I wouldn't be surprised if the box was empty because whatever isn't meant to go in it doesn't exist yet, or something has to be put into it later at a very specific point. Maybe it's a vessel to hold all the darknesses?
Master of masters is obviously Pride/Superbia. His name is quite arrogant. But i what love about him is he uses other peoples ego instead of his ego to do his bidding. "May your heart be your guiding key" Ego right there. Pride the deadliest Sins of all.
"May your heart be your guiding key". I guess when you think about it, when you always rely on your sense of personal justice and assume that YOU are in the right, acting on your emotions alone and never logic or reasoning, and you refute the personal justice of others to enforce yours, that COULD be treated as Ego. It's brilliant in scope. ... And so the fandom moves a little closer in trying to figure out what this guy is really after.
Ventus was confirmed pure light and the master was hinted at being light in remind. Darkness called the master its old friend (vanitas and ven) and they both form the x blade. Vanitas relates to pride (the masters sin) I think the master is ven and vanitas or pure light and darkness joined. They could have grown and ended up in a time loop.
It could explain why Ava has seemed so... off in the newer updates on HKUX. If she had no heart as of now, her strange actions and her presumable relations to darkness might have a new layer.
The look on Aced's face at 10:40 was just...XD Then the Master of Masters repeats himself, and gets freaked out by Aced's outburst LOL "Speak up if you're listening! That was embarrassing for me!" ROFL! Rather than being sulky about not being chosen for the leader role, I think that Aced is more distressed at the fact of the Master leaving them more than anything. The other LOLzy moment was with Gula at 13:27. MoM has quite the humorous side. Definitely a character that is worthy of an Academy Award performance.
The box contains the Masters Heartless. When a Heartless and Nobody are slain, the original person they used to be is revived. He's using it as a way to revive himself in the present
Yeah because if he is strong like the organization 13 members, then he would look like himself as a nobody and won’t age. Then when his nobody and heartless (that’s in the box) are destroyed, he will be revived
Only Luxu knew what was really going down when the Master told him about his real plans. Of course at first Luxu could barely accept any of it as it was just insane to start with, but hundreds (thousands) of years later after many body jumping from one to the next all alone, he couldn’t care less as Xigbar.
The Master of Masters seems so burnt out by not being included in the Deadly Sins gang because the only one left is pride, and all the names are the first part of each sin's Latin translation, and pride in Latin is superbia. If we're following the naming conventions, the Master of Master's real name is either Sup, Super or Superb. I, for one, will refer to him as Sup until further information is provided.

