Year after, once Moon elected for president, he hosted event called 'Hof Meeting(Pub meeting)' where people from all social standings were invited such as, CEOs, part-time worker and so on. And this student was also invited.
At this meeting, President Moon obviously asked the student how he did on the test, then student replied that he did not pass the test and preparing for other type of the test. So, President Moon expressed the regret and asked him If he went back to school or not and other life things are doing.

It may seem small, but its very comfy and there is also a hallway outside that can make you less claustrophobic of it. It can seem sad but its really just financially beneficial.

What a great interaction to watch. The President of South Korea did not come off to me as entitled or prejudiced, but more like a caring uncle just checking in. That young man was totally humbled and respectful of the situation, but was also able to live it and experience it. This was nice to watch, thank you.
Hey guys, just to give a background for why they have picked Pres. Moon (before he was a president) to fold laundry with the student. The student is living in a place called go-si-won or go-si-tel, which is a place that people live in to study. As you can see, his bedroom, as most of you say, is not his bedroom but his ENTIRE studio. He doesn't have a separate living room, no separate restroom, no separate kitchen, no separate laundry that is his. You have little to no room other than your desk, chair, and your bed. These are ultra-crammed space that many go to, with the goal that they will pass certain exam by eliminating all distractions. Many outside of go-si-won sympathize those who are in it, as they are in desperate positions and are definitely struggling. So for those people who live in go-si-won, their every day is filled hope (for the future), but also with despair (because of the current living situation). So they wanted to bring Pres Moon to surprise the guy and brighten his day.

The South Korean President seems to be a very warm and down to earth person. He treated the young man as he would his own son. The President wasn’t the least bit aloof, and, time spent together was easy going and not the least bit contrived. It was lovely. The young man was honest and humble and behaved in a dignified and respectful manner. Visiting the young man in a laundromat was a nice touch. They drank and ate together - that was nice. The gift of a tie that the President was wearing was lovely. This will be a nice memory both for the young man and the President of South Korea.
