Maybe everyone could check the negative comments for a minute and realize that this show was to raise much needed money for the drummers wife’s health?!? Holy Crap... Kiss this and Ace that! Great band then and now this is probably just a one off. And if anyone wants to talk about their music, many parallels to Kix. One hit wonder, great rythem section, two singers who sound the same, duel guitar attack etc. it’s only Music for a great cause!
Drove a couple hundred miles with my buddy to see them in 85 because in the back of Hit Parader it said they were playing Panama City Beach Florida. Got to the venue and it was a lounge act with the same name. Oh well, good times. Autoblast sounds great. Thanks for posting!
When I watch this video my memory seriously blazes with various tastes, sights and odors.... Going to various rock shows in the early 80's I found myself in crowds with this band playing several times. I was like "what, Black N blue again? LOL well it could be worse". And yes sometimes it was much worse. Black N Blue had a good thing going for quite a while. I saw them in some small places and then opening for Aerosmith at the Greek Theater in L.A. and Heart at Universal Amp... At that point, I guess they made it and I was very HAPPY for them!!! Anyway I came across this video just now and have to share. Memories, tastes, sights and yes even odors are coming to me as I watch...... Black N Blue ROCK!
ROCK STARS seam to have this untouchable image but JAIME is REAL. His wife is cool as fuck.. she messages me back on facebook. No other Star would do that..
shit this brings back some amazing memories for me. /im a 55year old irishman who lived in portland back in the day. Used to see black and blue play in clubs and stuff.
Cool vid !...sounds like a fun set ! fun rock show /fundraiser... yeah! ....from Michael T Wyman and 99 ..... Culver City/Hollywood CA ...some LA fans of Black and Blue, Tommy and Jaime .....2018
Lance E Choices are a BIG part of it. If Tommy didn’t basically become Genes assistant which lead him to being the Kiss road manager he wouldn’t be where he is. If Eric didn’t ditch the Badlands gig ......which at the time had all the ingredients of being huge .....for Kiss. Choices.
@@Assimilator702 Remember, Eric went from Badlands to Alice Cooper. But because he played on Paul Stanley's solo tour of clubs because he was free while Badlands waited for their album to come out, they remembered him, and tried him out as a fill-in for Eric Carr (they did try others, like Aynsley Dunbar and supposedly, Deen Castronovo--gotta check into that one), then when Carr died, he was asked to stay on full-time, obviously.
I got to see Black & Blue in 1985, opening for Night Ranger. I remember thinking that they were good enough to make it big. Worked out for at least one of them. 😉
Sounds better than 97% of reunion or tribute bands out there...i spent my younger years blasting there 2nd album out of the various boom boxes i owned. Great job BNB
Anyone notice Tommy playing a Paul Stanley Silvertone Sovereign guitar at around the 17min mark? Maybe Paul loaned him one for the gig lol. Gotta love Tommy and Black N Blue!! Just noticed it was auctioned off for the event. Should have kept watching till that point before commenting lol
HUH????!!! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY???? CANT READ IT !!! ITS IN ESPANO !! - SPANISH !!! TRY WRITTING IN ENGLISH PLEASE !!! THANK YOU !!! GRACIAS !!!
i would like to hereby apologize to the lead singer of Black and Blue for being drunk and stupid at one of their gigs back in the day at a place called "the pidgeon toed orange peel" venue in hillsdale, Oregon in i think it was 1979 or 80.......i threw up all over the lead singers shoes and although he wanted to kill me he kept his cool! lol sorry man! btw im clean and sober almost 30 years now.....lolol
How many time u seen or heard someone say thayer or black n blue inspired them to learn guitar , how many memorably rifts have thayer came up with, that aces cred
Actually, when Black N Blue were playing the Hollywood circuit, they were thee band and everyone wanted to be them. So, chances are there's a few. Also, Ace hasn't written a memorable solo in decades, which really sucks. It used to be his thing.
Great event for Annette and Pete.......I love them all, But their heart just isn't in it anymore...... .'84 - '88 Lightning In A Bottle.....A great band indeed!
Could you trim off the first 4 minutes where nothing is happening, before posting next time please? And yes I heard the stupid drunk woman behind you. That didn't make the 4 minutes worth it.
Pretty soon, Gene will be singing "Christine Sixty," and even then, that will be considered robbing the cradle for him. They'll have to change several of their songs: “Strutter” will become “Walker”, because they’ll each need one to get on stage. “Shock Me” will become “Defibrillate Me.” “Calling Doctor Love” will become “Call The Doctor, Love.” “Nothin’ To Lose” will become “Nothin’ To Lose (Except My Life).” Feel free to provide additional suggestions.
the son and imitador of ace frehley in his solo with kiss and he stole the character legally by decision of kiss is better to return with his old group jajajaajaajajaja. lie but it hurts
Still sound amazing after all these years!
Great job guys. One of my favorite bands of all time.
I bought their first album on vinyl in 1984 and I have never seen them and I lost track of them. These guys rock and I love this. 🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟🤟
Proof right here that a great under rated band still had the goods to rise to the top. Man this is sooooo good
How incredibly satisfying to see Tommy playing with BNB! So nice to see after all these years.
Thanks for sharing. Wish I'd known about this gig, would have travelled for it.
I didn’t know about it either until last night. Although it would have been a HUGE hike for me
Always loved his voice. The Warrant album he songs on is my favorite one (Born Again)
I was there! Fun night.
Tommy is a stand up dude!
Also cool to see the legends of KGON Portland.

