I owned terrano 110ps, then i had a terrano 85 ps..I think 85 ps is fun to drive in city...u can drive as slow as 30km/hr in 4th gear..clutch is also light as compared to 110..
Duster is good vehicle with suspension comfort ..most people won’t check rear seat comfort on test drive .. but we checked because of mothers back pain issues duster satisfied everyone.. blinking features are not useful in long term.. duster gives tyre mileage 45km, Deisel mileage 18-20, service charge 5k- 7k , 85ps is better if you don’t have highway ride because 1. Lighter clutch comparing 110 2. No fuel pup /injector issue 3. No lag in 2nd gear ..
I am also a duster owner since 2015 85ps rxl plus diesel.. 78k kms driven. Positives: superb ride comfort, excellent suspension, macho look. Negatives: interior is a letdown, expensive to maintain, quality of parts are pathetic. But still I love this car. Not even a single so called " SUVs" under 20L can't match this one. In my opinion only jeep compass and c5 are better than this. If anyone planning to buy diesel variant you have to avoid 110ps due to ver high maintenance ( injector issue). 85ps is ok, but it has gear struck issue for few cars.
Can you explain the Grear stuck issue? I bought a used 2013 85Ps recently. It is doing good but I observed the reverse gear sometimes doesn't shift properly. Not sure if it is my way of shifting or is that the problem?
@@Sunil_KrishnanI own a Terrano 85 ps. The gear stuck issue as mentioned happens randomly. Basically the gear lever gets stuck at the 1st gear and makes it virtually impossible to shift to second unless you use a lot of force. It's a common issue on most 85 ps models. The trick here is to re-engage the clutch to release the gear.
Comparing to 85ps model 110 ps model has a lot of turbolag....especially in 2nd gear......so in city usage i enjoyed 85ps model more than 110ps......pakshe long pokaan the latter one is just awesome!

Duster's last version with the 156hp 1.3l turbo petrol was a fantastic engine. It was co-developed by Renault,Nissan, Mercedes-daimler & Mitsubishi. So you can imagine how great the engine would be. Even Mercedes glb which costs ~80lakhs uses the same engine!

ഞാൻ irelandil same 1.5dci use ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ engine 5 lakh km ഈസി ആയി ഓടും. 2000 rpm ഇൽ 120km വരെ പോകും. 18-20 mileage ഉണ്ടു. regualr service is a must. radiator leak aanu ithinte problem after 150,000km. ഓടാതെ കിടക്കുന്ന duster എടുത്താൽ പെടും, gasket, rubber parts ഓടാത്ത വണ്ടികൾക്ക് പെട്ടന്ന് stiff aayi ഡാമേജ് ആകുന്നതു ഇവിടെ കാണാറുണ്ട്. അടിപിടി ശബ്ദവും electric കംപ്ലൈന്റ്സും കൂടെപ്പിറപ്പാണ്.

Vehicle is good how ever maintenance is a nightmare especially for 110 PS. Fuel injector issues seems common. Radiator issues can be there. There were multiple incidents where Renault Duster got fire. It is due to faulty Radiator. My car almost got fire immediately after service. I sold my 2016 Duster in 2021 due to very high cost of pathetic service from Renault. I think issues are mostly with 110 PS vehicle many of the people who have 85 PS are still driving those very happily
85 PS is not at all underpowered for indian conditions, infact its the better driving car than the 110 PS, very tractable with torque available from lower rpm,very much more drivable than the the 110 PS variant. The drivability of the 110PS 4x4 Duster is very much better though

Very poor review bro. I am using Duster for 6 years and it’s a beautiful car Mine is a RXZ 110PS Automatic car. Let me first talk about space and comfort: I have a Grand vittara too but my family still prefer the back seat of Duster as they say even 4 can go inside ! Bro also talk about stability after 100 or 110.. dear bro I reach Bangalore from Nilambur in 5-5:30 hours.. this car is planted on the road . I drove it even at 150 and it’s the one of the most stable in that segment. Creta or Seltos or Vittara in that plantedness don’t even come near.. it’s a heavy car ! This car before you even know reach 100 in highway Its suspension is one of the best.. Negative : high maintenance and part cost. Old type interiors … sometime u feel it’s old. Especially after I bought my vittara Low pickup from low speed due to slow AMT gear box I haven’t watched the full video as both the space and speed/ stability point bro scored very low marks as it’s way lower than what’s actual !! My verdict : I am not changing my duster as the only alternate I see at the minimum is Fortuner. And I can’t buy that now ! Thanks

Mine is a RXZ 110PS Automatic car.
Let me first talk about space and comfort: I have a Grand vittara too but my family still prefer the back seat of Duster as they say even 4 can go inside !
Bro also talk about stability after 100 or 110.. dear bro I reach Bangalore from Nilambur in 5-5:30 hours.. this car is planted on the road . I drove it even at 150 and it’s the one of the most stable in that segment. Creta or Seltos or Vittara in that plantedness don’t even come near.. it’s a heavy car ! This car before you even know reach 100 in highway
Its suspension is one of the best..
Negative : high maintenance and part cost.
Old type interiors … sometime u feel it’s old. Especially after I bought my vittara
Low pickup from low speed due to slow AMT gear box
I haven’t watched the full video as both the space and speed/ stability point bro scored very low marks as it’s way lower than what’s actual !!
My verdict : I am not changing my duster as the only alternate I see at the minimum is Fortuner. And I can’t buy that now !
