And what does that make me? I've been delaying my Ascencion quest in Genshin for 2 years now taking advantage of the low world level. I'm basically not ready for WuWa
My only concern about Wuthering Waves is the lack lore of each region, lack of npc roaming around, lack of lifestyle to each region and many more. Genshin Impact is rich when it comes to region lore, you can tell the differences between each region because their lifestyle is different to other, their attitude, outfit, lore etc. Hopefully Wuwa focused to Region Lore even more rather than gameplay, they dont need to focus to gameplay because they're already good at that, you probably noticed that a lot of players always say that the game is dead, dull and pale that is because the game is lack of npc, both rural and urban is empty so hopefully WuWa acknowledged the importance or each region, rather than casually add region for no reason. That is my only concern.
if you are worried about that you can give them feedback, from my experience as a Punishing Gray Raven player I think Kuro really pays attention to feedback from players
a lot of people seem to think that the "difficulty" is gonna scare away a lot of the more casual players i dont think this is true at all, theyre mostly not gonna touch the game because they dont want to do the same thing theyve done in genshin once again, if WuWa had come out first, it would have without a doubt dominated the market, now im not so sure, there's even PGR players that arent even gonna try it, citing lack of time with all the exploration

Will I whale?? depends on what you think whaling is. Bc I will definitely spend to get most characters and I won't even feel bad bc I'm also supporting the game that I'm sure I'll love(i played the cbt2)
I do hope they make amends for the dps race fights. The guaranteed weapon at 80 is also a nice touch, but why do i have the gut feeling that they will make them somewhat... mandatory that you would want the character's weapon once you pull them? And, I do hope they expand on the co-op opportunities. If they can expand to make a tower and hologram mode for co-op like how tower of fantasy released fog (basically co-op for tower) I will definitely be more on board for this as me and a couple friends had a blast doing them.
Thats how it is in pgr sadly... New Characters without their weapons are barely servicable. I Hope this Game wont be the same cause i feel like that 100% weapon Banner is a red flag due to crit stats beeing hard to come by. Still going to play casually regardless

You know what's hardcore? Min maxing your whole set up, team and artifacts to deal the most amount of damage while taking advantage of the enemy mechanics to get windows of opportunities either to rest and get your plan in motion or attack and finish things up, studying the CD timer of buffs and debuffs to maximize your up time of DPS and/or understand at which turn your at the peak of your potential to do a one shot on bosses. That's straight up Chinese hardcore min maxing right there. That's the kinda stuff I see people do in Genshin and HSR, grind your a$$ so your character deals 10M damage. In comparison WW is at best a test of your reflexes. Wanting harder challenges doesn't mean you're hardcore, it just means you want more than getting your units to end things fast, it's like switching gears, now your goal is not to reach a level of power that let's you kill things faster, but you actually want the fight to last longer while not compromising either team composition or gear quality. Because sometimes I see people saying "Oh but if you want to have a challenge why don't you stop using OP characters and god tier gear?" But that's not it either, specially for a game like Genshin, if you lower your potential in Genshin, you still have to deal with bosses that do something but, like, not much and it just becomes a more time consuming endeavor, now, if you also tell me to allow the boss to hit a abuse me then that's just dumb xD HSR on the other hand it's a matter of necessity, if you don't have decent quality gear at least, you're gonna get stuck, because HSR is not a traditional turn based game, the mobs can not only do extra attacks but also they can just be faster than you and take multiple turns in which case it stops being a challenge and more of a gear checkpoint, not adding the need of multiple characters for different core colors and stuff, like a puzzle.
I skimmed through it! I think for a long time there has just been tension between casual, casual f2p, hardcore f2p, and whales, hardcore whales, etc. when it comes to Gacha games. I just want everyone to get along, lol. Some people end up getting really salty about things other than praising so I don't know. Certainly I don't want to see people get bashed when they attempt hard content for the first time. The game definitely is casual right now it used to be hardcore in Technical Test, you can't even see parry windows. But the general direction is catered towards the global and larger audience. Which is fine, because I want the game to grow bigger so I live long enough for Kuro to pump out more bangers like Hoyo.
casual and hardcore definition is SUBJECTIVE.. meaning what you perceive it is, is not necessarily the SAME as to how others perceive it, there is no actual CORRECT answer, as for your examples, gameXYZ you are good at it, your friend is not, so your friend thinks gameXYZ is hardcore but for you it is not hardcore, get it now? simply, play a game that you have FUN with, that's the only reason for playing ANY game, may it be a "hardcore" or "casual" game..
