Add 1/3 cup of Masa (corn flour) to Bear Creek’s Darn Good Chili to give it a more Mexican flavor. Mix the Masa with water before stirring in. It’s delicious.
I can’t wait to try that! Thanks!
@@muddyshoesgardeneryou’re welcome. It takes it to a whole new level.
Good idea. I follow the recipe on the back that has you adding corn and I think tomato paste or maybe diced tomatoes, and it is really good.
Vegetable soup is very good. We usually add ground beef. Thanks Granny ❤
Just made the Bear Creek cheddar potato soup.
I added:
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 can whole corn
1 can diced potato
1 can chicken
1 packet of taco seasoning
Sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice on top.
Yummy!
I have that put back with canned potatoes, extra mixed veggies and a large can of keystone beef. Packing in calories and nutrients.
My favorite soup mixes. I add a pint of venison and canned potatoes. Yum!
I remember "Soup Starter" as a kid...I still appreciate anything that works the same way! 😉👍
Yes! I remember that, too!
Also, stew starter
I really appreciate that you show us the ingredients and the finished product. Thank you!
Looks good, today we made a big pot of turkey soup. Thanks, AG!
Would make a good soup base, but definately plan on adding items like meat/beans to this because the recipe is only 110 calories. That would keep me happy for about 1 hour, then I'd have my head in the refrigerator. I need soup to be about 350 calories and then I often still add to it.
My husband says the same thing about soup. I always have to add ingredients to make it hearty. Dehydrated meals are usually lacking in fats I always add some and it helps it to be more satisfying.
😊 Personally, I'm a keto/carnivore lifestyle person. Those soups are way too starchy/carby for me. But I keep plenty of each variety on hand. Folks who aren't carb-minded are glad when I gift them with "soup kits" consisting of a Bear Creek soup, some appropriate canned meats, and even other ingredients that will beef up the flavor. That plus a "just add water" pouch of biscuit or cornbread mix, and there is an easy "emergency meal for someone. 😄. Just an hour ago someone texted a thank you to me. They recently cooked up a chicken soup kit which was handy as they were sick with a cold!
And, of course, if I need to, I'm quite willing to eat the carbs/starches if that's all there is to eat. In today's climate, who knows what the future holds. Thanks, Alaska Granny! I enjoy your posts.
Love the vegetable beef. I also add a can of roast beef when I make it. You could also add a pound of cooked ground beef for "hamburger soup"
Bear creek comes in single serving size also
I keep Bear Creek soup on hand all the time.
I have found Amazon prices for these soup mixes to be much less expensive than my local store
Very inviting, easy to make.
Great tip, by adding the beef.
Thanks for sharing.
🙏👍🍁🍽🍂✨
If you vacuum seal the dry soup mix in the jars and store it in a dark controlled environment, it will easily last a decade.
AG: This is another great recipe where you can customize it many ways. By adding a can of beef I can cook once and eat several times. These recipes are great for saving propane, wood, or electricity. 👍👍👍👍
My grandma wouldn't let me call her grandma in public. I always used her first name Zora. She was a twin she had a sister named Zona. Her dad was very Religious and give them Yiddish names. Thanks for the video.
Love bear creek!!! Happy Saturday, AG
If you add a can of Keystone Beef, it’s delicious.
AG Amazon has the bear creek minestrone soup buy one get one free!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving my friend!🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Bear Creek makes good food! Might need to crack open the seasings a lil bit. Thats about it. Can always throw in a can of chicken too!
I've never had them Just ordered from Amazon!
Looks really good AG. Thank you. I will check these out 😊
I love Bear Creek soups.
We're trying to have a mixture of food prepped. Some long term storage feeeze dried, some soups and veggies in cans, a lot of rice, a lot of different dried beans, pasta in jars, and many spices, too. What have I missed?
One more thought. If an emp or the like happens, things we have stored on our phones are still able to be used. I have 2 old phones with a lot of prepping g and survival articles stored, with pdf files on all kinds of things. Don't throw your old phones away. Use them.
Your phones will be deader than a doornail.
@@zippy2641 Not in my small far-away cage. I can use the saved info on them. PDF files, etc.
@@miamivice1149 Yes, that (may) work. You didn't mention that. It's called a "faraday" cage/bag.
@@zippy2641 auto spell got me. I didn't catch it
I would add a little less that 1/4c rice to thicken it up a little more!!
Thanks for the reminder of this tasty brand.
Thanks the aldi are also great
All of their soups are great. I like the broccoli and cheese the best.
Hi Alaska Granny 👋🏻
I love these soups!!!
Looks yummy 😋
Why did I not think of repackaging Bear Creek Soups. A whole package is too much for my household but I can repackage one package into smaller portions. Thanks, Alaska Granny.
Ive yet to buy some i def got to get some soon.
I HAVE USED THEM FOR YRS...THEY ARE GOOD...AND MAKE ALOT!!+😊😊😮
Nana bean soup is my favorite. I add extra dehydrated beans from Mother Nature yummy. Oh try using a tablespoon of better the bouillon
Hello Alaska granny 🎄
😊🐾🐾🐾🐾
❤
😊
Going to try this bc I have canned beef too (that no one likes) maybe this will help.
😷💚
Do you store Bear Creek mixes in the original package? I have a 5 gallon bucket full of Bear Creek mixes still in original packaging. Is this a good way to store? Should oxy. absorber be used?
Thank you and we like your videos very much.
