Kavinsky - Nightcall | Cover by Judy North

Many years ago my father recommended me Drive movie. I remember we watched it together and when "Kavinsky - Nightcall" played at the beginning of the film, with Ryan Gosling driving through the night and showing the scorpion on his jacket as the pink letters flashed, an incredible feeling ran through our bodies. From that day on, that song was on my list of favourite songs.
As for the production, it was hard to find the robotic voice. Dario and I spent hours in his studio trying to find the right effect. In the end, we discovered the magic vocoder that could literally transform my voice into a robotic voice. And yes, all the voices are mine.
I created the artwork by overlaying two photos. The lyrics and image are meant to give that futuristic/electro-pop feel.
I'm really proud of the result.
From here to the stars, to the universe.
