Maybe the ones that are selling aren't looking to consult
Hi Eden, I work with a lot of successful Etsy shops in many different niches.
It's just that the AI art niche is as difficult to get off the ground as POD is. Most people do not put in the effort needed to succeed and various influencers are selling it as if it's some get rich quick scheme, when in reality there is a ton of work involved.
@@etsyconsultant Facts!
@@etsyconsultantif someone requires
exactly. People who are actually making money are not looking for a consultant. 3 months into my first ever Etsy store and I am already making $950/mo. at around 35% growth rate. It's funny that I'm making 1-2 sales per day and $50 profit/day while he's telling people that it's not happening.
@AnthonyPolanco The figures you share aren't realistic unless you have a huge follower count or ad budget.
Up to $2300/mo. With only 10$/day Etsy ads now. Steady climbing (: thanks for discouraging the competition! 👍
No problem!
Whatever man! 😂😂😂
Hey man do you think you can help me or send me some resources? I was planning on using the art to create a brand myself but if Etsy makes more sense....
Started 2 weeks ago and I have 21 sales with 40+ products. AI is just a tool. Using it effectively is not as easy as it sounds. Like anything, it's about being creative and original. I know art, I know code, I know software, I know design, I have unique interests and I experiment with different strategies. This guy is wrong, just don't make garbage that looks like all the other obvious AI art out there. Be original, and you can be successful.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, David. Absolutely, for people with your experience. My message was aimed at those who are not like you. Great work!
What is the name of your store?
Im an illustrator and it drives me up the wall. I say keep going with the AI, just makes my hand drawn work more valuable 😆
So true!
but how would people distunguish between an AI art and a human one?
And Etsy is saturated with Ai nowadays! I can't stand it.
The ones making money are the one’s who are already artists or have creative minds
@@Drud
Why would it matter if it's AI generated or not as long as it is appealing? Because you put work into it? It's the same as saying I should get graded better because I searched the word in the dictionary and didn't use the most effective and easiest way to search terms in the internet.
I'm a hand illustrated clipartist. I was one of the top sellers. I stopped making art for my shop once AI clipart started flooding the market. It's so sad watching human artists get pushed out by a flood of cheap crap. Those people with those shops are making money off the backs of people who never consented to it on top of it. Seven years of hard work and building skills destroyed in a matter of a couple months. Considering seeing if I can join that class action lawsuit since my art was scraped and used in the dataset.
AI had made everything harder for organic artists, and I believe we have to forge our niche through brand quality or go with the flow and adapt.
I disagree. Making AI that works also took decades of hard work. don't make it sound like AI just showed up in a matter of weeks. You should just adapt. The same way you learned to use a brush (tool) to make art, learn AI (another tool) to make the same art.
@digitalartsi Hi, believe it or not I was thinking about you the other day! Why? Because when I started years ago my etsy shop I was checking competitors and I stumbled at your shop. Despite I was doing svg I often passed by your Etsy because I love your style. I was happy to see that you where uploading regularly and sales where increasing day by day. So sad to hear that you quit. I was way more smaller but i quit posting too because of huge competition and thieves, reselling my svg. That said, I was thinking about you asking myself "gotta check her, how she is going after this AI mess"… and here you are, unbelievable! Sorry about what happen, don’t give up girl ❤ cheers from Italy
I get the video, but the message is poorly worded and delivered. Problem misdirected. The situation is really this:
1) Many people use AI in simplistic way to generate imagery that is artificial, feels lack of human touch, and doesn't resonate with audience especially on etsy. In a sense those people they themselves are not good at researching and thinking from customer's side, and doesn't understand niche taste.
2) Barrier of entry to too low so anyone with a midjourney account (or w/e AI) can make tons of images to open a shop, leading to many poor to mediocre products/stores that offer very little actual esthetic value.
1) combine with 2) are the issues that compounds the problem and is the true cause of failure. But your video didn't emphasize this and simple put the focus on AI art itself, not the wrong usage of AI art. Thus giving AI the blame when it is just a tool, most people just simply wield it wrong.
