Took the calculus clep at age 53 and passed . Now I am going after the composition clep …. With fear and dread in my heart.
Have courage!❤
Oh, man! The CC CLEP is way easier than the Calc one!
I just wanted to say, thank you so so so much for informing me and others about CLEP exams. You saved me well over 9k in classes and I will be able to graduate in the spring now and begin working. The information you provide here is so valuable and I am telling all my friends that are also in college of this resource and your channel. Please keep doing what you’re doing, and thank you again. Sincerely, a single father raising his daughter on his own while getting his undergrad degree ❤
You are our hero!! 🤩 And we are honored to have served such a worthwhile purpose in your life ☺️
Took the Spanish CLEP exam and boy was it difficult! I am strongly fluent in Spanish , speak it, write it, read it all day, however that listening portion was a nightmare. As a Spanish speaker I personally would say it probably is not going to be an easy exam for someone learning Spanish. Yes, I got nearly a perfect score, but it really did make me question for a second what was happening! 😊
It depends if you speak majority Latin Spanish versus Spaniard Spanish. Both of them are different.
@@nyo2828 - I've taken the test. I don't remember any vosotros or vos in the test. At least the version I took was Latin American. But if you've studied (or speak) Spain Castellano, that shouldn't make much difference.
I found the test easy. However, the story portions of the test are long; therefore, I was recommended to take notes during the exam. I am glad I did. It does not matter if Spanish is your first language. If you do not take notes during the stories, you will struggle. Once you go to the answer portion, you cannot go back to refresh your memory.
I am not a spanish speaker and got 100%. I didn't find hard at all
Hey man I’m in the Army and I’m HURTING for promotion points. We get points for CLEP and I’m wanting to get started. I’m gonna go for all 9 courses! Wish me luck! Great video! I’m about to watch your study vids
Excellent! I hope they help! 😄
Thank you for the resources! I am taking the Spanish CLEP in a couple of days and this really helped.
So glad!! 🥳 You’re going to crush it 😎
I am fluent in Spanish and found the Spanish Clep rather difficult. I am a visual person and the audio portion was very challenging. Not only that but, the timing on the exam wasn't enough for me. Still waiting on my results. So, we shall see.
Good luck!
so how did ya do
How did it go?
You must have taken the Spanish with writing test -- because the regular Spanish CLEP is instantly graded.
My friend said you don’t know Spanish
I passed US History I by watching YoeTube videos on it the day of the test. That’s it lol I think it was Jocz videos or something like that
Haha, NICE!
You’re amazing, thank you so much for this.
You're so welcome!
Bro, I love your pop song professor channel, and you really know how to write a good intro hook!
Thanks, man! I try my best!
Loving your videos and advices. Thanks .
You're very welcome!
Definitely gonna take the marketing literature and sociology test I’ve ran a marketing agency for myself for the past five years I know a thing or two about those
Nice! Do it! Let me know how it goes.
@@CollegeHacked Definitely! Im returning to school full time in a few weeks. while I’m still in my early 20s and not be the old one out lol. Doesn’t hurt to get the extra credits.
@@Mbabbb399 Tell me how it goes! clifford@collegehacked.com
okay so im REALLY bad at Math and the College Math test is what im most nervous about. its creating a mental block for me and i need to pass it for gen ed. id love to be able to pass precalc to expedite the buisness degree track but ahhhh >.< i wish your consults were available on Tuesdays since thats my standard day off 😪
I might be able to make something work. Send me an email at clifford@collegehacked.com.
I just too the Western Civilization II…. Out of all 90 questions on my study guide, only 3 were on the test. Was getting 68-75 on my practice test exams with those questions! Got a 30 on the test! So defeating.
Oh no! Did you use ModernStates.com? If not, try that :)
@@CollegeHacked thanks! I plan on using moderstates for the Human Growth and Development, I’m taking that instead of retaking the western.
officially have ptsd from 2 weeks of studying and not seeing any of the material on there. I had no clue there was sites with over 200 questions instead of their study guides on CLEP! Thank u
As a general FYI for those who want to take College Mathematics- College Board changed the semester hours awarded for passing from 6 to 3 credit hours earlier this year.
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the video! I've been seeing from multiple sources that the Spanish CLEP exam are among one of the easiest to pass. I just started studying for it using Modern States and I feel it's kind of challenging. I don't have much background in studying Spanish, none in high school or my time in college. But I did mess around with Duolingo for a bit. Me not having a strong background in the Spanish language, do you have any advice as I work towards the Spanish CLEP exam?
Interesting! We tend to hear that Spanish is a tough CLEP. If you don’t have any background in Spanish I think Spanish I on Sophia would be a much better use of your time :)
Thank you for the insight. Are there any restrictions on the exam dates? For example could I register for a course tomorrow and schedule an exam next week?
With Modern States?