Call me crazy, but hear me out. With all that talk of "fading" and "disappearing", his ability to see into the future, how nonchalant he is, the creation of dream and nightmare spirits as well as being able to create keyblades for others, I have my own personal theory. What if the Master of Masters is an avatar of Kingdom Hearts? In other words, Kingdom Hearts given flesh
I’ve also had this theory. It’s possible. He even low key compares himself to Kingdom hearts when he’s talking to ira “People believe the light that is kingdom hearts will be here forever, but if it were to DISAPPEAR, the world would be enveloped in darkness”
@@Z-A-C There's also his words regarding the purpose of Keyblades. "Oh, it's not for protecting Kingdom Hearts." As well as him giving his keyblade no name at all and his conversation with Young Xehanort in a cutscene in KH3. Why would YX be so shocked to hear his name unless it was a name that he wouldn't expect to hear from a *person* ?
"On that faded land a great war will transpire. Darkness will prevail and the light expire." I mean it did for a few seconds till sora rewrote the passage with the power of awakening.
3:30 that passage was the ending of kingdom hearts 3. So the book of prophecies ended there since light perished. They changed the future because of the dandelions. And so does that mean the book of prophecies changed since light prevails?
Unlikely. Xehanort was still wielding the no name so the Master of Masters would have seen the battle between Xehanort and Sora. And it’s obvious from the ending that Luxu got a lot of info the other didnt, probably a entirely different volume of the book.
@@thedeerking7220 Luxu didn't get a book whatsoever, the reason that he has more info than the others is simply because he knows what the Master's "Gazing Eye" actually is, while the others had no idea that he literally saw the future (hence why Ava and Ira kept thinking they could change it and why Gula thought he could actually find the traitor before they acted). Luxu knew Ava was the traitor the second she appeared to him above Daybreak Town, which is why he tells her about his role and the Master's intentions. Luxu might even know more than the Master, considering he was able to transfer his heart without a Keyblade, as he didn't have 1 for 100s-1000s of years after he passed it down, although the Master was able to keep his original form for that exact same amount of time without aging...
"The truth is what you see with your eyes, not what you hear." -Master of Masters, KH3 Remind Now we have a couple options to think about here. Is everything written in the Book of Prophesies true or did the Master of Masters write some garbage within it to throw his students off? Based on his eccentric personality, I can believe that he's willing to put in the time to do the later. Sadly we will not get this information yet until future installments establish who the Master of Master is and what he gains from all of this.
He was trying to see if he could turn everyone against eachother, and after seeing the darkness in their hearts, he decided that the whole organization was a failure. None of them turned down his offer to find a traitor. They also were more worried about their roles🙄
I have a slightly different opinion. In most mythologies, knowing the future is usually what causes it to happen. He gave them their roles and worded them in a way that would inevitably cause them to clash. Like what he told Aced. He let him believe that he was meant to take over when Ira strayed or failed in his role. He wanted this to happen, he set the stage and watched the show unfold
@@TVHead003THIS!!! I believe Sora isn't MoM due to not going with his character. Sora doesn't do that and even if he did like timeless river, he has swore a secret(albeit via goofy shutting him up) and other times before hand. Sora is the type of Guy who will do the most for his friends at the cost of his mental health. MoM is someone who uses future events and carefully placed wording to see the desire outcome he wanted.
So noctis became yozora and now is a future version of sora who is a past version of the Mom who is the real antagonist of the game who has like 120 versions of himself or something which most of'em lived inside his heart and got revived yeah noctis you silly goose Which mean yozora=noctis=Mom=sora=xion=roxas=ventus=vanitas (lmao)
Honestly I half expect that MoM is an alternate timeline Noctis, which Yozora also definitely is, as well as Yozora likely being an alternate Sora, and then these three just end up all being some variation of Sora. Because I know Nomura seems to love fucking with us.
Why does the MoM reminds me so much of Sora. I can totally imagine him being a grown up Sora with his still funny but somewhat dark personality due to everything he went through or is going to go through (in future kh games) as he grows up. Also talking about disappearing and what not. Which Sora did experience at one point. I'm not super informed with the whole kh plot so don't come at me with your kh facts. I'm just having fun here theorising. This makes sense to my limited knowledge.
Honestly I can't see him NOT being Sora at this point. Everything about him screams Sora and with how much Sora went through even before KH3, after KH3 he is bound to be affected by things and him becoming a bit... eccentric seems like a less alarming development for his character.
I have a feeling that whatever that box is, it’s BOUND to be opened inevitably. If not the foretellers themselves, then by any manner of good or bad guy. Pete and Maleficent WERE hunting it themselves. And going into wordplay here, the MoM explicitly states that “you”, or rather, “Luxu” was to never open the box. I’d take it as standing orders to ensure NONE are to open it as well, but with all things in this series, take that with a pinch of salt.
@@tahutheprotector6988 Well..having been able to see where the games have ended up, and hearing Master of Masters' theme from the OST, consider this (also spoilers, just in case!): MoM's theme is an insane melody; rapidly playing piano with arguably some terrifying strings playing, a collection of chaos if you will, almost as if the theme represents a character of a chaotic sort. It might just be me, but doesn't MoM seem like a character who is fairly insane? Like a man who knows too much, has seen so much, that such knowledge has driven him a bit crazy? A mind of discord given a theme of chaotic synergy, in a way it does make sense. And then, his theme plays only once in this 'movie': when he's with Luxu (who we know is Xigbar now), who acts almost the same as MoM does? Luxu also seems like someone who's sort of lost his mind as he fulfilled his role over the many MANY years; comparing how he acts here to how he's been acting onward, his personality has changed radically. From fairly straightforward and serious to much more carefree and flamboyant. He now has a personality similar to MoM now, almost as if MoM's theme has a connection between him and Luxu. This could all be a just a massive stretch, but maybe it'll make sense in some way!
I have to say, the Master of Masters saying to not to focus on preventing the war, but focusing onwhat comes next is rather refreshing in JRPG terms. Pretty much ALL JPRGs is about preventing the prophecy of the end of the world, but he just saying "Ah, that! Don't worry about it, let's it happen and focus onf the aftermath."
It's an interesting contrast to the classic Greek tragedy of trying to prevent your fate. If you try, you'll either fail or even CAUSE it. So instead, he's focusing on the aftermath. *How things can get fixed after the prophecised fate.*
This Master of Masters is a complete mystery. He seems to have a good heart, but has some dark ulterior motives behind everything. He acts like a goofball, but speaks in wisdom and humor. I wonder what he’s after?