Again the video entirely come across as AI art empowered stores are bad when it's the user that's the issue. "Don't drive cars to work, it is not a viable action, cars are bad, u will never get to where u want to go and you most likely will get hurt", true, if you are talking only to kids. But you are not are you.
You should say unless you have an art background / in the industry / understand the business, or have someone consulting you that do have those knowledge, or willing to devote time to learn art shops that work and why, don't do generic AI and expect good results. But you straight up said just don't do it. Anyway...
Hi there, appreciate your input
Exactly.
💯
I see it a bit like Canva, you have to add your own spin to it to make it work for you.
I do get your frustrations and why u didn't put the points I mentioned. cuz it really doesn't apply to 99% of population who went to you probably. so this simpler video covers a lot more grounds in that sense and people who know how to do AI art probably, with taste, know famous artist, and know prompting to get their style and study the trends, don't really need this particular video. So don't take my words as purely directed to you. it's a bit more for other's benefit I suppose. Cuz your words apply to most, just not ALL. I wish u spent 3 sec to say that. @@etsyconsultant
Agree. Its not a loophole. Etsy takes work.
Thanks Grazyna, yes!
Etsy will probably end up shutting those sellers down anyways. They are flooding the marketplace with product that anyone can make since the technology is now widely available for free. Why is anyone going to buy something they can simply create on their own. Etsy should have seen this coming and never allowed it in the first place.
Hi there Robert. It looks like AI art is here to stay.
Anyone can make a pizza but some of us have a secret recipe and style of cooking it
I’ve been following a few sellers doing ai art, not the stuff you usually see, but more interesting, different styles, and I’ve watched their sales increase over the past month. So there are definitely some stores that are making it work. I think it has something to do with the look of the art. I’ve seen ai botanical art selling, as well as some other styles.
Hi Shannon, thanks for the feedback, can you send me the store name, i'm interested, thanks.
I am interested too to know the name of the stores, please.
How do you know that that art was created by AI?
@@7131lucky there’s probably a disclaimer saying so.
Can you send them to me too, please? I'm quite interested, thanks.
Within 1st mo etsy selling ai art, 4 sales, so far less than 25 products. However, its more of ai with human touch. I had to digitally paint over weird, off or distorted areas, or add quotes/words, or adjust colors for the look i'm going for. So ya, u have to know how to paint/draw all the same. Unless u dont care about the distorted areas and upload as is :/
Indeed. Good luck.
Great job, i'm also an artist editing the crap out of my images. I'm also good at creating AI art that's good enough to hang on the wall....the artists can succeed with this. Can you link your Etsy store so i can have a look?
Yet many sellers post on UA-cam how easy to setup a store selling AI art, and how quick they can have sales coming in days or weeks . All look so easy and promising.
Indeed, and it isn't true!
Hello!
I can recommend some eCommerce marketing strategies for your store
I hand paint my designs with watercolor. Hearing this gives me some optimism
Yes, keep listing in your store, people who like your art will find you.
You mean I can’t become a millionaire next year copying and pasting my midjourney art??? All the other UA-cam videos say I can get rich though! 😂
Hey Frank, you can actually become a billionaire, but only if you apply me top-secret strategy of publishing a werewolf midjourney art piece every time there is a full moon!
@@etsyconsultant do I need to take the digital online course for $600 first to learn the exact prompts and how to predict full moons??? 😂😂
@@therealfrankwhite 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@etsyconsultant Thought is was Vampire midjourney art only while the Sun is down?
You still have to do "some" work. Lol.
I kind of disagree.
Many sellers use Canva, Kittl etc etc to make their POD designs, that now all have AI capabilities included in their softwares (all other designs on those are premade as well). All the same thing. I think we have to get used to AI rather than fight it, it won’t go away and marketing is ultimately always the winner. Midjourney certainly has this particular style, but AI is here to stay and only getting better. We also will not have Artist as we know to admire for their skills any longer. I mean you can tape a banana on the wall and make millions 🤔🤪 My tip is call everything you make vintage 🤷🏻♀️
Hi there, always great to hear another point of view!