@@CollegeHacked So I can buy an exam today and register to take a remote proctored exam next week? (Ohio)
@@cameronowen7653 Oh with CLEP in general? I'm a little confused by the question. You'll have to check out clep.collegeboard.org to get a full timeline, but, yes, the turnaround time should be very quick.
@@CollegeHacked I was just asking if I get to pick the date and time I take the actual exam
@@cameronowen7653 Yep!
I took the Spanish clep and it was one of the hardest exams I've ever taken. Granted I only took four years of spanish in highschool so it's not like I was fluent or anything. I needed a 56 to pass and got a 56 exactly 😅 0/10 test would not recommend for beginners
What portion was most difficult for you/ what do you wish you studied more?
@@Gailsla10 The most difficult portion for me was the listening section. The longer passages were especially bad because they talked for a long time. Honestly the Spanish wasn’t the hard part, but rather the timing for the questions and information retention. The questions weren’t tricky to answer but that was only if you could remember what was said. I would practice taking good notes during the listening section (the audio only plays once) and working on endurance. It’s very easy to miss information. Good luck!
@@stressedduck thanks so much! I'll practice listening to things and taking faster notes.
I took spanish and got 12 credits! A full semester of credits almost lol. Now I am going to take the sociology test
The Spanish CLEP for 12 credits is such an underrated exam, especially for bilingual students!
@@CollegeHacked yep super helpful
Hello! Thank you for your top 5 easiest clep but I do have a question. Which is easier College Algebra, College Math or Quantitative Business Analysis? I'm really not good with Algebra and would hate to waste money starting with basic Algebra and/or Introduction to Algebra. What would you take if your major is Accounting?
If your major is accounting, honestly, you need to be ready to do all three of those, but I think College Math is the easiest.
I'm an accountant and received a Bachelor's in Accounting. To be an accountant, you should like math, but you don't need to be a math wiz. Today, accountants use programs, calculators, and our trusted Excel to do a lot of calculations. Also, I was not required to take college math; I am not sure why. I did take AP Calc in HS, but I did not even pass the exam to get college credit. Review your degree plan to make sure you are taking the required classes and not spending money unnecessarily. Also, speak to your academic counselor if you need further guidance. Try your best to pass Algebra either by CLEP or in class, but don't sweat it. You will be fine. :)
I work finances, college algebra is overkill. Some stuff like profit growth, decay, etc can be useful but it’s literally like one chapter worth of useful information and 15 chapters of stuff you will NEVER use. Focus more on problem solving and excel formulas, and you’ll be ok.
I passed introductory sociology and principles of marketing. Now I’m considering Spanish language. But I have never learned Spanish in my life and English is my second language (International student). Would it be possible for me to pass Spanish language in a short time, assuming that I only study it all day long?
I took Spanish all 4 years in high school and have been working construction for the past 11 years (with many Spanish speaking coworkers) and I barely passed the exam.. my advice would be to actually try to learn Spanish (or one of the other languages available) for the joy/skill of being able to communicate. Trying to study just to pass would likely be a failure in my opinion. Good luck either way!
Yes :)
Me: *taking Chem clep*
Me, 5 seconds into the video: F*&%
was screwed over by my school took cis for high school but didn't get my college credit so now I have to do it in summer I'm a sophomore and I only have one college credit
I'm planning on doing dual enrollment next year for pec pre calc and wrt 101 I but have to do a test before this is for Pima community college I am also doing Coursera for it support but I don't know if they would transfer these credits do you think I'm doing well in my high school path I want to be a mining engineer. So where do I take the clep we’re I’m from Arizona
You’ll want to look up mining engineer jobs to see what kind of educational and practical qualifications they’re looking for. Then try to find some professionals who have done that job a long time on LinkedIn and ask to talk with them. Once you’re sure about the major you need you can evaluate schools that offer that major and pick the most hackable one :) The CLEP website will list approved testing centers for you.
Hey man thanks for the video. I was wondering if College Composition (the one with the essay) fulfills the writing intensive credit or the English composition credit.
Depends on the school, but I always recommend taking the one with the essay. Way fewer people accept the other one.
@@CollegeHacked what are the differences between the essay composition test/and the non essay composition test ?
@@falcon11700 The presence of the essay and whether it will be accepted. Few colleges like the one without an essay but some will still give some kind of credit for it.
what’s your thoughts on the CLEP biology? I wanna do AP bio but i’m honestly not that confident on doing the AP exam for biology, so i’m thinking of the CLEP bio instead
They are written by the same company and cover extremely similar content! You could give the AP test a try and then CLEP if you don’t pass :)
Well, if you were good in High School, you’ll pass those tests easily!
For most of them I very much agree!
@@CollegeHacked We both agree that it’s still recommended to revise and study to make sure to master the subjects. Most of those are useful.
Im joining the military and they offer pay bonuses to those who start with college credits. Can I CLEP without being enrolled in a college and still get credits to xfer to Air Force?
Yes, you can CLEP without being associated with a college :)
If I am currently enrolled at a community college how do I go about getting my bachelors with CLEP classes?
