Yant is absolutely incredible. But as you demonstrate well here, it's really hard to photograph.
I'd go for textures and details or weather and light. Good luck!
Definitely get a low shot with that orangey scaley rock in the foreground and then make the second photo with it centre stage

So after all that extensive back and forth testing with films and developers what films and chems do you use today
so the left shot is a vista, orange rock and blue sky, and the right shot is a similar vista but has a single plant close up in the foreground like 10:25, but everything in focus foreground and background. So two very similar shots just the right one also has the close foreground plant.
How about macro of those Amazing textures?
The place and weather shoot for a medium format!?
I realize this is pretty much impossible since you are in the Saint George area but that rock would really pop if it was wet. so… if you have a great rainstorm wouldn't that be great for saturated color of the slick rock.
