My first bike was a used XR75 that I bought with my money from cutting grass. I was eleven years old. I miss the 80's.
My younger brother had one of these, funist thing I ever rode and I’ve ridden much. If everyone in the world had one the these there’d be no more war or worries. Thanks for sharing. Ciao.
I see this masterpiece under a 🌲 that will change some youngster's life...."for the better🎅
This exact model was my first bike, I was ten, I have owned lots of bikes but this one was the best bike ever never let me down so much exploring fun, and an absolute pleasure to ride.
Sounds amazing.
My first bike was a 1978 Honda XR75. It went from me to my brother, then Service Honda and then it went to Dick Burelson, and he is still riding that bike today from what I understand. Mine had the DG downpipe and it sounded great and you could hear it a very long distance away😇😇😇
That bike is beautiful especially with that nostalgic pipe. I had a 1984 xr80. Looking back I prefer this 1978
Thanks again Ken for keeping your word during your busy schedule & posting yet another video of this awesome 1978 Honda XR75 . GOD BLESS you all at Kaplan Cycle.
I had one as a kid back in the early 80s,, mine had a cut off pipe with a little can by my right peg,, it sounded awesome,, best 100 quid I ever spent! I think mine was a 76 bike!
Love it ! Then again who our age doesn’t. My parents never could afford it. But we did dream , I worked & got my own in my teenage years. Born in 66 living my youth through you K Kaplan 🇺🇸
One of the best sounding 4 stroke dirtbikes ever, loved ripping my friends around when he had one
Beautiful little bike , sounds great , nice job.
I knew a kid Loyd who lived a block away with this bike and he used to wheelie dragging his feet just like that. One day he was doin his thing down my street and he looped out....
Yes.! Even with his feet down and when he let go the bike scraped the back fender bout 10 feet before it fell onto its left side and stopped about a foot away from my sisters brand new car. I’ll never forget my Dads face as he stood raking leaves with his mouth open......... it’s amazing the stupid crap you remember.......
oury grips that bring ya back. love you vids
my buddy had one of those when we were kids. we had a riot pulling a sled tied to the back in the winter on snowy roads
Honda jacked it up a notch when they came out with the XR 75 . Great little bike !
That little bike is absolutely pristine the kaplan's have done it again.
my first bike as a kid, try as I may, I couldn't kill it. loved that bike.
I had this bike as a kid and it was an awesome bike I rode trails all over town best memories ever!
You guys are just tugging at my heart. I had a XL70 about the same year. Mine was blue. A buddy of mine had a XR 75 about the same year. Man, sure brings back some great memories! Thanks for sharing! GOD BLESS !
Great little bike would have sold my soul for it as a kid. Ken senior sort of wheelies it like a Sunday afternoon stroll but with a very cool edge on it.😁👍
I had one in the late 70’s …so many great memories….incredible bike
I had a 1975 with the DG exhaust pipe that looks very similar to this one. I also stripped it and painted the frame red as well.
it is amazing how much power those little xr 75 have plus big bore kits for them all over
My first dirtbike on age of 7. The one who learned me how to shift gears with clutch. One more beautiful vintage in the n°1 motorcycle museum from all over! As usual good job guys!
Kaps is the dad everyone wishes they had legend of a man
Thank you Brother!
Gorgeous Machine 1979 was the Last year of the Exhaust plus the First year of the XR80
First bike I owned with a clutch when I was 6... 1978 XR75
That's killa! I initially wanted a 78 XR75 but wound up with a 79 RM80. I loved that RM!! To this day, the style of the 1979 RM line up is my favorite!
My dad purchased an XL75 for me in 1978 ...he got a gold trans am 🙂
My paternal grandfather passed and left us $12,000 so my immature old man got us some toys
My first Motocross Bike was a 79 RM125N.I'm 63 yrs old now and ride A Harley Streetglide but that Suzuki RM 125 will Always be one of My Favorite Bikes that I've owned.
1978 dad got a big tax return, got himself a used 1975 kawi 350 big horn, me a 78 RM 80, and my brother that exact 78 XR 75!
Bikes were just so cool back then, now what are we stuck with? Chinese pit bikes, or late models that aren't as good as the old classics. I miss the 80's also.
Looks good.. someone could have a merry Christmas
My childhood dream bike! I never got one, but got many others, and those were the exact same slow wheelies I’d do non-stop...
Such a kid! Good for him!
Awesome what a dime peace ✌️ big hello to Junior and senior classic peace man 👍💪👌🎄
Rock n rollin Throttle controlling Captain Kaplan...
These little bikes would definitely fly I had a 1980 xr80 which was the 2nd year after the model changeover the 79 xr 80 kept the same upswept style exhaust with the small pipe coming out of the end to where the 80s had the newer redesigned snake around style up and out to the larger pipe behind the right rear shock I loved all those little bikes I use to love to ride mine in the fields and on the trails in the woods even after dark with a bright moon in the summer was always fun.
Damn dude,I had an 82 XR80 miss that bike!!!
My first dirt bike. The memories
the 1st bike i learned to ride on
My 1st bike. Wonderful memories
The perfect pitbike
Memories , right there
Memories !
That was my second bike. At 11 years old, I couldn’t wheelie anything like you can lol. That’s a beauty.
Get em Kaplan America
Gotta love A Red Honda. Whatever year it was. Kids in 78 where lucky if you had this little bike. I had a Honda cub c70 first kick start each time. The new cubs are nice too.
First dirt bike I ever rode....30 yrs ago. I remember laying it down and popping a wheelie. My friend was sooo pissed because it was his bike. Lol
That is awesome 👍
Happy Holidays Kaplan
You guys should paint the concrete walls maybe in a American flag or something it look mint when u show the bikes
Looks like about you're speed right there Ken!
Love it
I repaired one of those for a classmate when I was in high school. What a fun awesome bike they are. A month later someone stole it from him.
I wanted that bike so bad
I got a fuckin huffy pedal bike
love you guys merry xmas to your team and family !
That kid on that bike., is pretty good at doin wheelies 😁👍
Exhaust sounds great, i could really do with a pair of them for my Honda CB125T
My idea of Angel's singing is an H2 Kawasaki with triple chromed expansion chambers and no mufflers ;)
My kz 1000 sounds grrrreat
Ciao capitan America ,seguo sempre i tuoi video, li trovo molto interessanti, quando ci presenti qualche Cagiva VMX? Best regards from Italy 😉
Very cool bad ass again 👍🏻💯🤘🏼🇺🇸
Mine was 1973 Tora by Rockford. I was rather hard on it.
That car 75 is immaculate
Ok kap you still popping them up no problem
💪😎🇺🇲

Preferred by 2 out of 3 Rick Johnsons.
Doug Domokos 🤘🏻
Big money but a life long memories
Just think Ken in another 10 years that just might be too much bike for you. LOL.
✌️
You should do some more shop updates.

He's gonna lose his work order paperwork.., again... 🤣🇺🇸🤣
Gi-na-gaz
I had the same bike the only thing is the foot rests are screed into the aluminum block worst design ever if you jumped like I did they ripped right out then you rested you feet on the engine cases!!!
Why does this look like a repeat because it's just like the tv show
First like baybeeee eeehhh eeehhh
Yo
My first “race” bike. Not nearly as nice.
Mine too😇😇😇
My dad brought home the xr 75 for my brother and the xl 100 for me ! We rode them for 3 years before getting bigger ones