I follow Etsy sellers that works exclusively with AI. In less than 2 weeks one of the stores sold over 1000 products. She went from 1.6K sales to over 3k. Ai art sell a lot specially if the seller has a background on graphic design and illustration and not just slap the same graphic everyone is doing.
Hi Bia, appreciate your comment. Can you send me the store name, I'm interested, thanks.
@@etsyconsultant there are several I follow. The one i mentioned just blows my mind. When I first saw it was on February 23rd and she had 1614 sales. Today she has passed 4400 sales. In less than a month she had over 2.7k sales. She is easily making about 200 usd a day. There are other stores just like her selling very well. Stores that opened in 2023 selling only AI art with over 5k sales. I will dm you the store name as I dont want people jumping all over her store and copying her work putting the very similar copy few cents cheaper.

@@seeMotiv8 this is awesome
There are tons that are actually selling, literally by just giving people images to convert again
Hi, most aren't selling because they get told it is easy to make sales with AI, when it is very difficult. There are tens of thousands of dead Etsy AI stores on the platform, far more than are succeeding.
There are ways to use AI to create art that doesn’t look like the shit you described. And it’s not sold as “art” per se. It works.
Yes there are, the problem is no one is doing it.
@@etsyconsultant u mean the problem is vast majority is not doing it, which is good for the ones who are doing it right, cuz AI art ain't going anywhere. As for the people who make shiny dumb ai arts, let them fail and system will sort itself out.
@@Lisathetreehugger I think the point of people coming to this guy is that they are having trouble getting traffic to their site and understanding how etsy works when driving traffic. so im pretty sure even the stores that arent selling AI art are also nearly zero sales.
Most the AI images have a dark, almost evil undertones. The eyes are always lifeless and distorted. Much of it is creepy.
Hey Carson, yes most of it feels very much artificial (no pun intended)
@@etsyconsultant ah yes that would only make sense lol.. Still though, i always get an evil or creepy vibe from many of the ai created art pieces or figures it makes.
You just dont know how to use it.
I guess you've never seen good AI art before... Some can look very plausible as authentic art.
@@johnnymetonymicNeither does anyone else, apparently.
Hi thanks for your beautiful content can you please explain what you mean by ai for instance if someone creates beautiful ai art and prints it onto a nice cotton canvas dont you think anyone is gonna buy it?
Hi Mike, unless it is highly edited, it's unlikely because there is too much low effort/low modification work out there.
Good grief man, I’m a traditional artist and I don’t sell any original art on ETSY. People want to pay 10 dollars for art. That’s the business model. They move it to Canva and go on
Very true, original art on Etsy is a tough sell.
That is because they don't know how to prompt AI to generate the right kind of art for Etsy. The people you are seeing are all doing that "psychedelic style with nondescript characters in them." A style that no Etsy customer sought for, ever.
Yep, agreed.
I personally love the experience of MidJourney. I enjoy learning art techniques and styles. The ones who can just generate a simple prompt with ChatGPT won’t last long. It’s just like photography. Anyone can use a camera, but if they don’t put in the work to learn the various elements, they won’t succeed. I believe AI is here to stay and it makes my mind more creative to use an image and improve on the quality for the buyer. As you say Nick, always try to make it better.
Hi there, thanks for your comment!
So you have skills? By using AI you yourself has proved you dont have skills.
Movies, tv shows, music, and video games will all be AI generated on demand eventually. This is just the beginning.
Indeed!
That is a Fact!
Or it will not happen. Ai will just be a tool❤
Key here is New Sellers are not selling. Most of them probably have no idea what they're doing. Cant just post listings and expect them to sell. Also takes a ton of time to get going unless theyre paying for ads.
A lot of new sellers are not selling, and they are also giving up far too quickly.
It’s easy to say when you have no idea what kind of Softwear those sellers are using. All the free AI Softwear is pretty basic and of course it all looks the same. If you wanna make money with AI, you gotta pay the big bucks for the paid software.
