+xlrremix The right sniper rifle can put a military armored troop carrier or an older generation tank out of commission. I don't think any vehicle that's designed for practical city street use could withstand it, armored or not.
However, armored civilian vehicles have saved lives. That's why there's a market for these things. Most attacks seem to happen with assault rifles and handguns. Maybe because a good sniper rifle is harder to acquire, takes time and knowledge to properly deploy and use, you'd have to deploy it where no one could see you, it's relatively large, you wont get many shots off (if more than one) and if the target was inside the vehicle you would likely not even know exactly where they were. A handgun or assault rifle on the other hand...cheap, light, fast action, you can carry it under your clothes. But how many people try their luck with those against a VIP vehicle nowadays? I'm guessing very few, and that's probably the main reason why people buy these cars.
