It just blows my mind how small this game’s community is? It feels like one of those games that would of been labelled as a relic of gaming by people on the internet like celeste undertale or hallow knight
It makes me question everything when I remember how small the community is
It seems the Hollow Knight community is pretty fond of this game. That's good.
People just quit this game because they find it unfair. In a certain sense, it is. But even the unfairness can be broken with intelligence and an understanding of Slugcat's different movement abilities. Either you are at a disadvantage, or you can immediately put the enemy at a disadvantage.
It will have it's minute of fame.
We live in such a world where immediate profits and appeal to general auditory are much more important than artistic value. However, many creations were not noticed until years and years later after their creation.
Games of such level of immersion are sparse and few nowadays
@@mrfizzy3592 it is unfair at times, but so is nature and survival. I think a lot of people always think unfair = bad.
Init
Pictures of the Past fits so well with the feeling of loss. Probably the best and most fitting cutscene music I've heard.
the irony is thats literally the music used in the cutscene showing our wee slugcat losin his family
@@All_Photography1 thats not what irony means...

I didn't include threat music because it would be the whole list
no bioengineering):
The music of this game is wonderfully done, it fits perfectly and you dont get tired of it no matter how many times you listen.
I get a almost claustrophobic feeling thinking about how people in the future will never know about this game.
I agree the music is very good
rain world has the best soundtrack out of any video game ever
One thing I love about rain worlds’s music, is that so many of the songs use repeating smooth arps which tie them all stylistically together.
I just got into this game and poured through all the lore on UA-cam. Got it and made it through Industrial and already it's one of the best experiences I've had in gaming. I can't wait for Downpour to come out on console!
All threat tracks timestamps:
11:20 Threat Outskirts
20:21 Threat - Heavy Industrial
29:47 Threat - Garbage Wastes
47:58 Threat
1:5:32 Threat - Chimney Canopy
1:15:03 Threat - Sky Islands
1:23:00 Threat - Farm Arrays
They're all such bangers!
Also
35:28 Threat - Shoreline
47:58 is the Superstructure threat theme

I just got this game, and although I'm still stuck, I keep coming back. One of these times I'll push through, and then I'll get to keep going for a bit to get stuck again. Rinse repeat. I suspect the second playthrough will be very satisfying.
Did you finish it?
@@kaklingdelinquent I restarted, then realized that I can go a different route than the drainage system. So we're back in business XD
march on, my sluggy brethren. for not storm nor death can halt the mighty scug.
This game speaks to me on a whole new level. Planing to finish all of the characters. In progress right now!
good luck!! spearmaster and saint are really tricky so I wish you good fortune on your noble quest o7
@@wiltedcordypetals Thank you so much! I will try my best! o7
I'm having tons of fun so far and I'm still playing my first game as Survivor trying to get through Memory Crypt, good luck with your own quest!
@jetex1911 the route you've chosen is a difficult one, but I've got faith in you as well!! you've got this 👍
@@wiltedcordypetals I did it! I beat the game! Im so happy. Thank you for the kind comments it made me happy and gave me confidence to continue.
Urban Jungle is an ambient lover's dream track.
Rain world has the best video game ost
iterator name generator:
73 to the bed
I’ve said many video games have the best ost, from doom eternal to deep rock galactic, but coming across rain world; It *Definitely* has the best video game ost.
@@Lush_Produce sus to the bottom
I listen to the soundtrack constantly, everytime echo music comes on, i get such chills, it's just so... my god....
17:55 is my jam I love industrial part
really excited about the new DLC!!!
Me gurgling water after playing rain world 35:47
What a great Album / Soundtrack! Needs more exposure!
29:47 goofy ahh fight music
Sneaky indian ambush songpiece
Damn, sold out. Set a notification if there's a reprint availiable. I love this OST.
I love Floes. The "wohoo" sound in it I imagine is moon :)
It fits perfectly, too, Black Moonlight is what plays when you first enter, covering the true feel of the region, especially the areas with- what I would assume sunlight or moonlight. On the other hand,
Floes is your introduction to Shoreline.
It is more cheery, like shoreline is - as in, not pitch black with a spider about to kill you. Then it transitions to Shoreline's themes. I always look forward to these songs in Shaded Citadel!
I also want to note that Underhang (47:28) is also a great song! But to be fair all of these are. Also superstructure's threat.
This music accompanies drawing jaguars very well
5:04 this is more like a ambience
Deep Light always makes me sob, thinking about a certain red Slugcat mother
1:11:22 is my jam 🎶💞
55:03
I will never be able to hear "Kayawa" again without expecting to hear a cacophany of robot voices saying "WE CRAVE DEATH. LET'S JUMP INTO THE VOID."
The best ost my Life
the beggining to 47:58 reminds me of hotline miami
truee just finished the first and seconds game and it really reminds me of an intro to the level
indeed
im not sure what is cooler, the beauty of transcending and emotional boatride into the voidsea or the absolutely gorgeous views and ambiences of an iterator superstructure
the background looks like 订阅, wich in chinese is subscribe. smart
Believe it or not
.
God i love the shoreline threat(s)
Всем привет товарищи слизнекоты😻👍
Здравствуй друг!
@@justablahajlover я прохожу эту игру а ты проходишь?
When I heard Random God in Five Pebbles room I felt like in an another world(btw Random God kinda 💀 but good )
epic game never played it tho
may god have mercy on your wretched soul
play it
play it
If you haven't played yet start doing it. I started a month ago and i still haven't completed the game (i know that i have skill issues) but id raccomend to start playing as the yellow slugcat (monk) or you'll have a hard time starting.
am i late to tell you to play it?
Kayawa lmao
I used to not understand the fandom's obsession with "Random Gods," like sure it's got a really unique sound and is emotionally charged but the same can be said for plenty of other tracks. Then someone explained to me that it contains the main theme leitmotif, but a chaotic and corrupted version of it that shows a glimpse into Five Pebbles's descent into madness, and godDAMN now I get chills whenever I hear it. (Still not as good as "Reflections of the Moon" from Downpour though, the clock ticking gets me every time)
How do I favourite a video
Yes
Add to playlist -> favorites
Several years ago UA-cam used to automatically have a Favorites playlist you could add things to, but they got rid of it at some point so now you have to make your own
threat - shoreline and the captain are in the same chapter pls fix
hmmm yesh much scug
Farm arrays threat is defintley my favourite.
