Wynnewood, OK Multi-Vortex Tornado - 5/19/2010

This is my footage of the incredible multi-vortex tornado (with attendant satellite) that occurred southwest of Wynnewood, OK on 5/19/2010. Myself and fellow Colorado chaser Eric Treece filmed the rapidly rotating mesocyclone until it was practically on top of us before bolting east and south to this hill and started filming just before the tornado formed approximately 3/4 of a mile to our north. The approximate time of the footage was 8:35-8:40 p.m. CDT, located approximately 4 miles southwest of Wynnewood, OK; direction of view north/northeast. If you listen closely, you can clearly hear the 'waterfall' sound of the tornado. This is the first tornado I ever filmed with my Sony NX5U NXCAM, and as you can see, the video quality is stunning.

"Vortex" is singular; the plural is "vortices." ("Multiple-vortex" is still acceptable as an adjective however.)
Usually people use the correct words, but in a situation where they are referring to the plural "vortices" and then want to revert to the singular, they end up saying "vortice" (simply taking the "s" off "vortices," a nonsense word) instead of "vortex."
They seem to experience a brain fart when going backward. Not sure why so many people do it, but you'll hear it a lot in these videos. It's a curious phenomenon.
