@@Heccy_weccyuse common sense they are two different species but still related and besides in the games lores it’s mentioned that the monoblos is endangered possibly because of the hermitars and moboblos and diablos are two different things but still related
I understand why people dislike Ura so much, Im not a great fan of the fight either but I love the design and concept because it looks cool and its creative, my favorite version has to be World Uragaan because it feels like a slightly harder and chaotic fight.
It's just the fact it has more hp than most elder dragons and you fight it quite early when your gear sucks. In master rank he spams the roll so much it's obnoxious and it has really high damage
Radonaan could return with a subspecies having different things stuck to it based on local. Like one in Coral Highlands is covered in coral chunks that cause bleed when they fly off.
In fact the perfect mix for Uragaan would be : Steel Uragaan color + Crystal Beard design + Radobaan moveset + Iceborne Uragaan with its Fire roll (that thing is sick)
The funniest thing to me lorewise is how this guy eats anything with that chin in the way. But he was no joke in World, first monster that carted me multiple times in that game and took me days to defeat, his unique movements and arsenal were insane compared to Radobaan who feels slower and easier to trip up. Plus Ura throws bombs everywhere further limiting the range of movement. Even Bazel's slightly more forgiving in that regard.
Even though I don’t remember much about Uragaan from previous generations, I do like how they handled him and radobaan in worldborne while still being unique in their own way since me and my friends liked to call uragaan the hot wheel of the recess and radobaan the beyblade of the vale or the hammer bros of monster hunter. Fun fact, but you can topple these two mid roll in certain ways. For radobaan, you can easily knock him over mid roll by just hitting him and for uragaan, the only way I’ve been able to stop him mid roll normally is by shooting him with crystal. I’m not entirely sure if there are any other methods of stopping these two mid roll, but these were of the most common methods I’d use while hunting these two.
@@Doomguyhunter1wow when I think of it, it really took time to add to the monster types that weren't Bird Wyvrens. Swear Zinogre was the only Fanged Wyvern until gen 5
Honestly, when I first got into monster hunter world, I hadn't even known there were precious monster hunter games so when I saw Uragann all i thought was "damn, they really just took radobanns bones"
I dunno man, I got sniped off a ledge from one of Uragaan’s rocks when I was clinging to the giant mushroom in volcanic hollow, so he can still probably get you if you position in just the wrong way XD
A few things to add about Crystalbeard Uragaan is that in G Rank, Crystalbeard will sometime hurl rock underneath itself and detonate it. Crystalbeard also has a special where it will roll toward you, dropping the bigger explosive rock, and then finish it off with a huge chin slam which all the rock exploding. One more thing is that its chin and tail can be broken off and can be gathered, but the chin can only be broken off by using a blunt weapon. I hate Crystalbeard a lot in MHG because no one wants to fight it, and I struggle the most using Prowler. Later on in MHGU, with the cat having evaded dodge & guard parry, I'm now having fun fighting Uragaan/Crystalbeard in this game. Fighting Crystalbeard with the Rath-o-meow was a pain to beat in EX.
The one thing I appreciate about Uragaan is that he's one of the few monsters in World that still had a zone-specific 'ultimate' attack (I'm talking about the one where he rolls onto the sloped walls to change direction in the Elder's Recess btw). Specific attacks that monsters can only perform in their nest as a sort of random final fuck you like this attack, Rathalos' 'around the world' attack in 4U and to an extent Diablos' superjump when you get him out of the sinkhole with screamer pods / noios are attacks I really appreciate. I dearly hope they return in the next MH game.
My favorite Uragaan iterations are 3U and Iceborne. They remain simple yet challenging enough fights for the point of the game you're at, also, both 3U and Iceborne have my favorite "Screen Shake Oomph" *(S.S.O. for short) to signify weight and impact for certain monster attacks, one of those being Uragaan who GREATLY shines with this detail, other games have less "S.S.O." which is a bit sad tho
Woah! What a nice birthday present. Uragaan is my favorite Monster in terms of design, i admit his fight might be frustrating. But his concept is so good. You don't see a beyblade monster often here in monster hunter! So thank you so much for making a video about Uragaan! Thanos Chin Monster ftw!
I think Radobaan could work in any game that Nakarkos is in. Nakarkos eats a lot and lives in a giant pile of bones, but would have to leave its nest to hunt. This time window would allow Radobaan to raid its nest of bones to use for its armor.
