Murdered it!
Sounded even better in person!! Them dam tubas!!!
Nice Jags👍 brilliant arrangement
Nice
Great sound!
I love The System!!!!!
Yeah Ked!!😲 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This sounds really good. I am an over 50 year old dude, so this brought back a lot of my college memories in the ATL in the 80s. I am a fan of the Jukebox, but I wish they had more balance between brass and woodwind. In my opinion, it is essential for all music, but especially for ballads and moderate grooves like this one. That is the one thing that I don't like about them. I probably feel like this because I grew up with the Marching 100 (four generations of my family are FAMU graduates). HOWEVER.....This Morehouse Man loves the SU DOLLS! #HBCUunity #HBCUPRIDE
I am over 70 years old and I remember when Ludwig Freeman brought a lot of the styles and sound to Southern University in the 60s that everyone copied. After reading your critique, I was not surprised that you were from FAMU. Very seldom, you will read a negative critique by an SU Alumni. We don't criticize, we utilize!! OUR TALENTS, THAT IS. Every HBCU needs improvements, however; we love to put someone else down to lift ourselves up. Not too impressed with the few FAMU videos I watch. They look boofoonish. My opinion.
By the way, I love this song and I listen to it every night before I turn my computer off.
@@ctylfn5074 Please RE-READ what I wrote. I NEVER put them down. I simply gave an opinion about their sound and I am STILL, as stated, a "fan of the Jukebox". Reading is fundamental. Also, I have never attended FAMU, so I do not know what you mean by saying, I am "from FAMU". Furthermore, I am also a fan of the Marching 100, but that does not stop me from giving critiques of them; and very often, I might add. Your accusations about my intent as a fan of both of these bands are groundless and not based on what I wrote. Is your accusation of, "love to put someone else down to lift ourselves up" a personal testimony? ...sounds like it. I love HBCUs and the tradition of excellence displayed in their marching bands, but that does not mean that I cannot praise and critique them at the same time. Having a balanced perspective demonstrates intelligence ("My opinion"). #wellBalanced #wellSpoken #1867 #1906
Good. I got your undivided attention!
I have 23 years on you and have been listening to these bands since the 50s and 60s because I attended Southern University Laboratory School (Southern High) so, therefore; I was exposed to FAMU, Tenn State, JSU among others by attending games since childhood on SU's campus. I am glad you responded and I respect your opinion. Thanks for supporting HBCUs.
OK I'm back because I have to talk about Jada... PHENOMENAL 🔥🔥🔥LOOK AT HOW STRONG SHE DANCED TO THE POWER OF THE BAND 😍😭
That was incredibly outstanding musicianship.. right there.. now that's a AAAAA arrangement.. straight waxed p.v. GG
Oh my goodness... I was dancing to this, but they way Mr. Taylor closed the song... nice.
That arrangement. I remember when we used to have arrangements like that.

Yea boiy, thats ME!
Dayum..just dayum!! They played one of my favorite tunes from the 80s, time to step my writing game up; EXCELLENT JOB, SU!
One word..... TUBAS!!!! And some fools were talking about Southern wouldnt be able to handle all brass Sousas..... Between this song and "Liberation" I belive that is what you call pudding!
jonathan Davis fam what you smoking yeah it had that dark rich sound but they don’t have the same intensity on these horns they could be pushing a song like this is perfect to let those hoes sing
Wow!!!!
We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy!!!!! The System don’t disturb this groove!!!! Hands down one of my favorite songs of all time and the best arrangement of the night!!! I’ve listened to this like five times already!!!!!
It's one of my favorite, as well! Great arrangement! Go JAGS!!!!
