You're AMAZING! We sang a choir of arrangement and it was amazing as well! I love your music, I wish I could go to one of your concerts! I'm glad I was introduced to your wonderful music!!!!!! :-)
What happened to this group? Saw them in Louisville, KY some years ago, phenomenal show, then they seemed to have dropped off the face with of the earth. 😢
Thanks for the message! We're all still in the music biz. Last Celtic Crossroads tour was 2014. We all miss Louisville! We showcased for a conference at the Kentucky Center back in '07.. That's really where it all began for us. Glad you enjoyed the show!
A brilliant track - ideal for the scene in Moby Dick where the harpoonist Queequeg braves the sea - before C.I.G.! Melanie White not that I am into killing whales for meat and lamp-oil!
This version sounds VERY influenced by the Solas version, from their album _The Hour Before Dawn_ (2000), mainly the instrumentation & arrangement. The vocals are clearly different, as Solas had Deirdre Scanlan as their singer, from 2000-2003 I think, and she has a rather light, girly voice with minimal infections in her singing, compared to this girl’s more raw, ornately ornamented style. But the arrangement is totally based on the Solas version… in the same key, too.
@@erikm8372 Hi Erik, I agree. Solas have great music too and I like that version. The singer here, with Celtic Crossroads can sing to very high standard (I wish I had a tenth of her talent to sing!), and on listening again to this version I must admit I did enjoy it more. Music is so individual and it even depends on your mood. I must have been grumpy that day. 😁 Have a nice weekend and let’s listen to some great music! All the best, Ian
This song is so sad and so beautiful written and sung!
It definately has a feeling like your standing on a ship as your plowing thru the waves... a fitting tribute to a great animal
Fabulous Marianne Knight! - Just Magical x
THIS IS THE BEST OF ALL VERSIONS! OMG its so beautyful!

@@celticcrossroads it truly was spectacular, my wife actually got on the stage after the show and got a set list and had you all autograph it !
I am very petite, about 5' 1 or 5' 1 1/2 inch tall.
Marianne also looks like she might be about the same height.
Anyone know?

Not an old song, Written in the1980's. Sorry, but she doesn't do the song justice in her interpretation. She is obviously very talented though.
