You raised a good point because last year I talked to one of the high official IBJJF referee during a Rules Seminar and I was questioning him about Worm Guard as I think might hurt someone s knee just as would do a "knee reaping" motion. Well he said it was a debate within the circle of the referees but as for now worm guard "grip" was not reaping! So it is legit and legal! 👍🏼
This is the traditional worm guard where the lapel is passed under your right foot and behind your opponent's right knee. I think Keenan would caption his own video correctly. :)