I don't understand your point here. Wuwa can also be played exactly like you say people are playing Genshin or HSR. You can min max your char to deal the most amount of damage. The difference is simply that because of the bosses mechanism and punitive damage, the windows of opportunities are less present and so can be seen as more hardcore, i don't know. Second point... For you, hardcore is min maxing your characters but in Genshin, Hsr and Wuwa this part is decided by your wallet and your luck, not your invested time or grind because you'll be limited buy the game anyway. That's why someone that play "casualy", spend the same amount of money than you and just read a guide in youtube can perform better than you if they get more lucky. At least Wuwa have a "needed" skill lvl to have (reflexes... i guess), you can have it from the start and be realy good but someone can also be bad and try hard to be at the same level as you with time. And Wuwa have in some way a more large space to grind equipment that is not limited by the game and your stamina even if there is still a limite with the tunner system. So you can grind in a hardcore way in Wuwa, like some streamer did during cb2 or simply play it casualy like people "grind" in Genshin. Or in between by not grinding in coop mode but simply clearing your map.
@@SteparuTV I'm with you on that, I know that there has always been tension between the concepts of F2P and P2W and stuff, from F2P in some games wanting to compete with Whale in leader boards and stuff, or Whales in other Games being frustrated that they can't just pay the game to be at the top ten and stuff, then the thing gets even more deconstructed into different communities and yada yada. For my part, aside from the little rant, I just want WW to be a game that people not only have fun with but also say something like "That's cool AF" xD Edit: in regards to the video, I do agree that Time limit challenges should just make the boss harder or something as time gets closer to end, having the challenge fail you after the timer ends doesn't feel right for this game, due to how WW gameplay is, actually consuming more time on a boss doesn't feel as dragging as in other cases, because it's all very fast paced, I wouldn't complain with expending half an hour fighting a boss in WW TBH, I would feel worse if I'm in the zone fighting a boss and the challenge ends because the timer ended xD
woah, theres a heavy attack? i thought it was only normal attacks. but its sinilar to nier automata then or other action rpgs, with normal and heavy attacks
Don’t forget we are getting five free decent 4 stars just from login, tutorials, and unlocking game modes plus a free 5 star whom we will likely get to choose among five different characters who most possess really good skill sets for beginners. Add in the fact that the MC is actually extremely good and we literally have everything we needed to build a functional working team before even needing to pull for other characters. They’ve taken f2p to another level
@@typicalgoodguyclub4games we also are getting 3 boss level echoes for free for the same means we are getting the 4 stars from. If you mean like other features that use gacha mechanics I can tell you the weapon banner has absolutely no 50/50. On the weapon banner, when you pull a 5 star either early or at hard pity you are guaranteed to get the 5 star you are going for.
as a pgr player ive been training for this gameplay (the way they lowered the starting difficulty in wuwa for less learning curve yet some ppl are still struggling in early game)
The thing is investing in one chara is so hard to do, because you're going to be interested in trying other chara that you will eventually need to spread the material and exp after all.
I am gona main the MC because she so cool and can change element and Her sword can change shape into a scythe(havoc/dark element Rover) the sword one is Spectro/light element
I hope we’ll get news on if the console release will be up to date or be behind mobile and pc content and banner wise so I know if I should download it on phone or not. I have very little space left holding Nikke PGR and hsr
I'm gonna play it F2P until I see if I like the Overall Gameplay (I already know I'm HERE for the Combat and Mob Soul Sucking mechanic). If I do, I'm sure I'll throw $25 at a Release Special Pack and a BP at release and maybe $10 here and there if the 'Hero' on the Special Pull Card I 'need'.
