there has never been a better player given to a more undeserving franchise so much so that his own city doesn't view him as the best player in the world even though he is statistically way better than anyone in the league
Wasn’t given they chose him, and fans love Jokic in Denver. He’s one of the best players in the world, as fans we can be bias. Giannis is definitely in the discussion though in terms of overall impact. Giannis is better defender, Jokic is the better playmaker.
@@andrewmiller7052 he is by far the best player, if he played on bucks he would have swept the league instead of having 2 more wins than this team, once again we can see why he needs to leave Denver as soon as possible. If buck or lakers had Jokic he would be universally recognized as the best player.
So if you're NOT saying that Jokic is ever leaving, why are you talking about it at all? NSS. Anything could happen in the future. Might as well talk about how you can't promise that nukes might not fall on denver. Probably won't. but it's possible.

The Nuggets will be better without Tim Connelly. I feel bad for Calvin Booth having to work around Tim's mistakes for the next 5 years. MPJ and Jamal Murray were both overpaid and were both immediately bad contracts. Neither one was our #1 guy. Neither one was ever an all star. I'm not saying that they aren't talented. I'm not saying they didn't deserve strong contracts to keep them here. I am saying that MAX contracts was STUPID for BOTH.
Connelly had his strengths and he had his weaknesses. The Jamal Murray contract was not a bad contract did you see what he did in the bubble after he got that contract? He was a big reason why the nuggets were able to go to the western conference finals. Jamal Murray when he is playing fully healthy and to the best of his ability is a max contract type of player. Porter is a different story he has the upside to do it but he hasn’t done it yet. The porter max extension is fair to criticize until porter proves other wise.
@@trevorsalzman6528 Jamal Murray did have a fantastic bubble. However, he is generally inconsistent and usually has fewer than 10 games during the regular season where he gives a great performance. The point wasn't what could he be worth, it was what kind of contract would it really have taken to get him to sign an extension. No all star, inconsistent, not a great defender, certainly less than $30M/yr. It's about the team and who else they're able to put in the 3-10 spots around him and Jokic. Not counting Jokic and the players on minimum contracts, every player on that roster is overpaid by 20-30%. That is TC's fault and Calvin's headache to work around for the next few years. If they had Jamal at $25-28M a year, you're saying that he's underpaid???
@@stevenjmay44 I didn’t say Jamal was under paid. I am saying they are paying Jamal for what he is gonna do not just for what he did do. Of course there are injury concerns with both players more with Mpj’s back but that’s the risk they took when they gave him his max contract.

Coach MM is a loser, he can't recognize a player and a disabled person.Expecting the herbivore MPJ to be the player the Nuggets need is like expecting a win at the bookmaker/ Jokic will still have to play alone with a group of citizens and with players on a 10-day contract
I don’t understand how Denver fans are supposed to receive this news. Jokic’s personality doesn’t make this a surprise however should we be excited? Is Jamal the person to leverage his ‘status’ to get the cheap Kroenkes to get a practice facility, TV deal and a G-league team in Colorado ? This is becoming a total shit show.
In what way is this becoming a shit-show? It really, really isn't. There's nothing "shit-show" about this. A shit-show would be something more like the Nuggets not being sure who would succeed TC, and Jokic saying he's gonna wait to sign the supermax. Then there's drama. This has been smooth and honestly fine. The Nuggets have a G-League team - there's literally no reason they have to move from Grand Rapids to CO. There are plenty of teams with G-League affiliates outside of their own states. The TV deal is bad and frustrating, but the Nuggets also aren't the only team with this issue for their RSN - Dallas has the same, the Pelicans are going through it right now, and even the Yankees' YES network is now in a battle with a bigger network.
@@Sean.Cordes OK that might’ve been an extreme take. His supermax offer will be 5yr/260m. If he leaves he can only get 4yr/~160m from another team. He doesn’t have much leverage unless he’s willing to take 100m less. Seems unlikely he would risk that just to get a G-league team in Broomfield, and a practice facility that would take years to build

Why does almost every Locked on Nuggets show looks like a cry for help from Matt, as if someone is forcing him make them?
I think the Kroenke’s lack of commitment, if anything, will lead Jokic to leave.