Radobaan could appear outside of the rotten veil by just explaining the subspecies coats itself in the bones of dead monsters it’s killed, eaten,or found while roaming the environment. Making him a monster that’s an opportunist scavenger that will occasionally hunt live prey to reinforce it’s armor when it can’t find dead monsters to feast on.
I swear, hes one of the most annoying monsters (especially the subspecies variant and its stench gas) to deal with in MHP3rd. Plus, That chin quake AOE always got me
I've never heard of steel urugaan until this video but I really really love the design (except for the stink) and I hope he makes a return someday. love the way he kind of looks like he's made of bismuth
My favourite version is actually MR World Uragaan. As it was my first time encountering him, I really like how the MHW mechanics work for the fight and on a first playthrough ended up being one of my most memorable. I say MR specifically because the fire roll was one the few MR move additions I noticed and it suprised me. All said, there are 2 things about Uragaan I believe you missed: 1. GU G Rank Uragaan also gains Steel Uragaan's gas roll attack, except it's sleep gas instead. 2. World Uragaan can also stop and change direction mid roll like Radobaan, sometimes even doing it more than once in a row!
Funny when the Brachy intro in Iceborne shows how a Brachy destroys an Uragaan but everytime I hunt those two in a mission, it's always Brachy that is easier and Uragaan giving me hell. And goddamn, Uragaan deals heavy blows on Brachy.
The only Uragaan I really dislike is the World interpretation, though it seems like the things I dislike about him come from Crystalbeard so I'd probably dislike that one just as much. I _also_ have not bothered to farm Crystalbeard at all, so I only have one very vague fight with him in my memory from a long time ago. The rest of his interpretations are fine. Radobaan on the other hand, is awesome. I love his design and his armor a lot, and the fact that he's covered in bones rather than really hard stone-like skin means he doesn't feel like an unstoppable wall when you're trying to take him down. It's a shame he wasn't blessed with actual weapon designs, because I bet they'd look just as good.
I first got into mh through 3U. I always did research on a monster prior to fighting it but I had no idea Uragaan existed and he popped up in a delivery quest. Probably the most startled I’ve ever been, trying to figure out what I was looking at.
I can understand why people don’t really like him but I’m not gonna lie he is my top 5 favorite monsters. I can agree his fight is annoying but I just love the way he looks and moves
I first fought Uragaan in World, and he was relatively easy. Then I played Portable 3rd, and he's a completely different beast there. Without World's updated hunter moveset, he's really annoying to deal with
Heheh, you wondered if Radobaan wouldn't likely appear in future due to it requiring "bonefield"? As you showed, Radobaan is pretty much Uragaan with "tar" covering over it. So what about Variant of Radobaan, Sand Radobaan? It could live in Deserts with loose sand or grinds softer stones to dust that it covers in its body with its tar like skin. Water based attacks loose sand off or make Sand Radobaan heavier, moving and attacking slower but dealing more damage. Fire based attacks hardens sand, creating glass like covering that won't protect Sand Radobaan however it can reflect sunlight, stunning everyone nearby, it could also gain very low damage beam that sets targets on fire during day. Thunder based attacks transfer electricity on its sand skin, some of its attacks can cause minor zap damage when close to it. Ice attacks would have somewhat same effects as Water attacks have. Rolling around loosens some of sand on ground and on Sand Radobaan itself, creating sandstorm obscuring vision while it rolls around trying to roll over its target. Blast based attacks can loose sand when blast explosion happens, too often and arena is covered in loose sand in air that acts as if sandstorm. Best way to deal with Sand Radobaan would be to use Weapon with no element or Ailments. When attacking with Poison, Sleep or Paralyze ailment weapons, you would need to attack it 1-4 times (depending on weapon) to loosen sand off, revealing its skin. However Sand Radobaan can cover these open spots up by rolling normally or by sideways.
I find Uragaan to be a really fun fight in 3rd and 4th gen. Gotta stay on your toes to not get tremored or rolled over. G-rank with the extra combos is really fun. But World/Iceborne gave him too little, so he becomes pretty easy to deal with. He feels similar to Barroth in that regard. Radobaan is really cool and interesting, but with how easy it is to break his bones off, he becomes a pushover really quickly as well.
Jay Leno isn't that big in the UK so I didn't know who he was. Someone compared Uragaan to him so I did a google search and had a good laugh. It's a perfect match.
