Remember the other titans outside the walls never had to be on the defensive from people. Porco couldn’t comprehend a scenario where he’s getting attack by humans.

season 4 is one of mappa's greatest accomplishment, because they managed to make it so different and yet the same as far as the soul of the story is concerned.
also one of the most underrated bits is the soundtrack from Kohta Yamamoto. Amazing original compositions blended in perfectly with the work of Hiroyuki Sawano. The whole production while being handled by a different studio managed to pull off such a tough task, especially since the preceding season was the retaking shiganshina arc. To make everything different but the same, and they succeeded. Even the artstyle suits this new story more, even though I prefer Studio Wit's artstyle. But now imagining anything else feels wrong.
As a fan, you usually get behind some characters and support them to enhance your experience with the story. I was 100% supporting the Paradis by the end of season 3 but after watching this, I also had this phase of confusion about getting behind anyone completely. The storytelling is amazing, but you can't get the itch and hype that you normally get from supporting a certain group of characters. I guess that is a necessary sacrifice for such a story wrapped in realistic concepts.

an important detail to remember is the fact that between Pieck and Galliard, Pieck's the only one's who fought against "the devil's of paradis" thereby knowing what they're capable of; it's why she was more scared than Galliard when she first heard their ODM gear. as for Galliard, he was absolutely shocked that he suddenly couldn't bite down after Ackerman cut his jaw cause Galliard's never experienced such a threat before. he had heard about Ackerman and the devils as a whole through intel but not seeing them for himself. so when all of the sudden he's sees regular people coming after him he is shocked because just regular people are weak compared to titans; it's then when realizes they're not just regular people, but the devils of paradis.

There are like 50+ examples of improper translation in AoT alone that I could provide where this is the case. Dub, on the other hand, isn't direct translation. Instead, it's rewritten in English. This isn't up for debate; it's just how the language works, and I say that as a Japanese man, fluent in both. In other words, the maid must have been a secret child born from public eyes, grew up with all the knowledge that she is the blood relative, yet acts as a maid around her blood brothers and sisters, all so that she could reveal herself as the Warhammer Titan once the enemy bit the bait and killed the most likely candidate, Tybur. The multiple layers of deception and sacrifice here is crazy.
What you mean they don't hate eldians? You do know that they are the one controlling Marley right? They know what Marley is doing to eldians and how they use them in wars. They also know that the king of the walls isn't gonna fight but they still wanted to kill everyone on the island for its resources

It's similar to how Zeke hates his own race, but the point of differentiation is Zeke does not hate to the point of not identifying himself as an Eldian. Going back to Tybur, he directs his hate for Eldians towards the people of the island for political gain, since he wants Marley to obtain the Founder's power and make use of the Rumbling if needed against Marley's rival nations (since military technology to effectively kill titans and that can potentially destroy Marley is catching up). Tybur shares a similar belief of guilt for the crimes of what the Eldian empire did to Marley and the world in the past, but he is not a pacifist like the late King Fritz who fled to the walls in Paradis. He decides to use propaganda to rally all the other nations against the Eldians in Paradis island.

I can't get over the fact that all the scouts have the new ODM gear with the guns combined with the thunder spears to deal with Marleys military easily and from a distance, but Levi is the only one just chilling in the OG gear, SPECIFICALLY to deal with any of the 9 titans they might run into.
I personally think that the shot of Magath at Eren was a way to tell his subordinates to not hesitate in firing at Eren. Also to validate their actions as it was their superior who did it first.

In my opinion, it was more like the signal to counterattack, that he now leads. Well, he didn't know it was staged from both sides and that the eldian army had their trumpcard at the harbour.
The build up of the events happening must really be super mind blowing atm, we all had months to process each season and really think about everything that connects to what's happening. I can't get over the fact that all the scouts have the new ODM gear with the guns combined with the thunder spears to deal with Marleys military easily and from a distance, but Levi is the only one just chilling in the OG gear, SPECIFICALLY to deal with any of the 9 titans they might run into.
I personally think that the shot of Magath at Eren was a way to tell his subordinates to not hesitate in firing at Eren. Also to validate their actions as it was their superior who did it first.

The build up of the events happening must really be super mind blowing atm, we all had months to process each season and really think about everything that connects to what's happening. I'd even suggest you guys rewatch past seasons as there are stuff that happened waaaaay back that get answered or hinted as to why things are atm. But then again your reaction and confusion is what makes it fun to watch xD Miss the in-depth discussions tho, but That should come back pretty soon I believe xD
