Hey Al . Pull the cluster ,radio climate control, bcm All of the modules in the dash and steering column and pressure wash the dash from the bottom up . Yes wet the hell out of everything " Al that fuse box is the same as a in the regular dts. You can use the seat from that and the harnesses and fuse box . All random modules can be used too , I love these videos basically what I do at work everyday 💯. Great job al
Hey big Al, what a treat seeing you back again! Kind of a coincidence today the same day you posted this Anthony and specialty motorcars posted a coach builders Cadillac!
thats a great car Al. it changes the whole look of the car with the special build and the 4 door hardtop look. I just watched Anthony's video with his 2 door convertible.
I have this same exact car in mint condition sitting in my warehouse. It’s to bad you’re so far away. (I’m in pa) I have a dts with passenger side damage.
Not watched your vids for a while and don’t know why - love this channel! I love your eclectic taste - like mine. I work for Copart here in the UK, don’t do that many flood damaged cars especially as we don’t have hurricanes as such. Great video, really love the DTS. Seen a few RHD ones here.
I just picked up kind of a unicorn that nobody talks about...a 2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition with the optional brush guard on the front. Trying to track down an oem bose cd player drive that works. Bought a radio from an 01 chevy but the cd drive connector was completely different. And i want my cd player. Also ive seen that car before here in ohio. Many times.
I think it will clean up nicely for you. If looking for a parts car, you might expand your search to the next state as you might find one for a good price with no flood damage. The local junkyards in my neck of the woods crush a lot of those DTS as they get a lot of them in during the course of the year (my state seems to be ground zero for Caddy DTS (especially beige ones). My favorite Deville era was the 1994-1999 era. Of course i might be biased as I had a 1995 with the 4.9l V8 (last year for the good and reliable 4.9l V8) and loved the car. That AC was so cold that you needed a winter coat if you had it up full blast.
Ive got a 2006 coachbuilders dts convertible in the same color combination. Mine is a loaded performance model with the center console. Gorgeous car. Im interested to see the outcome.
When big al showed the brown water at around 16:12 an unskipable commercial came on and it was a Starbucks caramel tea coffee thing looked exactly like the water in the car I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself
Good morning, I live in Miami Florida and just purchased a 2000 LeSabre was wondering if you could give me any advice I need to replace the brake line from master cylinder to abs
Love the c6 vett depending on what part of the world you come from I come from Ontario Canada I've seen a lot of 90s General Motors all the way up to the early 2000's falling apart on interior I've seen Escalades from 04 seats are completely shot to hell dashboards are being held on by zip ties
I am seeing a lot of cars from the recent rain floods in Miami popping up on IAAI. Those are freshwater-may be some decent stuff. I don't have time for the project I have now lol.
It can be saved if you have enough devotion. I saved our CRV which I know doesn't have as many electronics. But our CRV was flooded up to the top steering column. just below the cluster. Just as bad or worse than this Do yourself a favor swap the wiring harnesses. You'll thank me later. When things work then start acting screwy later. Yeah you'll thank me later LOL! Be prepared to replace any module and anything electronic (motors, wiring, modules, actuators, Switches,Fuse boxes ETC) that got wet. Even after that you'll replace wheel bearings sooner or later. The salt gets them. It's not bad when you have all the parts from a parts car. We've been driving ours since 2018 when I rebuilt it from Hurricane Florence. Good luck on it! Keeping an eye out for the next one.
Does that Cadillac 4 door convertible runs?🤔 But other than that I would like to see that Cadillac restored and running and driving again because that's a nice Caddy Convertible.😊
Shame how Cadillac DTS Coachbuilt Edition was a flood car that water line is higher than I thought I like Big Al how u strip whole interior cause takes alot go back in but u going find wreck one with full interior anyways.
Looks like a cool pick up, the convertible part is a cool conversion
Thanks TK!

😂 they had the water line low on your parts car!

This is going to be a really cool rebuild. Definitely will enjoy this series. Keep it up, Al.

Thank you but I already bought a parts car!
I really want one of those custom convertible caddies!!
😎
I always learn something from your videos man. Super excited for this project!
Idea on the convertible top, where the bad spot is, if you can get to the backside of it, try and put a patch there, so the damage won't spread.
Wow Al. A big job. I look forward to Part 2

It was obviously John Cena's car by the front plate

I just got a 2006 DTS Performance with 198k yesterday and I’m already in love

Good to see you back I was wondering about You Big Al.
Thank you for sharing and your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Al
Nice upgrade! I like the same seating setup on this just like the old one too.
That fork driver, WOW the precision
Hey AL! Was just wondering why no posts for awhile, so glad to see this.
COOL car, and will be watching for further progress!
Been busy with the farm and working on the cars!
Big Al, would you ever do a Q & A video for us? As in, give us an email address to send questions to and you answer them in a video?
Sure
take a shot everytime he says coach builders limited lol great to see you back al
Good job cleaning the Caddy special car i never Saw One like it before can't wait for the Next video congrats big AL 👍😎

Very easy what do you need to know?

@@Maxx_bulls bleed from the passenger rear caliper to the driver rear, then passenger front then driver front.

Definitely!
Another solid win! Good one! You’ll find the parts!
My goodness Al you've bitten off a big one with this Caddy, I agree tho just wait for a damaged one to come along for the interior/electrical stuff

I am seeing a lot of cars from the recent rain floods in Miami popping up on IAAI. Those are freshwater-may be some decent stuff. I don't have time for the project I have now lol.
I need to take a look at those
I've rode in both a Venture and a HHR and yeah they both rattled like no tomorrow, it was crazy how terrible the interior quality was
This is the first one I've said to myself "hmmm I don't know about that one, man." lol
Whoever is reading this, I hope this day will be a great day.
IAA New Hampshire , has a DTS
Already bought a parts car!
Just got off a 12 shift as a FedEx driver, dead tired but have to watch lmao 😅
Hey Big Al, you need to head north to Michigan to get one of 8-mile editons
Make sure you check the rear end . It probably has water in it too.
Can’t wait to see more of this

Al I bet you spend a small fortune in Rust inhibitor 😅
It was a Ohio car so it already had a start on rusting I’m sure.
