After my husband passed away, and having lived in the same house for 39 years, I moved to an over 55 community 6 years ago. There is a lovely « den » area in my new home that I knew immediately would make the perfect craft room! I am not organized like you are…but what you’ve done makes me want to go clean and organize everything! Love your cards, your enthusiasm…and your Dave!
Most of us don't have the opportunity to have a full room for stamping. I live in a two bedroom apartment and have some things stored in the second bedroom but I work in the living room so I can have the t.v. on while I sit on the sofa. All of my supplies are in front of me on a very large coffee table and also to the left of where I sit on the sofa. I make over 500 cards a year so obviously I have a method but it definitely doesn't look as organized as your room. This is my community service so every card I make is given away with no thought of any reimbursement. Right now I'm working on 200 cards for the lakes Area Music Festival. I'm 83 years old and have great trouble walking thus the sitting on the sofa work area.
Oh my gosh, you are amazing! I can't imagine creating that many cards in a year! Thanks for what you do! I know your thoughtfulness and creativity is appreciated.
Do you need the items you are storing in your 2nd bedroom? Even if you can declutter enough for a desk, it’s totally worth it. Having a desk is sooooo helpful. I used to craft in the lounge and it was so stressful, I spent more time tidying up than crafting.
Oh my gosh. This is my dream room. We live in a 100 year old house. It is itty bitty. Good ideas. Laughed at going up & down for supplies. Most of my supplies are under my card table. Can't tell you how many times I have ordered duplicates because I have forgotten I ordered it. Need to redo my stamps & for sets.
I love your videos and your simple approach to stamping. And I love that you shared your very practical craft room with lots of storage ideas. It’s wonderful to see a consistently Top 10 Global Demonstrator who reached $1 million in sales who did it all in a modest craft room. You are so right, you don’t have to have everything to create beauty.

I am very happy to see how you organized your improved space. I have just "taken back" the space in my basement , that was heaped with boxes , furniture and anything my son left behind when he moved out in 2008! I had 2 friends come over ( not together) and we sorted, and cleaned. It's not magazine pretty but organized. Now to put my craft tools and paper etc in drawers and on shelves. It's been almost a year to sort, clean and rearrange furniture. It's a good thing my Christmas cards are done. I'm not quite ready to create in this space. How I wish my shelves etc looked as good as so many that tour their rooms. But it's better to gave a clean space than no space at all. I'm a Canadian demo in BC Canada, but I wish you happy Thanksgiving.

Lovely set-up! Was DEFINITELY worth your time to set it up and no -- you didn't make me dizzy. It is SO NEAT! I'd be afraid to work in there -- to mess it up. I especially LOVED the pictures of your family in their military uniforms. I'm sure you are very proud of them -- as you should be. My goodness , I'll take your craft room any time. Mines a mess. I had crafts in 3 rooms and like you. I was running here and there and lossing my stuff on the way. I had 5000 steps in less then 5hours. Everything is in one room now. but I need cabnets and counter tops. I love how you organized everything. Thank you for the shares and ideas.

I live in central New York. I have only been a SU demo for 6 years now - I too have basement space where I keep all the different holiday products and a small office space on the first floor for everything I've collected over the years for card making and scrapbooking and journaling. Our son lives on the 2nd floor. Thank you for the great storage ideas - it is a beautiful space! I have been trying to weed out some of my older/retired products - but it is tough to clean out when I want to spend my time creating - especially when the holidays are coming. And I work a full-time job still. Retirement is still 3 years away! Thank you for the terrific videos! (my husband would never do any videos like your Dave does- lol)

I have many many Stampin' Up retired wood mounted stamps that take acres (haha) of space, so I'd love to either get rid of them or turn them into no wood stamps. yes, i admire other's craft rooms too! i moved my crafts upstairs due to missing sunlight. lol. so, now, its in the corner of my bedroom. love having it so accessible. your room is so well organized as i would expect from a fellow retired nurse. our training paid off, huh. thank you for your generous sharing!!

My daughter suggested I part with some of my precious books to make room for all that cardstock. I think it is also time to pass some of my older stamps on to some cardmaking friends. I really enjoyed this tour. I am just getting into stamping and having punches and am reimagining and reworking my space for those items. I am planning my area now with the idea that I will not exceed a certain amount of space and will let older things go if I runout of room for new items. I have too much stuff - but I would never get rid of my old stamps- I do share mine with a close friend who also stamps and I have a lot of materials for scrapbooking as well! I built myself a “table” with a standard door and used 9 “hole” shelving for both ends - this is a perfect level for me to stand and craft!

I just love your room. Everything is so neat and organized. It is my dream to have a room like this so that everything is readily available and easily used. I enjoyed you so much during the spring retreat, and did make the cards you shared. Thank you for the wonderful tour, and may you have many years of enjoyment in this beautiful space!

Thank you for sharing your stamping room. Very organized and love how everything has there own space. One day I hope to have my own stamping room.
