Hey Kat ! I am a fairly new beader who has been beading for the fun of it . I hit on your site for the " prevent stretch bracelet from breaking " . This video on color inspires me to reach out of my comfort zone and explore new combinations of colors. I never gave " fashion " a consideration !!! I will also go thru your " how to " videos , several caught my eye !!
A few months ago I would not have used this color since I prefer neutrals and muted colors. But I am moving out of my comfort zone and just bought some magenta beads. It was helpful seeing the colors Pantone suggests using with it. Can’t wait now to try it out.
I'm not much of a "pink" lover for myself, but my buyers like it - and the more vibrant, the better. I think I'm going to rewrite some of my titles, tags and keywords to those pieces I made already have in this color - that was a great idea! What I also like - is your suggestion to be dressing or buying a viva magenta top for my mannequin - that really rocked!
I always find it offputting and little unprofessional to hear 'designers' complain about colors they don't like or express inability to work with them. It feels like part of the job to understand color theory, the meaning of color, the emotions each color represents (or can represent - we basically create the story) and objectively be able to put a piece together based on that knowledge. I don't think that's too much to expect when you are making art for the consumer.

Interesting color, to say the least! I haven’t seen much of it in clothing but I definitely like it in jewelry! Thanks, Kat.
I think we will see it come into clothing towards the back half of the year. Have you tried to use it in your designs yet?

The magenta-verse colors are really interesting to see too. it shows how we can use color to support our own designs.

Awesome! And don't forget to use the Magenta-Verse to help support your designs too!
I love that color. I have 2 bead kits from JJB that have beads that color that I've had for a while that I need to start making things with.
Perfect! Here is your sign to use them; and tag me on IG, I'd love to see what you create.
