Well done, I'm about to build a mini dozer, if I can figure out hydraulic piece of the puzzle, this video answered how to make the drive sprockets, I will use rubber tracks. Thank you for video.
I have 24 years experience of forklift and plant fitting... GREAT WORK!!! i spent over half an hour 'beating' an track adjuster on a 35 ton digger today cos it was seized. Fixed it in the end!
I am finally getting around to watching more. I am not usually speechless, but this is one of those times. (My wife thanks you) Excellent out of the box skills, thanks for taking the time to video all this. -Alan (MH81 from GTTalk)
I like your idea for how you used the angle grinder to cut your gears. I am always looking for ways to use what I got to get the job done. Thanks for the video looking forward to your next video.
Love you're video's. . Been very helpful to me on my project. .. I've learnt alot from video's. .Thanks ... Keep up the good work and all the best for your future project's 👍👍👍
U didn't waste my time! I'm the one that clicked on the video! I like the idea! I wouldn't have thought of this at all! Lol simple but yet it seems to work perfect! Thumbs up!
I wouldn't make another set. It would be cheaper and more efficient to have them made in a machine shop, or cut them from scrap pipe flanges. Each sprocket took a week of evenings to complete. If you found some old ASA/ANSI 150 flanges you could do it fairly cheap Another option would be old check valve bonnets for an old fashioned look ( they are dished cast steel)
ducks Garage am looking at incorporating three designs to make a set of 4 tracks to go on an articulateing cub cadet with hydro trans and 3 cyl perkens Diesel engine.
@@ronaldpotts7436 Cool, My next project( once I get through the two I,m on now) will be to build a 4WD Ford articulated, Haven't got an engine yet, and still collecting parts, but I expect to get it done before I'm t0o broken to do it.

That was a very neat idea you came up with. Just goes to show that you don't always need expensive tooling to get the job done.
Thanks, Nice job on your crawler

very innovative cutting technique. Well done
Just trying to get the job done with what I have. Money is always tight here.

Nice work and good solutions to get max from min!
FANTASTIC!
This is why God invented Plasma Cutters!......Love your build! Amazing!

Great 👍

Hey Dave....what do you think about using a motorcycle rear hydraulic brake system for steering the little dozer?
If its off a big bike, it should work, i used automotive brakes, I used rotors off a dodge car since they matched the bolt pattern and hub size
Nicely done Sir
Thank you
Made me Subscribe! Thank you!
Very nicely done.
Could you have used rotors and cut out the teeth? I'm asking cuz I have some handy.
I don't see why not. It would depend on what you use for chain. I made my sprockets to fit double pitch attachment chain.
How many cutting disk does it take per idler ?? They look to have been turned on a lathe. 👍
3 -4 each if I remeber correctly, and I burnt out 2 angle grinders.
you can use that on new years eve. hahaha
How much would you charge for a pair of them sprockets?

Do you have detailed prints or a down loadable file a person could precious from you.
Sorry, not at this time. I expect to have one in the future.
ducks Garage how soon future? Next week would be soon enough. LOL!!
What do you need to know? I'm still working on some design issues with the steering setup.
