  • D&D 4e has a ton of material that can be used in any edition of the game. Hammerfast: A Dwarven Outpost Adventure Setting is a treasure chest filled with NPCs and locations and quests and villians and lore that you can use as is, or as part of your own adventure.

So many of the source books for 4e where stone-cold bangers
Love the continued 4e content my guy
Would love to see you cover some of the unique source guides like the ones they did for Dragonborn and Tieflings

I used to play 4e, and I remember I really liked this book. It's been many years and I never got the chance to run a campaign with it. You are inspiring me now.

I wasn't a fan of the rules set but a bunch of the setting and adventure books had some real gold in them. I've used Hammerfast a bunch of times

Thanks for the video! Such a cool supplement, definitely one of my favourites. I am hoping to run some adventures in Hammerfast soon. I do wish they'd had a companion booklet (whether unique to the Hammerfast area or just for Nentir Vale in general) with encounters and other mini-adventures to help populate the hex map. There's a lot in there already, but I guess the problem with these kinds of modules is you always want more, hehe.

I have this book and I've been meaning to use it. I REALLY want to run Calastryx. Converting her to 5th Edition will be fun.

Huh, I didn't think many covered 4e anymore. Good to see that it hasn't been forgotten, as 4e had plenty of good ideas that I use in my 3.5/pathfinder games.

I read this one recently. Never imagined that Hammerfast, mentioned in the DMG, was like that. A pleasant surprise, I would say ^^

Love this product format! Reminds me of the Fantastic Locations adventures for 3.5, which gave you a black and white adventure with maps on the sleeve cover, and two poster-size combat grids intended for D&D itself or the (super fun) D&D miniatures game.
One supplement I'd absolutely love to see you cover is the 4e Book of Vile Darkness! I managed to buy the whole thing intact at Half-Price Books almost a decade ago, and it *really* pulled me back into 4e. A lot of the later 4e products were really cool, even if I think there were some shaky things about Essentials.

I'm so glad I decided to give 4E a good look. The only edition I haven't played, and honestly it looks like it's the best one. This book is definitely going to be on my short list. Thanks for sharing this

Very nice module. Exactly the sort of supplenent i like - lots of adventure sites and NPCs, and plenty of plot hooks, rather than a single detailed adventure that is harder to fit into your campaign.
I think this was very much meant to be something you selected ideas from to include in your version of the town, because if you put in all the things mentioned, it would be a bit crazy!

This is part of why I absolutely love the Wildemount campaign setting for 5e. :D It gives so much information designed to be used as a springboard for creating adventures. I'll be using it as the setting for my upcoming 4e campaign.

I used to have this book but parted with it down the way (what a fool) - it's a real gem and adds a ton of depth to the Nentir Vale - thanks.

I always liked the towns of the Nentir Vale, but they always seemed too small to me. Especially Hammerfast.

I think this is a feature of D&D towns in general, or at least the WoTC ones.

I have this book along with almost everything 4e that was officially released but I cannot recall offhand if the statblocks and monsters within, were made with the final corrected math or not.

I wouldn't mind the Heroes of Shadow book being covered. I think it relates to Essentials but I like the idea of giving players the option to play vampires. This book looks cool too.