Yes, you put the effort in, and you are more likely to see results
Same as any other tool if someone put zero effort and doesn’t respect the work enough to try obviously it’ll fail. So as a consultant are you recommending brand new ideas that have never been seen on Etsy? No, you’re probably going with tried and true established areas and products that have sold in the past same as everyone else. Ai art hasn’t been out long for anyone to gather enough data to know if it’ll be successful or not. Sure go on and Ignore Ai and go ahead and recommend positive affirmation cards, Tee Shirts and canvas prints of flowers seems like a good idea 🤦♂️
Hi there, thanks for your comment, always good to hear other ideas. It's more about how difficult Art as a product is to sell on Etsy, rather than bashing AI Art itself.
So where do you think ai art would sell? Any other site?
AI art can sell anywhere IF you understand that is a base to then complete a unique and compelling design with.
Then may I ask what you suggest ??
Could you give some inspiration which kind of designs are worth creating / are evergreens? Thank you 🌟
Hey, thanks for the idea, I have noted your suggestion!
Nah let them. Less competition for those that know what they're doing lol
This is true, but you need decent sales for it to be so.
If you need a consultant, you're already screwed.
I would say you would need some help, yes.
Nik thanks for the content, Im weighing up a phone call with you (damn our South African rand being so worthless!) I have sourced a few niches that seem underserved. It IS AI but its digital backdrops that photographers use for baby, pregnancy shots, brides etc. Is this something I should simply stay away from too? Or even POD specific mock up templates and flat lay product mock ups?

@Etsy Consultant i am sorry brother, but I also have been a 3d artist for more than 7 years. I was just hurt when you said no one is making any money on this, many artists are making money on because they know how to use it. I am familiar with all the aspects of traditional art, but AI will evolve wether we like it or not. It only helps in a small way. I use it to create textures for 3d models and get some character ideas. I don't use it ti build everything, AI isn't yet 100% accurate although it does still help save time.
We shouldn't worry about us loosing our jobs, we will still be in demand because our work is unique and if you have good talent, no one will take it away from you. You must believe in your self and evolve with the technology.
YEP....to what you said, if you know ART STYLES, AND ARE CREATIVE- you can make money with it!
Yes I hear you, but I deal with a lot of etsy sellers who have no idea how to use AI, and build shops that will never sell. As you said you have to use AI as a base for your work, and none of these sellers are doing that. It is a big problem.
Totally agree, problem is I am seeing a ton of sellers who just want an easy ride, and this is what I am referring to, because it never works.
Why pay people when everything is cheaper with AI.
Ok. I’ll open a consultancy😂
Great!
I appreciate your honesty. God bless you and your family 🙏
Thanks Cathy, I appreciate you watching!
It depends on the type of art. I'm planning to put a dozen AI generated art pieces on my store when I have the time to, as I already have a store and I've been selling POD products for over 4 years now. My favorite art styles are surrealism and vaporwave and I was looking to combine those two in the AI art I'm experimenting with. It took me probably hundreds of attempts, adjusting prompts and trial and error to make around 20 images that I really, REALLY love. In my taste those images actually look better than any piece of art in the surreal/vaporwave category made by a person I've ever seen. All I'm trying to say is that you are completely wrong that all AI generated art looks the same. Maybe it does if you go the lazy way and try to sell the first image you created, but if you invest enough time and effort, just like with anything else in life, the results can be mind blowing.
Hey I’m a total noob at selling but I’m good with AI prompts is it better to sell single canvas photos or sets
I can show you some of what it’s generated :)
@@AskCarlos0919 I have no experience with canvas and digital art yet, I've only been selling t-shirts so far. But in my observations most people sell digital files. The advantage is that there's wider range of people who may be interested - some people are looking for art to print on canvas themselves, some people may be looking for wallpapers, etc. The disadvantage would be that some people are looking for a finished product (canvas, wall art, etc.) and they may not be interested in buying digital files
Hi there, Great to hear, wishing you all the best, keep us posted!