Thanks!
Haha, that is a big and complicated question. I'd be happy to do a session with you over at www.collegehacked.com. :)
You would need to see if clep exams are accepted at the school you attend. The school should have info on this and the clep site should as well.
Does anyone know if clep credit will keep high school students from receiving scholarships for first year freshman?
It can! Great question! If you transfer in with too much credit, you might not be eligible for freshman and sophomore scholarships. But it depends on your school. :) Happy to consult further if you want to set up a meeting using the link in my description.
Question. If I already took and passed the AP Literature exam along with other AP exams, there’s no way I would take Clep exams that are similar to these ones and use that as credit right? I’m assuming the Clep exams that you take and want to use for credit hours, you can’t have already used the same course credit from taking and passed an AP exam. Thanks a ton, nice video!
It really depends on the school you're going to. They might accept the AP credit as something different than CLEP. But they also might not. Will vary by school. Happy to help you figure this out in a consultation: collegehacked.com.
how was the english/british literature clep for anyone that took it?
What do people think about Western Civilization I and US History I? Any tips or suggestions, also? Thanks!
US History I was okay. Just need to study the whole time for 2-3 days. I went on the Subreddit for Clep and there were a lot of good advice and study guides that were free. I think u might find good sources of Western Civilization as well. 😊
What helped me for USH I was the Quizlets, Jocz production videos on APUSH from chapter 1-23. I also reviewed the free clep prep study guide (should be linked in a Reddit post). I also did many practice tests from Modern States, official 2015-2016 college board clep prep (free), and free clep prep tests.
I just finished doing intro to psych exam got a 42 failure first thing i see ☠️ is that its on the easy list
Give it another shot! 😉
Hi any resources for college comp Modular? Modern states only has college comp? Hmmnn 🤔I’m going back to school to finish BA! I’m in my 40’s so been a while. ❤
I would just do the full one. Modular is accepted fewer places. But this video should do the trick either way: ua-cam.com/video/N0m8vkhSZYo/v-deo.html
Oh, and the Modern States course will also contain everything you need for Modular too.
That is because if you are a native spanish speaker it is super easy.
Whats the difference between college mathematics and college algebra?
Are you asking about content differences or how those two classes apply to a specific school?
Please I need pointers and help. If my major is Health Science or Business management
Sign up for a consult (www.collegehacked.com), and we'll get you set to go!
Is the clep test similar to the study guide if so how so?
Yeah, the study guides are based on the CLEP. :)
I am an International student, missing 3 hours for general, can I take cLPE exam
Depends on a lot of things, but it's possible, yes!
Hey did you take the clep exam
This video is very misleading about the Spanish CLEP.
Spanish CLEP's pass rate is _HEAVILY_ skewed by the fact that so many people who take it speak Spanish as their first language. If you have a couple years of crappy Spanish instruction in high school, and that's it, it's not particularly easy -- especially if you're trying to get a 63 and test out of 2 years worth. Getting a 63 for non-native speakers without considerable exposure to Spanish is _NOT EASY._
Now, why it is that native Spanish speakers are allowed to get **foreign** language credit for taking a Spanish test, I can not say. Native English speakers sure can't take an English test for foreign language credit.
Interesting! We’ve heard it both ways, some clients have said it wasn’t bad and some have said it was harder than expected. But most end up just doing Spanish on Sophia rather than CLEPing it. On that last part we laughingly agree 😂
@@CollegeHacked - I will say that passing it (for 1 or 2 years credit) isn't as hard as it seems _during_ the test. _while_ taking it -- a lot of non-native Spanish speakers will be a bit shocked that you're quickly hit with subjunctive mood grammar and other sorts of relatively advanced constructions. It's apparently pretty common for people to feel like they absolutely bombed the test, only to find at the end that they got a 50+ score -- and the reason why is that they do some sort of curving on the raw score.
@cacogenicist This is great insight! It could very well be the curve 😊
@@CollegeHacked I am fluent in Spanish, and the test is not difficult. However, one thing that could make the test feel harder is the audio portion. If one does not take notes, once you get to the Q&A part, it is hard to remember details of the story. For someone who is limited in Spanish, it could be devastating. Someone advised me to do it, and I did. I am glad I did. Maybe you can elaborate on note-taking for the Spanish Clep.
@@rubendejesus9749 Fantastic feedback! We shall :)
Hey everyone Jesus loves you and you are not alone
Wait wtf is this pop song professor?
😄👋🏼
@@CollegeHacked That's awesome lol
Spanish is not one of the easiest cleps! You cannot make a video just based on stats. Have YOU taken the Spanish exam?
We are pro-stats 😝 Though happy to hear about your experience if you want to share. Among clients, we’ve heard mixed reviews. Some say easy, some say hard.
Appreciate the reply! Thank you for making the videos!
Used SpeedyPrep and the Official Study guide. Passed Information Systems with a 64
NICE!
