Thank you. After I show the quilt at Sew Fun I am putting a picture of it on my face book page and my Sew Fun presentation will be on Rocky Mountain Sewing’s you tube. I am very pleased to hear you watch all the way from the UK.

Great video. thanks! Did you stabilize your quilt sandwich with adhesive?

No. When I am quilting in the hoop on a small quilt the batting pretty much holds it together by itself.

Was that a jungle book panel you used or machine embroidery?

Thanks Rosemary, very helpful video and will give it a try. I use a DIME magnetic hoop with my Stellaire, great but its only a 6 x 10 inch so quite small compared to the 9 x 14 but was thinking could use a washaway stabiliser with the large hoop and and float the quilt?? Also have you ever tried sashiko? I often make recycled denim bags and wanted to put various sashiko type designs on them but am not having much luck 🧐. Any thoughts? Jackie

I have heard so much about Sashiko but haven’t tried it. Are you useing pre digitized designs or a sashiko machine? I did use the regular hoop for some of that quilt. It is not too thick or heavy so it did not pop out of the hoop.

@@enchantingrosemary8776 No dont have a sashiko machine, too expensive! I watched a video of someone doing it on their Janome sewing machine which was good but wanted to embroider it on the stellaire. Tried using Design Centre app but made a bit of a mess of it to be honest! New to using Stellaire but feel sure it could be done. Wont be like a true sashiko but close enough I think. Will keep trying. 😁 Loved your quilt by the way. J

@@Jackie-zq2xs Do you have the XJ1 or the XE1? I will play around with some of the stitches and see what I come up with.

@@enchantingrosemary8776 thank you so much, I have the XE1. I took a picture from a book of the sashiko design but couldnt make it do the stitches in the way they should be. So kind of you to try thank you. 🤞🏻

hello, i just buy a brother embroidery machine and i want to ask u something, i create a pes file with my software and when i start my design goes very well until the outline (black line around my design) in the end comes and ruined it, because the line goes far away from my design... i can send to u my design.pes file and if u can tell me what did i do wrong... sorry for my english, thanks a lot , i watch your videos and i learned from u so many things.

If your design is not lining up with the outline you either need to add more under sewing or stabilize more. An iron on stabilizer is best, or a sticky one for t-shirts as well as a cut away iron on. Most of the time when an outline is away from the design it is pulling in while sewing. If you are sure of your stabilizer and the under sewing then go into your sewing attributes and adjust the pull compensation.

The camera is too close and makes the screen blurry so your audience can’t actually see well as to what you’re doing.😢

I am sorry. The screen reflects a lot and it is hard to find the right spot without being to far back.
