I have no idea exactly how many of these are in use at that moment, but I am sure that there are a lot of them out there, and I have never heard of anything going wrong with any gun having one installed. Pretty sure that if it had become a problem they would stop selling them. Just saying......
I'm not shure if I would put the extra strain on the threads of that bottle . Not that it can't handle it , I just do not want to be the one to set it down roughly and break the threads off a air tank at 250 bar . Or pay for repairs .lol I will drill holes in the stock and be happy .😎
Official accessory so I will do as they suggest although I agree with you and don't personally like the principle that much. To be fair, where else can you put one as the laminate stock is very short so you get little linear stability
I was going to install this until I tought about my rifle falling down while hunting on the field. It Can cause an accidental turn of the tank. Not nice to install but I will go for the stock drilling option. Is like installing roof accesories to a lamborghini but would be safer.
Another probable reason rifle makers don’t include picatinny rails on laminated stocks is because of probability of having stock’s wood broken in half if an strong impact is done to the attached bipod. Many of the top Daystate and All the laminated FX stocks are not having the rail.
Sorry to hear yours failed. polymer 3d printing is a bit of a false profit at the low end, very little mechanical strength from the material itself as the molecular structure is so short. So many think making a 'shape' is enough and it's doomed manufacture

I have an fx and was told by one of the guys at sgc to not mount anything on the bottle because of the risk of the bottle breaking off.
Under 2000-4500 psi of pressure....TRUST me, that bottle is not breaking off, unless you are intentionally trying to.

I saved a bit of money and bought a cheap 3d printed job... lasted about 10 sessions and now in the bin