@ I wish we just got the jp version with accurate subtitles. It's feels like we get worse version every game but we shouldn't let this get us down since we can look up the differences in this internet era and not let this ruin our prespective of the story.
If this guy ends up being Demyx, I am going to be genuinely upset. Not only does he joke around in a different way than Demyx AND actually is more intelligent than he lets on (unlike Demyx), but I also just want a new character to be the mastermind. Nomura seems to like the notion of keeping a lot of the old Org. Members. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, I actually enjoy what he's doing with them so far, but I just want a new big bad for a new saga. Not some familiar face that was "secretly planning something the whole time *wink, wink*". Anybody else feel me?
Good news, it seems very likely that MoM and Demyx are two different people. They released a bunch of short stories for each character and Demyx’ story actually talks about MoM in his like he’s met him before, but they’re both defined as separate people. Unless they do time travel or something to make MoM a separate version of Demyx, I don’t think they’re the same guy. Also crossing my fingers MoM is someone new under the hood.
What if demyx is the master of master's nobody? Just think we all know that Roxes is sora's nobody and xemnas is xehanort's nobody and namine is kairi's nobody
For those of you saying that the Master is future Sora or future Luxu, I think I’ve thought of something……. What if both are right? What happened with Xehanort and Terra, what if the same thing happened, like Luxu leaving Xigbars body and trying to hijack Soras. And that body is the Master of Masters?!?! Honestly this theory terrifies me but it was the best one I could come up with.
That is a interesting theory. And from what we already know with Terras body, his voice changed when xehanort took control. If being both right, that is both interesting, but scary.
Notice how out of all his apprentices, he is completely serious with Ava. All the others, he maintains a sense of humour and mystery. But with Ava, he keeps a consistent tone throughtout their meeting.
Ava had the most important role. All the others had roles that didn't mean much except for causing friction and distrust. Ava had to create the dandelions who would leave the world when the Keyblade War begin, to ensure the light wouldn't expire. Her failing means the world ended so he needed to be strait forward and direct in order for her to remained focuses and grasp how serious it was.
@@Sephiroth766 I think the others were meant to serve as distractions to the darkness, so he needed Ava to keep a low profile and avoid drawing attention to herself. She needed to know that he was serious and that her role was the most important to securing a better future,
Probably a greater-scope villain first, with Luxu and the four Foretellers being the primary big bads for the next set of games in this saga. Then, he takes up the center stage as the ultimate big bad in the last installment of the saga.
But like like he does care about the world thought on what comes after so yeah wait😨 I just had a crazy thought if you guys didn't know theirs a glitch with the picture and young xehanort when he uses his armor he had the same eye as master of masters what if it isn't a glitch and he time traveled to the past and became the master of masters mind blown😱
Listening to Master of Masters voice and mannerisms always reminds me of a less sociopathic Handsome Jack. Lol just realized it's the same voice actor as Rhys from Tales from the Borderlands.
i hope the master of masters is someone we dont know yet. because we know luxu, yet his voice is totally different. luxu and xigbar/braig dont sound similar in any way i think the MoM has an amazing voice and i would hate for them to change it later on because its a char we know alrdy. and then ofc... how did sora come across to say the line "may your heart be your guiding key" that is weird
Sora came across it because Master Yen Sid said the line when he got his new attire after the Olympus trip. He just doesn't know the significance of it... yet.
10:34 One thing I don't see people mention is the MoM's reaction to what Aced said. He tenses up, as if the thought of him not being around for his pupils is something he genuinely doesn't like the idea of.
Just noticed that the Master of Masters seems to clasp his tighter when Aced starts to get emotional about the Master no longer teaching him and the other foretellers. Indicating that he actually does care for his students or is getting emotionally affected by having to leave and has just been trying to pretend that he's been fine. It's clear from how the foretellers act that the Master of Masters hasn't always acted like this, at least not to this agree. I find that interesting, especially how in the Japanese version Ira and Aced are called little childish nicknames by MoM that seem to indicate that MoM might have actually raised them.
I mean Chirithy said that the Master of Masters gave the Foretellers their new names, so he probably took them in from an early enough age that they grew up with one another. So he probably raised them all, although he doesn't seem to be that much older than them himself.
Now that reincarnation is a thing in kingdom hearts, I DEFINITELY think that kairi is a reincarnation of ava. Sora might be a reincarnation of the MoM as well

I guess when you think about it, when you always rely on your sense of personal justice and assume that YOU are in the right, acting on your emotions alone and never logic or reasoning, and you refute the personal justice of others to enforce yours, that COULD be treated as Ego. All the apprentices looked up to their master, and it’s shocking knowing he raised them to be vessels without knowing.
Only Luxu knew what was really going down when the Master told him about his real plans.

"The truth is what you see with your eyes, not what you hear."
-Master of Masters, KH3 Remind
Now we have a couple options to think about here.
Mom is that you
Me, sees this comment and all it’s replies: Oh yeah, it’s all coming together

@@tahutheprotector6988 Well..having been able to see where the games have ended up, and hearing Master of Masters' theme from the OST, consider this (also spoilers, just in case!):
MoM's theme is an insane melody; rapidly playing piano with arguably some terrifying strings playing, a collection of chaos if you will, almost as if the theme represents a character of a chaotic sort.

This guy is basically the Bill Cipher of Kingdom Hearts.

Ava had the most important role. All the others had roles that didn't mean much except for causing friction and distrust. Ava had to create the dandelions who would leave the world when the Keyblade War begin, to ensure the light wouldn't expire.
He may be an evil bastard (who knows at this point)- but I like the man's voice. His goofiness reminds me of Tobi from Naruto Shippuden.
