The singer quickly rivals hope Sandoval in blowing my mind. SO WITCHY AND SIMPLY PHENOMENAL. The dj on the keys and switches is a mastermind . The flute playing woman sets the riddles in motion, and it all channels thru the singer's chants and movements. I am mystified. Adore
We are not bored, we respect and feel the music. You'll know when the time comes to go crazy ;)
Beautiful language!
Fantastic song, I’m your fan now!
Electronic sounds meets clarinet with icelandic vocals. Interesting mixture. Well done.
right before our eyes all
is right
Omg, I'm in love.
beautiful
deepdope purelove
i was just watching an interview and Nanna from 'Of Monsters and Men" says that icelandic crowds just kind of sit there and don't get into the show, that's its weird how american crowds sing along. After seeing how dead this crowd looks i see what she means. I totally be ragin to this jam.
Come over to America and play with us!
this is so beautiful.. she sounds like Björk.
yea man, i dont think ive ever heard a clarinet in rock music or seen a setup quite like this.
ps-the way she looks and wearing the black shall kinda reminds me of lykke li
I like your song and year voie
Soo, how many Icelandic artists do you know?? ... or listen to?
Two?!!
There are sooo many awsome artists from Iceland! There are so "damn" creative!!! Think, this is the incredible ambience...
Ég elska Ísland
JFDR, Pascal Pinon, Samaris, GANGLY, Mammut, Soley, Rokkurro, vok and Bjork are the ones I listen to but I also know of many others that I don't listen to (and yes jofridur is the singer in the first 4 xD)
@Localh81 It's called Icelandic. It's the language we speak up here.
Reminds of depeche mode, Waiting For The Nights
First of all, half the people in this crowd are probably not Icelanders since it's the Airwaves festival. Secondly, I doubt you would be "ragin to this jam" if you understood the lyrics. You'd probably be sitting in silence just like this crowd...
If someone could accurately translate this I'd be over the moon with love.
in fact it says about Iceland crisis in the past
hljómar samt pínu eins og Björk... en mér finnst hún samt betri en Björk!
Reminds me of Depeche Mode's 'Monument'. :-)
could someone upload the version from the ep... I cannot play/ link new samaris to my friends.. or maybe i have to start carrying their cds with me..
isn't it Pascal Pinons singer?
bLaZed1099 Yes it is, but unfortunately Pascal Pinon is no more. She has also sung in GANGLY and now under the name JFDR as a solo artist.
Quite different to the version they played in the KronKron shop....
I dont understand what she is sayin since i know nothing about icelandic. I guess my perspective is that i like to go crazy whenever i hear music that i like. I didn't realize that many in this crowd are not from Iceland. Regardless, this crowd looks really bored while this music certainly sounds interesting. this music doesn't sound boring. I don't understand the context. Sry! And if you understand Icelandic and English could you please give a translation, as best you can. i look to understand.
seriously so serious
translattion?
Dáleiðandi snilld..
Can someone translate?
lucky bastard ;)
Almost just like bjork. Seriously, if she covered bjork's songs, I would not be able to tell the difference.
maybe be a siren
soundcloud (dot) com (slash) samaris
gogoyoko (dot) com (slash) artist (slash) samaris
Sounds like Bjork
If mermaids exist, I'm sure their voice will sound like this..
lame comment...
I would have thought Nordic high priestess of a matriarchal cult lol
to high
she is my girlfriend
In your dreams lmao
I think they ruined this song. It sounds so different but not in a good way. Usually their live performances are amazing.
