@@BecomingBossC you are welcome. I intend to commence my CIA journey in January. In the meantime, I want to gather all the relevant study material. Could you advise which site I can purchase the material from, and how much can it be?. Secondly, let me get this straight; did you say my 3 years start immediately I register for the CIA program or immediately I write the first exam?. Thank you.
@@nkulalesa9839 Oh wonderful! It’s great that you are being proactive. So the 3 year countdown begins right after you are approved for the CIA program. I registered in November 2020 and must finish all exams and other requirements by November 2023. That is why I suggest applying for the program AFTER you start studying.
Thanks for a great video - made think of certain things I didn't even consider before! Just a couple of questions if I may. 1.is it ok to study using online books from any of study providers instead of physical books? 2.is it a good idea to buy study materials from different providers? I have LearningCIA book and now leaning towards buying Gleim course too. Thanks!
If you prefer reading online, that should not be an issue. The same content will be online and in the study book. 🙂 You can certainly mix and match study materials. For example, I studied for part 3 using Wiley and the IIA’s Learning System.
Yes, the CIA exam has a multiple choice question format for all 3 parts! Great question! I will definitely make a video like that! 🙂 Thanks for watching!
Hi Boss C, you noted that you must finish all 3 exams within like 3 years time period. I have met people who claimed to finish their all 3 parts within a year because they were already working in Internal Audit. Is it even possible?, and if it is, then can a newly qualified CIA add the title with his/her name or is there also some mandatory experience that you must complete before calling yourself a CIA? Thanks.
Hi Rocky, if someone has worked as an internal auditor for a while and is familiar with the content that is tested on the CIA exam, then it is certainly possible to finish the three exams within one year. The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) outlines eligibility requirements, including experience, at this link: www.theiia.org/en/certifications/cia/eligibility-requirements/
You can order study materials online and they will be shipped to you. The Institute of Internal Auditors has its own study materials, or you can use Wiley, Gleim or others. Search online for best options ☺️
Hi Rajesh! Thank you for watching and subscribing. I am considering private tutoring, but I will only do that once I have passed part 3 of the CIA exam. So stay tuned!