People use ai generator that are shit, like in around a minute I found a design for a phone case for my friend and and I made 3 and he said he liked 2 of them. So you just gotta make good ai art but most people who do it dont take time to research or make good prompts and dont make sure that their website allows commercial use as well as the generator.

Well , I made 25.700$ so far doing it 😗
Wow, great to hear! Well done.
I’ve sold loads of ai art on Etsy, you gotta know how to prompt and design properly and i do 😊 £££
Hi, yes it is totally doable, but most sellers have no idea how to do either of those things, and see it as an easy side hustle to make more money, when it is anything but.
Can you link youre store? Or just give the title
It’s sad because us real artists are suffering badly due to AI
Yes I definitely think AI has had a negative effect on traditional art.
Sink or swim
real artists need to learn to adapt and not focusing on excuses or circumstances they can't control. "Real" artist as you call it, would have the creative prowess to making way better art with AI than typical person with better taste, ideas of composition etc...yes AI didn't help real artist, but real artists doesn't suffer badly, it's a challenge that they have to adapt into. Mediocre and poor artists whom doesn't have true creativity above the masses suffer badly true.
These losers don’t care. They’ll keep trying it, but we need to keep the message out there and tell people not to buy that ugly a** “art”.
@@Scott-kj3bcTrust me, people don’t want your ugly Ai generated garbage. The only people buying it, don’t know any better
Opening an AI Art Etsy store is no easy feat, but there are those who make it very possible and successful with proper steps. I personally know 2 individuals making money from their AI stores.
Hi, yes it done correctly, and with time spent on design and making high effort listings, it can be done. However, I deal with the 95% of people who do none of those things, and expect it to work.
Actually the more people who do it & flop the better it is for those who put in more time & effort into their craft to become successful. This is literally capitalism at its finest.
Hi Jerry, very true!
Correct Jerry, nothing has changed, effort is rewarded more.
It doesn't matter, the time is coming when nobody will be able to tell the difference
I honestly think his points are going to be invalid very, very soon. He's probably seen a few bad stores and thinks that the whole thing doesn't work. Hi there, I'll be honest with you it can be very difficult to sell art on Etsy.
Hi I looked up you don't own the copyright, lawyers are fighting about this the legal definition is art created by the artist...but YOU aren't really the artist they are saying...still up in air anyway. I agree Nick it all looks the same :>p
I think it will be regulated at some point, thanks for your thoughts!
All platforms that generate image from AI state that the copyright owned by the creators. Technically these machines (Midjourney, Stable Difussion, Dall-E) don't take pictures/photos of anyone to generate a new image, but these machines make probability calculations from the input prompts of their users.
@Budi hi ya Budi, double check, you have the right to use it freely but lawyers are still out if u own the copyright there's a difference. It's like when u buy from creative market, u have right to use it but don't actually own the copyright of it. Like midjournys free version u can USE it must pay them the higher levels to use it for commercial use....underlying this transaction u get "rights" but not necessarily are the copyright maker. :>)
@@Lambchop59 Yes, I understand the difference between copyright and the right to use. In this case if we use public prompt such as "37 -year -old Israeli Women" then the copyright of the image produced by the AI machine is fully owned by creators. It would be different if we use a prompt like "a mighty woman like Wonder Woman", or "Gal Gadot dressed like Black Widow", it will have legal consequences because Wonder Woman, Black Widow and Gal Gadot are protected by copyright laws. If we use Midjourney, it is required to subscription every month to get commercial rights, but other platforms such as Stable Diffusion freed anyone to get commercial rights without having to pay subscription fees such as Midjourney.
I have to ask whether you're seeing this carry over into original images. I can do some artwork actually.
Even original is tough as nails now.
Or it works you just dnt know
Hi Jishan, thanks for commenting. The success rate of AI shops is terrible. They take a lot more work and knowledge to get off the ground that advertised.

not to mention watching all the new sellers undercutting exhisting sellers all on their way to the bottom clip art used to sell for $5 now they are selling for $1 its just sad
True
You are joking. The monumental amount of global funding going into Ai is like nothing I've ever seen. This is the start. All artist will be replaced within 5 years because you won't be able to keep up. I have seen some of the latest versions of art based Ai software in china and it solidified my opinion. But hey keep wishfully thinking it isn't over.
