THANK YOU FOR RESTORING 30TH STREET TO IT GLORY DAYS!! The station holds a special place in my heart and for my family. My great grandfather (last name sutor) worked for the PRR in its heyday. I am probably going to state his title wrong, but here goes: Head of Platform (or maybe station) operations. My grandmother was (Sutor-Riley) became his secretary at age 15 or 16 and her 2 younger sisters sold tickets. As a kid I would hear stories about the PRR and 30th street, how grand and beautiful it was. I would imagine it, because all I would see is the outside, until recently. To me, even though it is still underway, it is like seeing what they saw and feeling what they felt everytime they walked through the doors, not just the power of the railroad, at that time, but the power of the American Spirit. What can be accomplished with hard work and perseverance. That is what 30th street represents, as well as Amtrak. Oh! Don't miss how very UNIQUELY American Amtrak is, our one nation is formed from many people who come from many places, Amtrak is a reflection of that, a passenger rail company formed from many rail companies all over the US, to over come critics and continue the fight to get better and better. I think Amtrak's best days are ahead.
Thank you for restoring 30th Street, I have been waiting for years for this to happen. Let's hope you guys can work to restore the entire NEC. For instance working on improving the speed for increase travel time. Let's hope you can work with the other commuter railroads that operate on the NEC to upgrade it to the high-speed lines that China, Japan, UK, Germany, and France have. Good luck to you guys!
Hope the same thing happens with New York's Penn Station too by completely rebuilding it. I mean REBUILDING the original 1910 structure to the way it was to resolve all the current issues at Penn.
very nice and looks great. I went thru Philly with parents years ago on PRR, but we did not get off, just a stop on way to NYC. have never been there with Amtrak. I have been seeing the changes at CUS which I have used a number of times. Thank you Amtrak.
Think about how the Great Depression basically killed the city of Philadelphia from growing around the station. Only now is a platform rising over the tracks and buildings going up. My point is that cities need to build like crazy when times are good. Otherwise the decades will pass and more buildings will fall for parking lots. Cities like Philly are lucky to have a pretty good rail system for commuters and city residents. Without trains cities will never grow to their full potential.
This is a church and was talked about in Revelations. I went there last night. It is exactly what is described in Revelations. The angel was a key feature. The spirit is the what told me. I seen it with my own eyes. The ones who claim to be Jews "Ukraine isn't Judah yo". Jesus IS Coming Soon. Sin is being fed to all being tested as I am. I am failing just like everyone. The holy spirit has shown me this for a reason but I do not know the day or hour that babylon falls. Could be tomorrow?
here from the future to comment on just how beautiful the restoration has been and how awesome the station looks
Thank you for preserving and improving history, art and the culture that is this space.

Hopefully one day, I will be a part of Amtrak🚄
Does anyone know when the Regional Rail part of the station was built because it was built first.
Great question
AJ, my dearest friend. Missed you....
How about bringing back the Solari board/the flip board to the main concourse or is that asking too much??