I’ve already quit genshin a while back because they decided to favour the casual side of the player base instead of catering to both so hearing that WW is finding a balance between the 2 is music to my ears
is it highly necessary to get perfect stat rolls? I watched the gameplay and i feel like perfect stats on echoes are by far less important as practicing your mechanics or boss patterns. The game doesnt seem to be stat-checky. How i see it atm, is that stat rolls are more something for very late game
Min maxing isn't really required too much, there are some CC that posted lots of hologram clear in the beta even without perfect echoes stat rolls. It's more a convenience to try aiming for perfect rolls. It was hard to get perfect or good rolls in the beta, but they are making it easier? So we'll see~ If they make it too easy then maybe people might lose incentive to hunt open world mobs.
pgr is super casual friendly because if you are casual you don't want to compete and you don't need the last bit you reward because you don't need to build your account wuwa is more casual friendly because it's open-world and the only hard thing is the tactical holograms and the rest is just a dps check and mainly focuses on how your resonators are built this is an answer to the title
I cant agree more, it just reading issue. Just know and understand what you are doing then you are ready to go. That's why sometimes in the spec requirement, they should include "you should be able to read and understand what the content is"😂😂😂😂
The problem of the gameplay of ranged class is because battle are based on block instead DODGE like PGR to enter in special mode. By the way, IMO there is by far too much bladers. There is many weapons in close range: scyth, claws, daggers, etc. About echoes, it's should be great some echoes as mount terrestral and/or flying like in Azur Promilia. Any info in WW about guild system ? Thanks and respoect for the work. Peace.
As far as i progress it is from hardcore to casual, all you need to do is build your team well until you reached level 90 characters then after that it is like genshin difficulty 😂. Since dodging and parry is easy here because of the handicap that even if you dodge in advance or late by miliseconds you can still dodge and parry it anyways.
so theres something to do all day if i feel like being a complete degenerate? i play genshin and the artifact system is the most rewarding, but its only for a lil bit of time
I’m almost always either F2P or maybe a dolphin. Whaling just ain’t in my budget lol As for play I’m usually decently hardcore. I don’t really sit there and grind out to min-max ALL my characters but I’ll definitely prioritize characters I like.
They need to put content based on DMC's Stylish mechanic early on. I'm kinda tired of timed content. I mean they're good, but we play action games to marvel at the great action moves. Time-based content insentivize us to prioritize optimal builds and characters and not fun.
cant wait to see players who think swiping makes them strong and can 1 hit a bosses, mald and quit in this game, and say "gAMe iS tOO hArd, i"m qUitTinG" KEKW on the side note, I am excited to play WuWa, I played the predecessor PGR, and I can expect that the bosses will be unique and hard, one's that require timings and patience, and by unique bosses like the Hetero Twins, Primal Projection, Lilith etc. (cant wait to get my ass whooped A LOT once I step in to WuWa XD)
I've seen a couple of videos now of people doing their dailies and it takes about 4 minutes which I think is pretty good. Especially because it looks like you can combine it with spending stamina, lowering the overall required login time. Overall I think it will end up taking more time than Star Rail, but less than Genshin Impact, but that's just a guess from what I've seen.
Playing WW on mobile is a skill issue I can't overcome.. unfortunate and I dont want to play on PC so i most likely won't be playing but if WW ever comes to console then I will play for sure. I love games like Bayonetta, DMC, MGR etc so with a PS pad in my hand I can’t imagine a challenge I can't master in this game if it's on console, well from what I have seen anyways
Soulslike for phones. I think if you're expecting Dark Souls difficulty in your mobile gacha game you will be disappointed. I've seen plenty of streamers have "skill issue" with certain bosses until they learn the attack patterns however, so in that sense there's a bit of soulslike. The game expects you to learn the bosses and not just ignore mechanics.
@@Byrvurraah ok that’s actually good enough, I actually needed that type of game where you actually need to focus to learn on the enemy’s attack patterns instead of just obliterating everything.
A bit disappointed when i hear Gun character can't parry certain moves and bosses. Even PGR already knows everything's that considers an attack, can parry, making the combat feel's so good and open. Hope Kuro Lean their gameplay design more a kin to PGR.
Super excited for this game, hopefully it will be really good. I'm currently also really burned out from Genshin after playing it every day since release and there are also currently no characters I'm really looking forward to, maybe Natlan will change this but who knows.
@@SteparuTV Yeah many people are really excited for her, unfortunately I’m not one of them. I really hope a upcoming character can also hype me again but seems like I have to wait a while. Fortunately there is WuWa next month and ZZZ is also right around the corner.