Hi, and thanks for your comment. No, I am very serious, Etsy has dead AI stores piling up left right and centre, my point is not about the usefulness of AI, or whether you can make a business work with it (both points are true), but the simple fact that Etsy sellers have no idea of the level of work involved to create a successful AI Etsy business; and promptly fail.
@@etsyconsultant I agree. I think most people whether involved with Ai businesses or otherwise tend to massively underestimate the amount of hard work to make any business successful. not etsy channel, some of them are legit just give some data regarding search term / competition (which are always an estimate btw, no tool has etsy's internal data). But most financial channel are taking advantage of ppl's desperation selling the dream and creating a bubble where everyone can succeed so easily.
I don't know, I've seen Etsy shops making 2,000 sales for Etsy art but then again, they may have cash up front for advertising. It could just be that if audience doesn't see your store they don't really click on it. I don't know what makes someone a success while others are not. I've just seen people being successful and in real time too so I don't really get it.
Hi there, yes without seeing what's going on behind the scenes hard to say.
The key is having a niche, not doing whatever everyone else can do. Stop looking for easy solutions to valuable problems. Nothing good comes easily. If it’s easily, you cannot take pride in it. Learn this from all the times you’ve made this mistake and if you haven’t learned it yet, then by all means, go ahead and try so that you can begin to understand what you have just read.
Hi there, thanks for your input!
Ofc, no strategy is good but your consultancy is.. 🙃 blah blah
Thanks for your input.
So what you're saying is quit if you don't sell anything in the first few weeks.
Got it. Thanks for the information.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. I'm saying that it's not an easy way to make a quick buck!$
I'm so glad to hear they're not selling. I'm so disgusted to see these Ai fake art everywhere.
Hi there, thanks for your comment.
You have to think outside the box when using AI on Etsy. Those who do not will fail.
I’ve seen stores that are unique, and use it intelligently, to the point where it’s difficult to tell if AI is being used or not. These are the stores that sell products.
Agreed.
I am researching about selling real painting on etsy but all was given to me are selling AI arts instead.
Hi there thanks for your comment. It can be challenging to sell Art on Etsy, I recommend that you visit my video which explains how to sell 'one of a kind' items on Etsy, link below:
ua-cam.com/video/zPzDptXFMoM/v-deo.html
When you say AI art, are you speaking in broad terms, meaning all AI art, or specifically the more fantasy/futuristic styles? Also, do you foresee Etsy sellers needing to disclose whether the art is original or AI at some point?
Would like to know the answer to this as well
Hey Ben, so to be clear, I mean low effort/no effort AI art that is instantly recognizable as such. I have seen dozens of Etsy AI art stores come to me in the last 2 months and they are all the same, it's called "technicolor hell"..and it really is.
Answered on Ben's question Al
I feel like it would be wise for Etsy to do so. Not everyone wants to support AI art. Even I myself am hesitant to support it. (It's one thing to use an AI tool for assistance in human-created art and the user themself providing their own dataset, but I'm concerned about the idea of commercial use for the stuff Midjourney does, where it's predominantly AI made. Especially since a lot of artists didn't give permission to have their work used for the dataset)
Step father!
Hmm, lol.
How is he gonna say DON'T DO THIS and then offer nothing in it's place?... 🤔
What to do is on my channel!
You can sell AI art. You just need to know how. There is an AI image generator which offers you to print your image on shirts, cups and pillows.
Yep, agreed, most people don't know how, that's the problem.
The wind does not break a tree that bends
True.
Its about effort and people think AI art is easy but you still need creative skills to showcase your listings. Ive seen tonnes of AI stores selling thousands. AI is an enabler not a solution
Agreed.
Yeah… it’s quite tricky getting the prompts right!
THANK YOU!!!! Louder for the back!
Thanks for your support!
