GUYS please tell me the podcast isn't ending for good... i was too late to hear the news. I've been watching since I was 14 years old in 2016. I remember the first one I watched being the NWA episodes lol. I have so many good memories, the Life of Pablo review was so fun and whimsical. You showed me Nicole Dollanganger. I remember your first Q&A and how excited I was. I remember the Kendrick reviews dropping and I was a HUGE Kendrick fan back then. I remember watching you guys all the time throughout high school and tbh it was like a comfort show, especially when I was driving or hiding in my room after a fight with either my mom or my ex. I listened to it religiously in 2020 during the pandemic and nearly every single day when I was working for a pool maintenance company (6 days a week nearly 10hrs a day in the summer heat). It really got me through some tough times, made me laugh and made me excited about music. I always dreamed of making an album that you guys would give a 5/5 when I was a kid. I'm 22 now but I will still always be a fan and l always watch old and new episodes to this day. I really hope I can request an album in the future one day, even if it's a long time. I know you guys have other stuff going on and I respect that but this is my favorite podcast of all time I feel like it is nostalgic for me to check in with you guys. My big sister got me into Rap Critic and Mues videos back in the day, and then I found this. ANYWAYS whatever you do I hope it makes you happy and feel accomplished! I will miss the podcast forever.

I will be sad to see the podcast go, but it did inspire me to finally start doing unedited reviews on my channel ❤ might try editing and greenscreen level backdrops in future but its really freeing and fun and hope to get friends or loved ones to join in future

Not to be that kind of fan, but BRASS is one of those albums that you kinda need to be invested in where woods and Moor Mother are coming from to "get it." It's probably the most Afrocentric rap album I've heard, not in the fake hotep 90s sense of the term but in how densely referential it is to that history and identity and relating it to the modern struggle without becoming preachy. Not gonna lie, I had to look up a fair amount of these lyrics, but that only deepened my fascination with it more.
And you're right, neither of these artists are really the sort to meet their audience halfway with any of their projects, which can make them pretty hard to follow. But I found BRASS's very oblique lyricism and dark, murky atmosphere really compelling like few other rap albums I'd heard at the time. I spun it once a day for close to 2 weeks and it never once got old for me, but maybe I'm just weird like that.
That said, I'm really glad you highlighted "Giraffe Hunts." That might be my favorite on the album. It jumps around between bits of LSD imagery, but the events it drew the most reference to were the Belgian genocide in the Congo and other 19th century atrocities like hunting buffalo to near-extinction as part of manifest destiny.
tl;dr Didn't mean to write an essay. Appreciate that you both put in your honest thoughts, just wanted to offer some perspective.

cosigned. BRASS is one my favorite albums ever (both billy woods and Moor Mother being highly influential artists to me).

Hi. A ton of the Goin Off episodes aren't available on spotify right now. The page for "Goin Off Podcast" is still there, but that stops at episode 292. The very newest ones are on the "Review Anew " page on spotify, but the rest aren't there. They used to be on a third page which was just called "Goin Off", and that's not on Spotify anymore. Are those episode after 292 going to be available on Spotify again?

We had an issue where Spotify ripped all our episodes off of their platform for reasons that were really poorly explained, so we just said eff it, we're putting the new ones on my feed for now.