For my part, aside from the little rant, I just want WW to be a game that people not only have fun with but also say something like "That's cool AF" xD
Edit: in regards to the video, I do agree that Time limit challenges should just make the boss harder or something as time gets closer to end, having the challenge fail you after the timer ends doesn't feel right for this game, due to how WW gameplay is, actually consuming more time on a boss doesn't feel as dragging as in other cases, because it's all very fast paced, I wouldn't complain with expending half an hour fighting a boss in WW TBH, I would feel worse if I'm in the zone fighting a boss and the challenge ends because the timer ended xD
woah, theres a heavy attack? i thought it was only normal attacks.
but its sinilar to nier automata then or other action rpgs, with normal and heavy attacks
Yeah, there is a heavy attack~
literally just genshin with good changes. i dont understand
Damn thats nice info, also do they have other gacha other than the characters? Im quite new to this lol
I might give it a shot when the game comes to PS5. Shame it's not planned for the May release.
Great video! Love the format stepbro
There's no need to rush, the game doesn't have any kind of ranking system so, go at your own pace
as a pgr player ive been training for this gameplay (the way they lowered the starting difficulty in wuwa for less learning curve yet some ppl are still struggling in early game)
For me depends on my work and the updates (characters).
I'm so excited for the carpal tunnel. 🥰
The thing is investing in one chara is so hard to do, because you're going to be interested in trying other chara that you will eventually need to spread the material and exp after all.
They already said in dev stream they would make character leveling easier there also was a leak about a new way to level easier
I am gona main the MC because she so cool and can change element and Her sword can change shape into a scythe(havoc/dark element Rover) the sword one is Spectro/light element

@@AbrahamMadrigal-cy4jg if they adapt what Nikke does then sure
@@riddif what does Nikke do?
I hope they’ll add soulslike content that actually difficult. I want a challenge not damage check after damage check.
For some reason it get recommend good luck new players for 2.0
when this game comes out, I wouldn't be playing casually for at least a year. 😅
Nice video ste. Always like your vids since you dont use your voice :3. Anyway can't wait to play WuWa~
I hope we’ll get news on if the console release will be up to date or be behind mobile and pc content and banner wise so I know if I should download it on phone or not. I have very little space left holding Nikke PGR and hsr
do we have a feature to reroll stats for weapon or for echoes if by any chance?
Gonna hoard for Chalcharo
I'm gonna play it F2P until I see if I like the Overall Gameplay (I already know I'm HERE for the Combat and Mob Soul Sucking mechanic). If I do, I'm sure I'll throw $25 at a Release Special Pack and a BP at release and maybe $10 here and there if the 'Hero' on the Special Pull Card I 'need'.
Pokémon? No. Monster soul sucking. Fr though why did you word it like that 😭😭!?
@@Beeeeeewwwww lol I think he meant the Vortex skill from Jianxin's ult haha
Definitely a good choice, seeing if the game fits your style and enjoyable.
@@SteparuTV lol! Naw naw; the mechanic of getting skills or summons or whatever from killing the big mobs. And whats wrong with suckin monster soul?
Is there already any info on what the first banners etc will be on release?
Not yet officially announced, but there are leaks so be careful or false hopes haha.
@@SteparuTV I see thanks man!
I’ve already quit genshin a while back because they decided to favour the casual side of the player base instead of catering to both so hearing that WW is finding a balance between the 2 is music to my ears
i want to use all 3 my party character even in co-op. I don't want it to get limited to use only one character.
is it highly necessary to get perfect stat rolls? I watched the gameplay and i feel like perfect stats on echoes are by far less important as practicing your mechanics or boss patterns. The game doesnt seem to be stat-checky. How i see it atm, is that stat rolls are more something for very late game
true, it's only for fast clearing 5 to 30 seconds more than average echoes stats
The only important thing is the main stat, with that u can do all the content in the game including hologram (if u have the necessary skill for that)
Min maxing isn't really required too much, there are some CC that posted lots of hologram clear in the beta even without perfect echoes stat rolls. It's more a convenience to try aiming for perfect rolls. It was hard to get perfect or good rolls in the beta, but they are making it easier? So we'll see~ If they make it too easy then maybe people might lose incentive to hunt open world mobs.
What level do you have to be for co-op?
