Romeo Nance should never have been released after committing this violent road rage attack just over a year ago. It is tragic and ironic that his mom, who tried to shield him from the consequences of his actions, was one of his victims.

Whoever that girl is that's screaming for his release must feel like crap now knowing he is the ultimate monster now. If she was not one of his victims of course.

Parents have a good idea who their children are if they keep getting arrested for violent crimes. I had a uncle like this. He shot his own sister and shot her boyfriends eye out while they were sitting in a parked car. Their kids were in the back seat, my grandmother told her to tell the police she didn't know who shot her. Her boyfriend knew who shot them and did not lie to save my grandmothers favorite child. My aunt didn't press charges, but the state picked up the case anyway , because the boyfriend was not going to lose an eye and let the shooter be free he and his family wanted my uncle in jail. My uncle was spoiled rotten, he was the youngest child. My grandma formed a dance group of her youngest kids they performed little gigs here and there. Then my uncle started landing commericials and acting jobs in plays. He made good money and my grandmother used it to by land in Missipippi for him. He never asked her to do that, he wanted to spend his money his way. This became a problem he started lashing out whenever he had to ask her for his money. Then he got about 16 and wanted to be a thug, he started smoking drinking and stealing cars. He finaling got his wish and started the hardcore gun play of shooting at people and robbing people. He ended up in jail because he slashed my cousins throat but she didn't die. All the cases he was charged for, my aunt, her boyfriend, my cousin, and random street guys that I don't know all got some justice. He has been in jail about 12 years now. His son was murdered at 8 am on the south side of chicago by a rival gang at only 18. A son he never raised, and could not got to his funeral. My grandma and my grandfather passed too and my uncle was rotting in jail. I think the man is pure evil. He never showed any mental issues when were coming up, and I believe slowly he just transformed into a very evil human being.

It's so sad to hear the sister scream to protect her brother. I can only imagine the, shock, horror and disappointment they felt in their last moments before he took their lives.

I have a gut feel his auntie played a role in getting this boy's bail lowered because he should've been remanded from the jump and what it was the evidence was real strong and he was going to be serving some serious time for that road rage shooting and I'm willing to bet it contributed to him committing familicide.

When you are a bleeding-heart Liberal, and keep feeling sorry for people that will instantaneously take advantage of your ignorant self...you show these types that you are afraid to punish them severely enough to change those bad habits and choices.
Whomever let him out, cost those people their lives.

This should serve as a reminder to family members, specially moms, stop pretending your child is innocent! He didn’t wake up one day and turn violent,he’s been like that for years and she knew the arrest was legitimate! Innocent people don’t fight with cops, they get lawyers!😮

Why tf do people think they can just say “no they don’t” when police tell them they do. Like how tf would you know? Do you have access to the police’s database? You think they’re just making it up on the spot? Makes no sense. RIP to that family

This is nonsense. I get being apprehensive with police in this day and age. Sorry, but I've been let down by law enforcement time and time again..... especially in the Chicagoland area. I know.they have A LOT to deal with, as well. However, I've also seen them act in ways that would warrant jail time if ever were caught on camera, or were just civilians. I also know.....for an absolute fact.....the police will bend the law in order to fill quotas strictly for revenue. It is a fact. It is not a rumor. The police department and local government are a business before they are an asset to the community. While I am aware it takes "income" in order for these departments to function and be able to serve and protect, it becomes even more clear when they can let certain people go, and others remain in custody. Sure. Police do.put their lives in the line for very little pay in comparison with the actual physical and emotional weight carried by an officer. It is a double edged sword. Unfortunately for the public, we do not reap the benefits of these institutions as much as we suffer from their mistakes, become divided politically within our own communities because "dirty" cops are constantly let loose unchecked, are completely unaware of their own laws, allow bigoted personnel to continue to flourish in their ranks, and so on. Don't get me wrong....there are LOTS of great people doing their damnedest to do their job fairly. They, too, suffer from their own departments not training officers properly in order to actually help the community. They would rather lock people up for non violent crimes to extort them for what very little income they have, rather than find them the help they may need. It isn't their responsibility, but then why take they job where you are asked to "serve and protect"? So much to unpack here. I love my friends in martial arts that I train with. And I love the fact that they, too, are upset with the way things are run. They do the best they possibly can on all fronts to help to help the community they police.
All.this being said.......this is another reason why I understand the frustration coming from others, too.
Now.....after this....he is released, and slaughters 8 people (I think that is the number), including the woman screaming, who I believe is his mother. Police are not clairvoyant. Neither are most people involved or watching the footage. How is anyone supposed to know what anyone will do upon release down the road? Whatever the case may be, this family knew what this asshat was capable of, but would rather play the victim here than to cooperate and find the truth behind the matter. This whole scenario is just heartbreaking....and seems like it really could have been prevented possibly had he stayed behind bars. Possibly.
Whatever or whomever feels "brown" and is to blame for this happening......we still need to stop.ourselves and ask "How do I fix it? Me. The Individual.?". Personal accountability needs to come in to play again, and the need to aspire to achieve greater things seems to be lost nowadays. Everything seems confusing, including my own thoughts as to how we fix societal ills. It's pretty easy to become hypocritical when there isn't an answer in sight.
Personal accountability. That is where I am at right now. Those responsible need not blame it on anyone other than themselves.