I'm about to embark on this journey BUT there's a difference - i'm already an artist, i'm extremely selective, and i edit the images myself to make them look complete. My AI art isn't like the rest, mine i estimate to be top 10-15% on etsy full stop, and i plan on taking this seriously. Not all AI is created equally, especially if you're a skilled digital artist. But of course i could be wrong, and appreciate the potential reality check.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Art in general is very hard to sell on Etsy, but wishing you all the luck!
@@etsyconsultant Thank you! If i get to 100 items and don't sell any i'll contact you :)
I agree! Unfortunately there are also other creators dishing it out as a get rich quick tactic when that's really not it. 😩
Yes you're right, not at all.
Okay.
But it works regardless of our opinions.😢
Hey Mike, appreciate your comment. Unfortunately the vast majority of such stores do not work as they require a lot of knowledge and dedication to get off the ground. Almost anything could work if you put in the time and effort, but this specific niche is still very difficult.
@@etsyconsultant I thought it through now and i think you where right.
Art is loosing its passion the more technology advances
Or people lose passion the more their skills become redundant?
In 100 years when all this is normalised I don’t think we will have artists with zero passion.
Interesting thoughts here.
Or is it just becoming the next big thing?
They say this every time we have a technological advance lol I’ve been making art for 20 years and will never stop bc of technology.. I will use technology to assist my projects. Don’t fear it
Im making my own digitally hand drawn scrapbook papers, so much more fun than mass producing them
Agree!
Do you think kids digitals product is good for Etsy?
Hi, yes.
Thanks a lot
AI bros told me they made 300$ per day ftom Etsy.
AI bros are not being honest lol.
You can make money from Ai Art, just go for what people love the most and create that idea in an art (prompting in detailed) Add tags of what people love the most and publish and repeat
Hi Kemanie, it is possible, but you have to put serious work in, and I see a ton of stores that do not do this, and make no sales at all.
Because those people don’t know anything about art or Etsy and that’s why they end up coming to you, so your “data” is a little skewed.
Fair point, however I have to say most people do not put anything remotely near the effort required to make it work, I see occasional stores that put in the effort (not clients) but most are sub par.
@@etsyconsultant I would agree.
He is right. Put 8 hours a day for 6 months into my ai shop. I've made $48 in 6 months. Not worth the time.
For the overwhelming majority it does not work, simply because the sellers do not realize the sheer amount of work in getting an AI store to work.
i don't agree. I believe it's all about the creator and their work. If they are trying to copy others or be unique in their own way with their AI work.
Fair point!
I love this feedback! But how come some AI sellers are making thousands of sales? I know they are the special .5% at the very top of the niche but… they have to be doing something right? Do you think there is a way to break into A.I. art by making unique listings or something? Thanks!
Hi Jessica, there is absolutely a way to make money utilizing AI, but there is a lot of work involved. Most people don't put in the time, effort, research and money they would need in order to succeed in this niche.
I understand what you are saying but I have been working hard to make images with Ai art for the last two months night and day. I am 55 and drive a truck by day and have always been an artist. I been researching and I totally agree with you about the AI art I have seen. It’s all steam punk video game copy cats. No thought or feeling. I will check back in after I open. Want to have enough art to make a dent.
Hey, thanks for sharing and keep me updated about your progress!
I’ll agree.
I wanted good money from this so I created MINMAL art. But made no luck at all from this so I’m doing planners instead
It's very hard work and takes lots of effort to crack.
@@etsyconsultant It really is. I wanted just a stable income from this and it wasn’t easy finding what I was looking for.
I mean its really cheap, easy and non-time consuming so why not do it on the side
If you can get it to work, why not indeed.
Olá, obrigado pelo seu comentário. Eu concordo, essas mensagens fraudulentas são absolutamente horríveis e muito fáceis de cair. Lamento que você tenha tido essa experiência.
Hate these Ai and droppshipping shit on etsy... its for handmadestuff not that kind of rubbish
I hear you.
A breath of fresh air. Finally, someone who is honest about what's actually happening with this AI art stuff. Immediately subscribed. Hope you make other honest videos like this.