I'm not using items like food or other boosters and saving them for "later"
Can’t wait to play this on ps5
pgr is super casual friendly because if you are casual you don't want to compete and you don't need the last bit you reward because you don't need to build your account wuwa is more casual friendly because it's open-world and the only hard thing is the tactical holograms and the rest is just a dps check and mainly focuses on how your resonators are built
this is an answer to the title
Peace.
i already decided to main female mc and yangyang!!!
can never go wrong with maining free units while you build up your account^^
As far as i progress it is from hardcore to casual, all you need to do is build your team well until you reached level 90 characters then after that it is like genshin difficulty 😂. Since dodging and parry is easy here because of the handicap that even if you dodge in advance or late by miliseconds you can still dodge and parry it anyways.
My question is: the farm for boss echoes, is it unlimited or doas it have to be claimed as a drop when defeated?
unlimited boss farming
@@SteparuTV thanks!!
so theres something to do all day if i feel like being a complete degenerate? i play genshin and the artifact system is the most rewarding, but its only for a lil bit of time
I need the yo-yo lady!!
I’m almost always either F2P or maybe a dolphin.
Whaling just ain’t in my budget lol
As for play I’m usually decently hardcore. I don’t really sit there and grind out to min-max ALL my characters but I’ll definitely prioritize characters I like.
I miss your website so much :/ old times
I'm gonna play hardcore ^^ then i'll finally a game that challenges me
They need to put content based on DMC's Stylish mechanic early on. I'm kinda tired of timed content. I mean they're good, but we play action games to marvel at the great action moves. Time-based content insentivize us to prioritize optimal builds and characters and not fun.
cant wait to see players who think swiping makes them strong and can 1 hit a bosses, mald and quit in this game, and say "gAMe iS tOO hArd, i"m qUitTinG" KEKW
on the side note, I am excited to play WuWa, I played the predecessor PGR, and I can expect that the bosses will be unique and hard, one's that require timings and patience, and by unique bosses like the Hetero Twins, Primal Projection, Lilith etc.
The time sink will probably be spent mostly on grinding for echoes and min maxing! Though they did say it will be easier~
i prefer to play alone as long as if the game is a solo friendly game plus if the reward are worth my gameplay to progress something a better.
i can't beat level 5 hologram so hard for me i've reached my maximum skill
brother i cant hear what you're saying when yinlin's on my screen...
Yinlin New model OP.
My biggest question is how hard is it (or even possible) to re-roll at the start of the game for Yinlin?
Hey Steparu, will Rover’s skill reset when switching element?
Erm, I'm not sure I think that's leaks haha XD
@@SteparuTV it can’t be done in the current beta? Or the story stops you at using spectro
@@Damienbooplays For now Rover is only Spectro/Light element. :)

How this affects BasedMan leagacy?
Must get Yinlin!

Are we ligit getting a soulslike gacha game or not, that’s the real question
Soulslike for phones. I think if you're expecting Dark Souls difficulty in your mobile gacha game you will be disappointed. I've seen plenty of streamers have "skill issue" with certain bosses until they learn the attack patterns however, so in that sense there's a bit of soulslike. The game expects you to learn the bosses and not just ignore mechanics.
@@Byrvurraah ok that’s actually good enough, I actually needed that type of game where you actually need to focus to learn on the enemy’s attack patterns instead of just obliterating everything.
Gacha Souslike is hard to sell, lol. I'm open to all though!
Ftp probably spending everything on mc and going for clearing all the content
How do I gain the ability to wait faster? xdd
Edit: 10:16 so true. We should be welcoming all players.
Sleep sleep sleep surely when we wake up it's time.
All I want is a PlayStation 5 release date
Lets go hardcor
A bit disappointed when i hear Gun character can't parry certain moves and bosses.
Even PGR already knows everything's that considers an attack, can parry, making the combat feel's so good and open.
Hope Kuro Lean their gameplay design more a kin to PGR.
I'm here for my wife Yinlin
Yinlin: Yes
Hardcore if you wanna kill all mosnters in your world for Echoes aka Equipment 😅
How about introducing difficulty selection kuro games cmon
Would be neat like PGR harder modes, but maybe later on need to fish in everyone first.
Female Rover is the only waifu I need.
I hope it get released wuth Android controller support
Super excited for this game, hopefully it will be really good.
I'm currently also really burned out from Genshin after playing it every day since release and there are also currently no characters I'm really looking forward to, maybe Natlan will change this but who knows.
The latest character looks good though Arlecchino! No worries, I think it's good to enjoy both games.
@@SteparuTV Yeah many people are really excited for her, unfortunately I’m not one of them. I really hope a upcoming character can also hype me again but seems like I have to wait a while.
