My favorite bit from the Three Jokers was when Jason shot the Clown Joker. He didn't just shoot him, Batgirl throws a batarang to stop him, but misses. She flips on him for shooting the Joker, but he says "Tell me Barbara, when was the last time you missed?" (She's considered the most accurate in the Bat family when it comes to Batarangs.)
Definitely one of his most creative punishments. He could’ve chosen many creative ways to kill Matsuo, but instead, he chooses to live as a haunting figure, taking off a piece of this guy’s body, until he dies of age or commits suicide.
It's kind of odd, considering Sabertooth also has a habit of finding Logan, no matter where he is and beating him to near death on his birthday, every year.
@@Naiddou I felt that way too, but really the Joker had basically beat him psychologically at that point so really the act felt like we had waited for this for so long, but it wasn't what we wanted.
Even before I started the vid, I said to myself that the list wouldn't count unless you included Midnighter and the jackhammer. Thanks for doing your homework.
The Punisher vs Slavers feels out f place in this list. The rest of heroes/anti-heroes in the list were pushed to commit brutal revenge on people who directly hurt them. The Punisher is just dispensing his typical brutal justice on the Slavers instead of an actual act of personal revenge.
I appreciate the inclusion of the jackhammer. On a different note i feel Mr. Hydes revenge on the invisible man in league of extraordinary gentlemen tops alot of moments on this list.
There's a comic where Batman finds the murderer of his parents, Joe Chill, and starts to visit him randomly at night to terrify him for years. As far as I remember, it leads to Joe Chill killing himself, but I might be wrong.
He works him into a corner by showing him who batmang really is, then the villains find out he's responsible for batman and bats bails to let them deal with joe
@@mmmhh2840 no they're 2 different stories. The one he's talking about is in a comic, and the brave and the bold one is that versions first time finding Joe chill
If anyone is interested, the number one on this list comes to it's final chapter in the collection Psylocke. This is a well-done, Kill Bill-inspired story that focuses on the title character (one of my favourite X-Men). If you're a Psylocke, definitely check it out. I got it for dirt cheap at a convention so you can probably find it for a low price as well.
That would drive someone insane in minutes, if not seconds. Its like you know you're alive, but you cant confirm it, without your senses. He's essentially dead, in a way.
Number 1 was seriously brutal. Just imagine how horrifying it’d be to know Wolverine’s coming for you once a year and that there’s nothing you can do about it.
Didn't Giant Man bite the Blob in half as revenge for killing the Wasp in one of the Ultimate Comics? That sounds about as brutal as it gets, I've never read that comic, but I've heard about that incident countless times.
There's a few I could think of that would be good in the list but to be honest this was pretty good. You should pull from more little known comics for your next list to make part 2 even better!
Michonne's revenge on the Governor in the Walking Dead comics was easily one of the more brutal and graphic depictions of revenge I've seen in some time...
I think of ultimate comic revenge's, one always clearly and quickly rises to the top, and it was a villain enacting vengeance on a hero, among our most beloved heroes, n fact. X-men #25 (Blue team, started mid 90's). Magneto on Wolverine. Logan sneaks up and gets the jump on Magneto, nearly gutting him. N one of Magneto's most savage acts of rage, turns around, and literally rips all the adamantium from Logan's skeleton. All at once. At that time, that was the closest anyone had ever come to killing Wolverine. It messed him up bad, and n the next issue, #26, was the first time n Wolverine history we find out that his claws r not implants. They were naturally a part of him all along. Great storyline, and Magneto takes the cake with that infliction n my book. That's just me. It was fkn harsh.
Skurge on the comics - Goes toe to toe with Thor and Hulk. Skurge on MCU - A coward and comic relief who doesn't thrown a single punch. Well done Feige and Taika.
Didnt he at least get to go out a relative badass in the movie? I seem to recall him sacrificing himself to get the other refugees out of helas reach. And yeah, he did it with a gun in each hand raining lead on the undead hordes.
The President's Vampire- in one of the books, the MC deals with a villain by breaking his jaw, legs, arms, elbows, nose, feet, hands-- then placing him in medical care, returning every few months to break his rapidly healing jaw, legs, arms, elbows, nose, feet, hands . . .
I recall the Captain Britain villain 'Slaymaster' blinding Betsy Braddock (standing in for Brian at the time) in one storyline. As soon as he saw it, Brian crushed Slaymasters head with a rock. I think that counts as brutal revenge.
You forgot the one where a group of people got their revenge on wolverine by not only sending his soul to hell, but then later tricking him into murdering his illegitimate children, then the group commit suicide so Wolverine couldn’t retaliate
Erm... you left out Billy Butcher from the sublime original comic books. He had arguably the 3 most brutal revenge in comics history.