Hey Lapis, thanks for subscribing, all my content is no BS, have a look through.
@@etsyconsultant I am actually addicted to your videos now. I wish I could have seen your channel by searching on UA-cam. But this video was suggested to me by UA-cam based on what I tend to watch.
If it works for them good on them but AI art feels cheep and quick.
When no decent modification work is done, I agree.
Good Ai art sells just as well as good handmade art. Bad ai art sells as poorly as bad handmade art.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Yes absolutely!
I absolutely do not support A.I. being used to take the place of human creativity. A.I art for sale belongs on a non-handmade platform. Let Etsy be a place where people know they can get human created items /art.
Hi there, thanks for your comment.
Shit I am gonna stop and sell mud earth clay art on etsy
Lol
only big mistake is thinking that it is easy to create designs with art, actually it may work if you find a way to market them nicely and make it usable for someone. its been around 15 days 52 sales 8 5 star feedback. I agree people just write basic prompts without any input and planning will not be successful =)
Thanks for your feedback!
@@etsyconsultant thank you for your reply, quick update i am at 167 Sales 48 5 star reviews, soon i will be able to cover your service hopefully :)
@@atahanacik365 Can you link your store so i can check it out? I'm an artist taking AI art seriously, my art is great, but getting started is ridiculously complicated.
You are bang on! LOL AI artwork also falls under creative commons LOL if I see something I like (which I don't) I could save their images and they can't do a thing about it LOL Also, onlt time and everyone will know how to use midjourney etc and simply create their own work and get it printed at Staples for cheaper. LOL
Hi there thanks for your comment!
No, i think your wrong. Some AI art has a license attached to it that protects the owner from copy right. It just depends what tool they used to create the art.
@@TortoiseCashFlow I know most Etsy AI users implement the free version of MidJourney. They create emails addresses and use VPN’s so they can sign up again and again for another free trial MidJourney account. The free version of MidJourney doesn’t give the “creator” the rights to anything produced by AI. It is under Creative Commons licensing.
You obviously know little about how AI art is made if you believe it all falls within the same narrow "psychedelic" genre, and you are able to recognize it as AI when you see it because of this. There are successful shops on Etsy, who sell art that is AI-generated and genre, medium, and style specific where you can't tell it from the real thing; like anything else, its only a small percentage who take the time to do it well, and this is why they are the ones who are successful-- they separate themselves from the pack, and generally are too busy running their growing business to need a consultant.
Hi, and thanks for your comment. Exactly, only a very small percentage do it well, I speak to the others who don't, and they end in failure, I am speaking to them.
Would've been constructive to suggest alternative outlets.
I failed, sorry.
Wait a minute... It's better to go into canva and use the exact same graphics that 2.5million other sellers are using.. There is less copying and infringement around ai (unless you want it to be) then how people normally used to rip each other graphics off. Don't be afraid of new tools but rather learn how to use them right. Ask your self where this fear of ai graphics are coming from..arent you all creative enough? You see, when real designers get a hold of ai magic happens and the result is unique in itself. More unique than most anything sold on etzy. Ai is too new for the etzy bots to have really ranked it yet. Give it a year from now.
Hi there AJ thanks for your comment, time will tell I guess.
AI won't sell. YOU have to sell.
Exactly!
AI definitely is the way unless you have an artist working for free in your basement. The problem I'm seeing with sellers is ZERO effort into the design or creativity after copying and pasting the image onto a mug or T-Shirt. No creative text, nothing inspiring, they don't do anything. They are looking for a "get rich quick scheme" when I've found that Etsy is a TON of work. UA-cam Guru's are all scammers.
Hi there, great comment, yes. It take time and commitment to make a store work.
Instead of just generally bashing an entire class of entrepreneurs, please be specific and tell us WHY you think no one is making sales, and provide a little advice for the people who had the ambition to get into the market.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Art is incredibly difficult to sell on Etsy as it is, my opinion is based on that.
I thought this was Johnny Knoxville
Hahaha, I'll take that as a compliment
