I am really enjoying these kit videos. These things can be very intimidating. Simply watching someone else build one from start to finish is raising my confidence to finally try one.
I want to thank you for creating this video and posting it. Without your video, I would of really messed my project up--BIG TIME! Walther's make some nice structure kits, but their instructions really leave a lot to be desired!!! Again, THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank You for taking the time to share your techniques and challenges faced while building this kit. I am building a small n scale layout (between Webex work meetings) using the same kits (Oil Refinery and Interstate Oil Company) so your videos are especially informative for my efforts. I'll be going to my local hobby shop tomorrow to pick up several of the paints you identified in this video.
NIce build and weathering on the project. I drove tank truck for 5 years and serviced several sites similar to this modal. Inside the small shack is a pump and valve system that is used for loading and unloading the tanks using the same pipes. It should be explained in the instructions more completely. I guess Walthers does not feel it needs to explain these things which is unfortunate. On the other hand you did a great job modifying the kit to your needs.
Thank you for this. I had a confusing time figuring out the small fueling platform. The instructions are terrible as there are no close up photos of the finished assembly. Back to the drawing board....
I believe if you want to model oil/fuel export to rail, you would need some sort of loading platform. If you wanted to model oil/fuel import, I'm sure you could figure a way to make some pumps/hoses near the loading dock.

Very interesting build. Thanks for sharing.
I built this one as well. I'm very happy with the results. I used the color scheme from the box and the weathering came out great.

I agree about WS instructions. Thanks for watching.

Thinking about adding this to my Military complex. Thanks for the video.
That would look good
Great video
Thank you
These videos let me know how much I suck and how lazy I am at painting, thanks 😂😂jk… nice tutorial
the drain pipe is the fill pipe, also, the little house is the pump house.
Thanks, very thorough. This will be added to my DO NOT ATTEMPT list. LOL.

That is helpful information! Thanks
Good video . Thanks. Would like to see it on the layout. I have HO version and am still pondering my options. New sub!
I cant wait to get it on the layout. Still waiting on a few things before I can tackle the refinery, but I'm excited about the plan.

Trying to do Something for my tanker Cars.
What did you use to stick the tanks to the Styrofoam to paint them?
painters tape. I just folder it over so the sticky side is on the top and bottom.
Another question..how do you match this with a rail siding assuming fuel is brought in by rail?