Funny story, although I’m sure it wasn’t funny at the time!

So you were high when you wrote this?😂
I loved Black N Blue when I was younger.
I met Jamie St. James on a rock cruise back in 2013. Super-nice guy. Like he doesn't realize how cool he is, if that makes any sense.
ROCK STARS seam to have this untouchable image but JAIME is REAL. His wife is cool as fuck.. she messages me back on facebook. No other Star would do that..
Thanks for posting. Now they have to call up Ray and have a MovieStar reunion show. I'd come back to PDX for that.
EJ Albright Echo that Loved By Millions...
Nice one - Cheers for sharing
Sounding good! I'd to hear something new again similar to their first release.
Just awesome great to see Tommy back and Jamie sounding just as good as he did in the good old days, thanks for uploading this
Man this was a great gig. I have their cassette from 1984 . They should have played 'hold on to 18'.
I think Tommy should devote all his time to this.
Give up playing infront of tens of thousands and making six figures? Ahhhhaaaaaaaa!
When money arrives you just become a lazy musician and stops to care, every band-musician that hits nationwide popularity instantly gets mediocre.
Jaime looks like a 55 year old lesbian.
@@petera.michaelsen4657 That's a jaded look. KISS has never been that way.
I use to beat Tommy up in Grammar school & take his lunch money !
I'll be there for you... why did you not play it .. loved that in the hey day ...
♥️ BNB , thanks for uploading !
I never really knew Black and Blue, but I like what I'm hearing.
I will. Thanks!
Their second album was their best.
I want it all... I want it now.....

Tommy and Eric are the 2 smartest guys from the 80’s scene. Most are barely scraping by or at least working regular jobs.
Hard work and talent. Nothing more or less.

ja acompanhava a banda desde do começo dela amei ver todos juntos
Amazing!! 😍
Kick ass!!!
Black n Blue. A band that was "Loved By Millions". Right now Thayer is like, "Okay, this guy knows us".
This band had potential. Nasty Nasty was a good album. They went down fast after that. Thanks Gene Simmons
Gene Simmons helped write and produce Nasty Nasty.
@SabuPtolemy eh in heat is my favorite
Ace es tiempo que regrese a kiss

I wish I'd have known!!!!
Ok I’ll refrain from negative comments
Tommy has always been a great guitarist and this was for a great fuckin cause/reason. But to stir the pot he ain’t no fuckin space man

acxtually it might have been 82 or 3
good for you man one day at a time keep coming back rock on brother.
thats rock n roll my brotha!!!!
Never be sorry. Once somebody threw up on my shoes at a Rock gig, I just bought him another drink and sent him on his way.
That venue was named after the club in the Clint Eastwood film COOGAN'S BLUFF.
That was awesome! I love that set list! I forgot how much Violent Kid rocked!
THIS IS THE TOMMY´S RIGHT BAND! ACE WELCOME BACK!
Kid comes Home....
Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley missed the show they were haggling the price at the front door for the charity show !
NO "HOLD ON TO 18?!!! WTF?!!! FAIL!!!!
Where's Woop?
See, see, see. I told you. Look Tommy needs a job. By 2019 KISS will no longer need him. You know why. Ace is back and I told you so!!!!!
One can only hope
Nobody gives a fuck about a last Kiss tour unless Ace is there
I'm a huge kiss fan...trust me, we don't give a fuck unless it's Ace and Eric S.
PLANET RANDY the trademark is not for any particular year.
To: Jakeb Reel
You said it pal. We want Ace back!!! AMEN, brother!
Anyone know the price of the guitar auctioned in stores?

I feel sorry for the dude who lost $2800 over a guitar that sounded nothing compared to Tommy’s Les Paul.
He’s impersonating himself here, that must feel weird.
Tommy is always himself

Not in kiss ‼️
That's so true and so funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Great event for Annette and Pete.......I love them all, But their heart just isn't in it anymore......
.'84 - '88 Lightning In A Bottle.....A great band indeed!
Considering what the show was for, their heart was most definitely in it.
Brandon kicks azz on guitar, hes more than metal
ЯЩМ!!!ZOV
Tommy realized he's probably out of kiss next year
Maybe they can open for Kiss on the next reunion tour
You're going to be let down again. It ain't happening.
Tommy is not out of Kiss. The end of the road tour is amazing
Some of these guys have not aged well!
I'm sorry did you not look in the mirror? 🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️‼️
Thats not ace damnit...
Ace was never in BNB
Could you trim off the first 4 minutes where nothing is happening, before posting next time please?
And yes I heard the stupid drunk woman behind you. That didn't make the 4 minutes worth it.
USSR!!!
Who would want to be in Kiss now anyway? Geriatric patients.
Yeah, tell that to the Stones and the Who.

LiberalsArePoop you’re a special kind of douchebag huh
Tommy looking for a new job??? Lol
Scott Roy you mean his job pre kiss...
SplitVelvet2012 Tommy is alright... Just not Ace! Lol
It is because Tommy is not like Ace that he's in the band.
Tommy do us a favour just stay there and don't bother kiss
The singer kind of sounds a little like Paul Stanley.
Please put the crack pipe down. Sounds NOTHING like Paul.
Well this is out of the way. Now he can go back to the kiss tribute band and continue to rip of aces cred
The last thing Ace has is credibility. HA HA HA!!
the son and imitador of ace frehley in his solo with kiss and he stole the character legally by decision of kiss is better to return with his old group jajajaajaajajaja. lie but it hurts
The singer is terrible...
So are you , coming here just to be a P.O.S
