You do not have to do UMA frame buffer resizing if you don't have any good reason. Explanation: Your iGPU can already access upto half of your RAM as it's "VRAM". As soon as the preset "Dedicated Video Memory" exceed, your RAM will automatically be used to cover the excess. I have set Dedicated memory from 512MB to 64MB, and no visible benchmark difference was found. I had to do this to play Darksiders 3 properly, as the game auto loads Low Quality textures ignoring all configs if it detects just 512 MB VRAM; as soon as I either increas it to 2 GB or go below 128 or to 64MB, it auto loads normal textures and use it's required VRAM (auto use 2GB+ memory as VRAM, auto allocates upto half of RAM as VRAM). Thus I conclude that unless you have such specific usage cases, you don't have to adjust UMA Frame Buffer a.k.a, dedicated Video Memory.
@@ghost8417 if you leave the voltage on auto it fluctuates. 1.1V would be safe to lock it to, most say you can lock it to 1.2V. 1.1V should support 2200-2300mhz of the igpu. From my sample of two 5600G processors.

Sadly this can happen sometimes, Unfortunately our optimization guides aren't always be all and end all solutions, there are times where certain PC configurations just don't work as well with optimizations, but we do encourage you to go out and find you own optimizations and comment down below to help others like yourself!
Technically, yes. But as long as you find a resource that shows simple, reasonable, conservative overclock settings for your exact processor/RAM, you should be fine. Honestly, for RAM, simply enabling SMP will help a lot and for most people is probably enough. In my opinion, BIOS are not to be feared, but rather respected and appreciated for what they allow us to do. Use common sense and don't change a setting unless you understand what it will do.
why wouldn't you enable Precision Boost Overdrive? It's one of the most epic things you can enable and this will get you the best performance out of your CPU... sad that you didn't even say anything about it :/
MSI Afterburner is relatively safe to use, and if your settings glitch you out, it resets when you restart your computer, so no damage done or endless boot loops.
You can leave it on, it's compatibility support so provides support for older hardware. So if it doesn't work off, leave it on, it should only affect boot time
I changed my UMA setting to 4gb but it is still showing 512 mb in task manager ........Please suggest a solution (AMD 5600G, B550m gigabyte and 16 Ram)...
Hello Can this processor work with any GPU? For example, does the rx 580 4gb have more graphics performance compared to the situation when only integrated graphics would work? What settings would be required? Thanks for this video
I built my system with a 5600G instead of the 5600X so if I wanted to sell my computer down the road, I wouldn't have to worry about selling my GTX 1660 with it. Most Intel chips have had some sort of integrated graphics on them in the past, so this is nothing new. So yes, the AMD 5600G can work with any GPU that can use the PCIE slot. AGP graphics cards won't fit, if you have something that old. As for the performance, you would have to look at videos that compare GPU's against eachother. The Vega graphics in the 5600G are good, but maybe 1030ti good. Anything more powerful than that, like a 1660 or 3050 or AMD 6500 or 6600 would be your upgrade path.
Other notes: ofc enable XMP(DOCP) profile if you haven't.
You can also enable Precision Boost Overdrive (via BIOS or software) for a pretty hefty FPS increase (though note this is overclocking and may cause system instability) - e.g. I was getting 90fps in LoL and enabling PBO took me to 125. Back to default and I gained back ca 15fps.
I have updated B450 Tomahawk Max 2
Sadly this can happen sometimes, Unfortunately our optimization guides aren't always be all and end all solutions, there are times where certain PC configurations just don't work as well with optimizations, but we do encourage you to go out and find you own optimizations and comment down below to help others like yourself!
@@WePCBenchmarks I appreciate the fact that you actually talk about the problems instead of going away and ignoring the issue explained by a viewer.
just a curious question, what if I did something wrong, will it destroy my cpu?
Technically, yes. But as long as you find a resource that shows simple, reasonable, conservative overclock settings for your exact processor/RAM, you should be fine. Honestly, for RAM, simply enabling SMP will help a lot and for most people is probably enough. In my opinion, BIOS are not to be feared, but rather respected and appreciated for what they allow us to do. Use common sense and don't change a setting unless you understand what it will do.
If i have resize bar (on/off) i need to do the next steps?
When I put UMA Frame Buffer Size to 4G. My system doesnt boot up.to windows? I have a 16gb of RAM too. Thanks guys.
try lowering it/adding more ram
Bro please help😭me my screen gone tootaly black after I applied all the settings. How do I reset to normal please help me bro
why wouldn't you enable Precision Boost Overdrive? It's one of the most epic things you can enable and this will get you the best performance out of your CPU... sad that you didn't even say anything about it :/
CPU will never be the limiting factor on this APU.
I am new to building pcs and stuff, i am gonna build mine soon but with gigabyte motherboard is it gonna be the same thing ?
so... have u build ur pc yet?
What's the boost of Ryzen 5 5600g from 3.9 GHz to 4.4ghz and it's not overclocking right?
Hello I am planning on doing this for my 5600g with gigabyte a520m d3h motherboard. do you have any idea if it's safe and supported?
i recommend u the msi tomahawk max 2, the one that i have
MSI Afterburner is relatively safe to use, and if your settings glitch you out, it resets when you restart your computer, so no damage done or endless boot loops.
Did it already its working splendidly
isn't rebar only supported on gen.4 pcie?
why when you turn it on Resize bar PC runs in the BIOS
Can this modification be bad on my hardware or nah?
i have i problem with my software where it gets bugged every few days and i have to reinstall it everytime
Right after i did this my screen, my keyboard and my mouse won't turn on, i need help 🥺
What will happen if i leave csm tab because it wont boot up if its turned off
Im still on hdd
You can leave it on, it's compatibility support so provides support for older hardware. So if it doesn't work off, leave it on, it should only affect boot time
I changed my UMA setting to 4gb but it is still showing 512 mb in task manager ........Please suggest a solution (AMD 5600G, B550m gigabyte and 16 Ram)...
I guess you didn't save the settings.
My pc crashed and doesn’t work anymore I turned on the 4gb option and the thing below it
Pls help
just try to flash bios with a button behind your pc.
my mobo (not a cheap one) only lets 2gb as max for video ram out of 16gb ram
actually new bios has it all the way up to 16gb of vram, yeepeee, and i ordered more ram the other day... cant wait to see the diff
any difference in radeon driver versions?
Will This Work The Same For 5500U?
how do you get into that screen youre in?
For the bios when booting up your PC there should display a button briefly to enter it usually DEL or F12/F2 etc
@@WePCBenchmarks Oh, thanks:D
My sometimes automatically restarts when i use emulator. Can someone help
Hello
Can this processor work with any GPU?
