Skied Squaw Valley (Palisades Tahoe) on May 5, 1984. Lift tickets were $5 for Cinco de Mayo and came with a bbq chicken lunch. Gondola was the only lift working from the base and the length of the line felt like this in Breck. HaHa But I still remember that day fondly 40-years later.

At Mammoth, either opening day or last day, they would have free skiing. Then you waited in line for 2hrs just to get on the chairlift. Would’ve been back in 2007 or 2008. Only was able to make 4 runs

doesn't even look like a lift line. looks like they are waiting for the bus. there are no lifts down in the town in breck. you take the gondula up to the lifts. looks like its stopped and everyone is having to wait in line for the bus. theres one bus that takes you up every 30 minutes so if the gondula is down everyone is waiting a while. only happens the last week or 2 of the season, or if theres lightning. iv never waited in any kind of line at breck.

I always think, which would you rather do…wait in line for who-knows-how-long for the “good lift”, or go over to old, empty lift that accesses “lesser terrain” and actually spend time skiing. 🤷‍♂️

That’s Breck and I’m guessing the gondola was broken down because that thing can move a lot of people. Skied there a number of times and never even waiting in a line.
