to me that would be the Illusion school, why create gold when you can just make the merchant think you've already paid him? why going full on telekinesis against orcs when you can cast a mass fury spell? or if you are pacifist, just cast on them a calm spell and talk them into taking their loot into your own dwelling?

The mod community for elder scrolls has always been amazing, and there's always something new I learn about the game every time I play.
I've been playing with Odin since its release and I'm having a blast! Two comments to add: 1. A lot of the named spells are from Morrowind, which hit me in the feels and 2. if you're using Odin along with Apocalypse, duplicate spells won't appear in your game, which really cuts down on spell bloat. As mages are already intensely menu driven, I really appreciate this.
Illusion has always been one of my favorite schools of magic; the amount of control and manipulation it gives you is limited only by your imagination. Glad to see it getting some love here.

i've been watching brodual since early 2012 and even if i don't play skyrim anymore ( i occasionaly play every few years), i still watched brodual video as it remind me of a simpler time, when i would play skyrim on my xbox,watching all the crazy shit that happen on the pc side with envy.
Instantly like the video before even watching it. Im not ashamed to admit i use the skyrim mod playlist as asmr to sleep, you guys have a soothing voice, no screaming or loud sounds, just perfect.
I can not stress enough how good this mod is with apocalypse (there are some dupe spells but they're harmless enough), makes you feel like a proper wizard. Alteration is AWESOME with them installed but every school benefits. If you like magic get this mod.
I've been trying out a different overhaul mod that has an interesting feature that more mods should think of implementing: Staves give experience toward their school of magic, and using Staves can eventually teach you the spell itself, even from Daedric artifacts like Skull of Corruption. The mod is, "Skyrim Perk Enhancements and Rebalanced Gameplay". I'm not sure how well it would play with this spell overhaul mod since I have seen that it changes some spells (e.g. Ward spells are now a Bound Shield spell where you summon a shield, and when you block with the shield the normal Ward spell activates. You can shield bash with it making it useful for approaching and stunning enemy mages). But the general theme is to make skills less linear, make the skill levels themselves offer benefits beyond unlocking perks (e.g. Pickpocket level improves your unarmed damage, Speech improves the strength and duration of shouts), and to provide more ways to gain skill experience (e.g. running with armour gains experience for Light/Heavy armour, unarmed damage gains experience for Pickpocket).
Restoration is a valid school of magic!
