OK, just to point this out real quick: There will be no more animated Epithet Erased. Jello, the creator of Epithet Erased, has gone on record multiple times repeating this. Season 1 did cost him a fortune and was so much work for him that he literally hurt his hands so badly that he could barely use them for like half a year i think. Still, the audiobook (as well as the actual book) is great and everyone who likes the show is gonna like the (audio)book. :)

@@IronDinothere will be more books/audiobooks that are kind of in-limbo (they’re trying to get a publisher that isn’t themselves or a vanity press, which requires them to write and then hammer out an adaptation of the series, then go through many more editors) and even that won’t start until they finish making the published TTRPG system (which will be the “canon” one reflecting the series, as opposed to the more hastily thrown together Anime Campaign system) They have made a few UA-cam shorts, and done some collaboration-adjacent things with fan animations, but it seems like we’re getting a game system and setting guide, then book adaptations of the show, then another book of the first book, and then the rest of the series. Which seems like it might take a while? (I think that after all that Jello should move to Canada and remake the series a third/fourth (even the OG Epithet Erased series and Prison of Plastic is an adaptation of the Anime Campaign roleplaying game- and multiple Epithets were changed or even removed in the adaptation) time with a semi-educational bent incorporating Indigenous and French words as well. I guess that might be more of a licensing thing I don’t know. I just think Epithet Erased lends itself to edutainment combined with long form, serialized storytelling, and a respect for its audience. It could be done live action with cheap CGI)

21:57 The man speaking over the walkie talkie is called *Eros.* Epithet Erased is actually based on a series of tabletop campaigns using a system made by *Jello* called *Anime Campaign.* Its not a 1:1 adaptation but a lot of elements originate from it. Eros was omitted from Epithet Erased mainly because of his epithet being lets just say... Unsuitable. *(His epithet is 'Nude')* On top of that, he was also not story relevant enough to make the cut, just like good ol' *Dan Gansley* who almost made it into the scripts. Also for the sake of spoilers and to keep Jello away from my doorstep, I advise to avoid looking for anything related to Anime Campaign (aside from the 2 sessions of it posted on Jello's channel, but read the book before doing so as there's some spoilers to it in there.)

And in the episode, at 39:00 , we can see that she is a part of an organisation, same logo as pikachu's boss's profile picture. :D

Epithets can be “inscribed” into an object after it has been made, and I think generally are less powerful than direct exposure? So I think that some time in the last fifty years Copycat the Not!AFO (word of god says that the Arsene Amulet was made using the “Copycat” Epithet) decided to ______ or something.
