I visited heights of Abraham recently as well, which is surprisingly late considering that I grew up in matlock 😂
But sometimes you happen to find yourself visiting less places that are close by.

Yeah I completely get what you mean - I hardly EVER go into Nottingham City Centre now... which is sad cos there's so much to do there! I am still yet to explore the newly refurbished Nottingham Castle! I must go x
I went to Matlock Bath last weekend and got to say, I came away very impressed, the views on the cable car were fantastic ( and yes, like you I'm scared of heights ). The views from the restaurant were incredible too. Did one of the cave tours and had a good look around. Stayed up at the Heights around four to five hours then headed down to the village, had a stroll in the park and then ended up at one of the many fish n chip shops that it has. Weather wasn't too bad, just the odd passing shower but no sun unfortunately. Going to go there again in the future.

The cave is so fun to explore and yeah that cable car was HIGH! :D Yeah - I feel like I need another trip there! I've heard that at the weekend there are hundreds of motorbikes there too!
@@TheNottmLass heya Chuck yes it is a place I will definitely be coming back to. It's all set in such a quaint location and I can definitely see its appeal. Just need some sunny weather and it will be perfect. Didn't actually see that many bikes when I was there but I guess that Matlock Bath is a town for everyone.

Nice to see areas that have been visited in the past. Pretty even in the rain with the autumn colours.
A suggestion though. If it is absolutely essential to add blaring Muzak over the natural sounds, could we request that it be held to no more than 1/3 the normal speaking volume level. Saves waking the baby in the evening! 😉

@@TheNottmLass Oh the volume is always set to an appropriate level for the household circumstances Lass! It is just the unexpected jarring transitions that are added to the norm by those with pretentious "Artistic Aspirations" that is the problem. 😉

Matlock Bath was always my kids favourite place to visit for a day out when we lived in Derby.(not visited since we moved).

That’s a really good question! The cable cars are quite small - not sure if a buggy would fit! I really don’t know the answer to this question. I think if I were you I’d perhaps call to check if it is buggy friendly just incase xx
