Something the show doesn't really explain is that Satyrs age half as fast as humans. So even though Grover is technically 24 he's still mentally about 12

I watched the movies first before I read the books. Once I read them, I was team book. They have done a fantastic job adapting it for a series, and I really want to see not just all Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but maybe The Heroes of Olympus series as well. This is what they should’ve been doing with The Chronicles of Narnia now.

You have a LOT of questions and I'm caught up and will just say that all of them will be answered. A lot of them in the 2nd episode, which was dropped the same night as the first ep. I kept saying, "Just pop in the 2nd episode." 😁 Try not to do too many one-to-one comparisons with Harry Potter 'cause, obviously, they're very different stories with different rules, so it may do more to confuse you than clarify. I'm, personally, loving this.
Yeah I realized when editing episode 2 also I was just spewing allllll my questions out loud too, my mind just goes all over the place with this show and I couldn’t help it 😂 but then now with episode 3 I was quiet a lot of the time, which is not great for fair use/copyright either

Love your reaction so far, I am 21 still a big fans of the book doing my thesis on next year. One thing, I want to give is background the author hates the movies so he the main writer of this one and casted everyone. Originally Rick Riordan wrote this series for his son a bed time story, his son has dyslexia and ADHD and he used work as teacher so he got with kids with me learning differences . It got so popular because a safe place for us and in world being different is normal. Like Riordan wrote it highlighting that a lot of those with disabilities may not be good a one thing but we strive in another area. “ The letters float off the page when you read, right? That's because your mind is hardwired for ancient Greek. And the ADHD-you're impulsive, can't sit still in the classroom. That's your battle-field reflexes. In a real fight, they'd keep you alive” - one of the quotes I using for thesis which going talk about the portrayal of leaning disabilities. Still figure out as we go. End of rant, side note you’re really pretty.

Percy jackson was my childhood, got me into mythology. Plus i also have ADHD and dexlexya so having so thise books were grate to read growing up, percy jackson started out as bed time stories for his son who also has ADHD and dexlexya.
Loveing the show. It seems like rick is using the show as a way to redo parts he would do differently after writeung the books since 2005. Such as making personalitys match more and setting up future plot points.
The whole riodenverse is great. Though there are alot of books/series, theres 5 percy jackson books 5 hero of olympus books, 3 kane cronical books, 3 kane cronical and percy jackson crossover short storys, 3 magnus chase books, 5 trials of appollo books, the sun and the star and hes is writeing 3 new percy jackson books, theres alot. There is also a musical and 2 movies, thiugh no one talks about the movies, rick says there like his lifes work going thiugh a meat grinder.
Wooooow that’s a lot of books!!!! Well at least I won’t fear running out of stuff!! I noticed the little hints at the dyslexia and adhd, and the latter was definitely relatable for me. As a kid I’d see how it would be a great book to help you contextualize the differences that you may feel. I’m hooked for sure!

My daughter loves these books, I think because she’s dyslexic and ADHD like Percy (and most half bloods). She’s been looking forward to this series for months. Unfortunately, I think she’s been disappointed because of how far the show strays from the books (and she devours those books).
All things will be one clear...or at least clearer than they are now...

@@NiaMakiReacts I saw the first movie and liked the concept (never read the books), but didn't LOVE the movie and didn't bother seeing the 2nd movie, but mainly 'cause it didn't get good reviews. I'm glad they made this series so it can delve deeper than any movie.

@@NiaMakiReacts From what I've seen of other reactors who read the books, it is much closer to the books than the movies (which most of them don't like) and the author of the books adapted this for TV and is executive producer. One thing I do remember from the movie (which isn't much) is that these actors here are more age appropriate with the books where the movies looked like they were closer to 16-18 years old. I know the author changed some stuff here than from the books and it's up to the people personally to whether that bothers them or not. I've seen some fans of the book that really want a one-to-one translation and get upset when something is different and others who don't mind the differences and like some of them better.
