    Hello Dr. Carlin !
I LOVE your subtle humour, it is often there in your videos even though investing is serious business, I like the way your personality spice up your videos without compromising the content.
Congratulations on your move and hope you strike the right balance for your research platform in 2023 !

I like summaries of good books because you learn more than simply talking about stocks, which by the way makes you overthink and then trade more (always bad that). Updates on valuation risk/rewards are also very useful, but I'm glad you're talking about books. Thank you very much, Sven!

Thank you for this great summary of this chapter and how it applies to us today. This chapter is so relevant and hard hitting.
The issues Klarman discusses are inherent in the stock market and capitalism. But they got even worse for small investors and the whole world because of Milton Friedman and his 1978 editorial. The sole purpose of corporations became profit for shareholders. Corporations tied CEO pay to share price. This led to even shorter term decision making, even if consequences are harmful to all, including the corporation itself. Netflix's "Explained" - Season 1 "The Stock Market" discusses all this and is very enlightening.
