- Let's have a good ol' fashioned Anti-haul! Today we're unpacking why I didn't buy these bags. This list includes some fabulous bags from Tod's, Coach, Hermes, Ralph Lauren and more! I guess nothing has really jumped out at me these past few weeks. However, I'm still on the hunt for another fabulous Ralph Lauren Ricky to add to my collection.

This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. Aside from those, I'd love to add a few more Fendi Peekaboo bags to my collection along with a Fendi Baguette. Make sure you subscribe to see what I buy this year!

Hi Caleb! The thing to remember about Hermes in particular is that the same bag in a different leather will look quite different and also weigh more/less. I have the Trim in different leathers and the same size bag looks way smaller in Ever color than it does in Clemence and it weighs less as well. I’d go try on a few Lindys before deciding! 😊

During the Pandemic, at 2:00 am, I actually negotiated for a vintage Birkin 40. The bag was over 50 yrs old. I was knocked off my feet when the bag arrived. The dust bag was included. Anyway....I will not be purchasing another handbag anytime soon😂😂

I think there's a "Plank of Wood" built into the bottom of the bag... I sold my Vintage HAC 55 Birkin, several years ago. It was not practical and weighed a TON🤣 I do like the Hermès Kelly....🥰 It's Sleek and not Heavy....👍

I recently bought my B35 and having wanted one for many years and finally having it, I believe my purchasing days are over. Obtaining it is like the final chapter. I’m very content with my collection and it’s pretty well rounded. I have a few that I would particularly with gladly and maybe I will someday.
I think I might be in the same boat- after I got my Kelly and my Birkin, I'm much more selective and don't feel like I need anything else in my collection. That could all change, but for now I feel satisfied.

I honestly think that you made the right decision deciding against the Hermes Lindy. For me, a scratch on the back can be lived with for a good price or a rare item. A scratch on the front is an issue. Thank you for the video!!

Caleb, I almost bought that Ricky 33 on TRR too! Gorgeous-- and such a good price. I talked myself out of it because my lifestyle is just not 'clean' enough to carry a cream canvas bag without being precious and paranoid... but, oh, I had horrible (non)buyer's remorse for about a week afterwards. The Ricky 33 is such a great bag. It's definitely one of my favorites to wear.

You’re not alone! I have been feeling the same for quite some time now. I don’t think it’s the infamous purse peace, because I’m still looking, waiting for a short time and then failing to pull the trigger. I want a Ricky bag but haven’t found the right one yet. I thought I wanted the tabby cargo, until I saw the 26 rogue. Fell out of love with that once I saw your video and a few others. Realized it’s not the right bag for me. I’ve also fallen for the demellier medium tote, I think it’s called the New Yorker. There isn’t any high ticket bag I’m even considering, so in other words the bags that have caught my attention have all been doable, I’m just not doing it😊. I am at a loss to explain why, even to myself. So no, Caleb, you’re not alone ❤️
Hey Sandy! Yeah, it's definitely not Purse Peace- I think it's just Bag Boredom? Haha, nothing new is really jumping out at me and saying "buy me!". I'm glad I'm not alone, I thought something was wrong with me! haha!
The struggle is real... I can only imagine the myriad of conversations in your head.🤔😭😆 I saw the suede E-W Rogue in person and I wasn't too much a fan. I felt the shoulder straps were always in the way in the side pockets (yes, you could remove them but I would def lose them). The Lindy was cute but not with that scratch on the front. Didn't know it was so heavy, but maybe another leather would be lighter. The Ricky 33 would have been a vibe but maybe it was a sign to wait for the alligator Ricky to come along (I'm sorry, should I "hold my tone?"😂😂😂). Anyway, TFS! 😊
It's so real! haha! Yeah, everyone I've talked to about the suede Rogue has said they were unimpressed- such a shame! It could have been a great bag! I think I want to try the Lindy in a Swift, that might be better! Hahaha! Hold your tone! haha! 🤣
Hi Caleb! I really wanted the Coach Python Idol until I saw it in the boutique. Every single scale on the curve of the flap was lifting. Everyone told me this was normal and the scales wouldn't shed. I could just see it snagging fabrics and sweaters.
That's so frustrating! The python idol was on y wishlist too- but I never got to see it IRL.
I feel an alligator 🐊 Ricky is in your future 💚 I have one more Murakami on my wishlist but they either want too much for it or I’m not ready financially for it, I don’t want to spend over 2 grand, I want the Neverfull Moca Hands PM, the smallest size and it has to have the luggage tag. I’ve decided to wait til next year, I’ve bought a lot this year and I want to save for a preloved Picotin, a Calvi duo new, this is my wishlist for next year. I feel I’m pretty much done collecting Y2K LV after the Hands Neverful, going to focus on Hermes next, I want shoes, jewelry, slg’s, etc. 🥰

I am taking a pause right now because I had some bad luck on the preloved market. I purchased one bag that was quite a bit darker than I expected and another with unspecified damage. Both were returned…..which was a big letdown. I am currently in a period of regrouping and evaluating/using my current collection. Hoping to try again later in the year.

I love the thought process and your thoughts! The resale on Tod’s is terrible…. If you pop on The RealReal, it’s sad. Obviously buy what you love but for 2k it’s a tough pill to swallow. I agree with you pumping the breaks.

I bought so many bags this year. 😆 And I have so many more to get. Hahaha! Oh, by the way, the python is actually a lot of work to take care of. You have to condition it every few months, or else the scales curl and flake off. 😅

The more we have, the harder it is to find a new niche. I find many bags I gravitate to these days will compete with similar styles of bags I already own.

Also, I have been stalking the Polo Ralph Lauren large ID shoulder bag in tan for months now hoping it will go on sale, because apparently it went 40% off last Black Friday. Not sure how much longer I can hold out though...
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for a good sale! Maybe they'll do one is September for Labor Day?

There isn't anything interesting enough. I'm over the quilted coach tabby, tory burch is a bit sleepy right now, so I just got a coach vanity bag for fun and a dopel of the laura piana, but its just a pocket crossbody I got a crossbody dooney and coin purse to include in my collection .
